HerStory by Avon: sweet with patchouli, lasts 2 to 4 hours with a moderate trail, suitable for over-18s in cold climates for casual wear. It’s a sweet scent mixed with a strong, penetrating patchouli that amplifies the opening; after five minutes it softens and the gourmand notes emerge, winter-like, sweet, warm, with a caramel touch, even if they don’t describe it as such. They say it’s woody with white flowers, but once it dries down, it smells sweeter and more gourmand. On clothes, it lingers noticeably until you wash it. The bottle is beautiful, modern, and aesthetic, like current gourmands. Among the official notes are Bourbon pepper, iris flower, and prism patchouli; the latter is the most prominent, but it disappears to leave that sweet gourmand trail. It’s a current scent for those who enjoy sweetness.
To be honest, I didn’t like it at all at first; the opening is alcoholic and horrible, haha, but once it dries down, it becomes something exquisite and quite sweet… You have to let it dry for at least 10 minutes because it smells awful at first, I don’t know why this change is so abrupt. It’s lovely for going out during the day for lunch or an afternoon tea. I’m still testing it, so I’ll add more details once some time has passed.
I absolutely love that oriental note with a musky base. It leaves a regular but very distinctive trail. I really enjoyed it.
I love its oriental scent and slightly powdery touch. It leaves a moderate trail that’s very identifiable. I really enjoyed it.
I find it sweet and noticeable in moderation. The price varies, but keep an eye out for offers, as they’re usually very affordable. I liked it quite a lot. Normally, very strong fragrances give me a headache or an allergy, but this is just right and perfect for sensitive people.
What a surprise! The opening reminds me of LVEB, Her Secret Temptation, or Imari Fantasy. I thought, ‘another copy of La Vie Est Belle’, and was already looking for someone to gift it to. But once it dries down, it leaves an exquisite and distinguished floral, leaving behind that penetrating sweetness that’s so popular right now. I was utterly delighted. A positive find, a lucky blind buy…
It begins with a blast of alcohol that makes the fragrance evaporate quickly. After a while, a very soft, almost spiced floral appears on the skin, but it’s nearly imperceptible. It has that stinging sensation I notice in other Imari or Far Away scents. It has nothing to do with La Vie est Belle.
Completely agree with Keren. The opening smells of pure alcohol. I own LVEB and can’t detect even a hint of similarity.
