I put it on and can’t stop sniffing myself; it’s pure addiction. I detect the rose and amber strongly, especially the amber, which is my favourite note. It’s elegant, soft and subtle, perfect for skin-to-skin intimacy; nothing beastly, just something to be close to. Sometimes it smells like a cherry lollipop, perhaps the amber is creating that sensation. I can see myself wearing this in the afternoon during spring, with a polo and jeans, or at an outdoor dinner in a shirt on those crisp evenings. A fantastic perfume that will definitely join my collection, although the €160 price tag is a little steep.
I’ve only tried it once and I’m already hooked; it’s very attractive. It’s a well-blended sweet scent that feels oriental and addictive, without losing Robert Piguet’s classic elegant style. The concept is a clean patchouli with amber, giving it a soft, rounded texture; the castoreum anchors it with an animalic touch so it’s not intrusive, while the bergamot relaxes it with freshness. I don’t know yet how it develops, but the longevity seems high, around eight hours, and so does the sillage. I was impressed with just one spray on my wrist; although I need to test it more, the first impression is that it will be a great perfume.
