This perfume smells of ‘GREEN’ and teleports you hyper-realistically under the fig tree, with a linear scent of its leaves. The longevity and fixation are top, though I wouldn’t say it’s beastly. If you can get a discount online, it’s worth it because it’s expensive. The recreations are pricey too. Don’t buy it blindly: it’s a maximum gamble; you have to like that leafy scent. It resembles the older brother of Kenzo Man Intense or CoolWater, but more mature, dark and intense.
‘GREEN’ is a hyper-realistic journey just beneath a fig tree; it smells of green leaves, pure and linear. The fixative is beastly, though the price is high (look for discounts, as recreations are also expensive). Don’t buy blindly: it’s a maximum risk if you don’t fancy that leafy smell. It’s the older brother of Kenzo Man Intense or CoolWater, but more mature, dark, and intense.
I’m a fig fan, and this Figuier Noir has earned its place among my favourites. The opening is the trickiest part: black pepper and clove dominate on my skin alongside the fig leaf, pushing the cardamomo I can’t quite identify into the background. Then, the leaf lingers with a soft milky tone that paves the way for candied fruit; it’s that initial fig aroma but less green, more fleshy, and it sweetens without becoming cloying. It’s woody, clean, and sober, but the fig always adds a bit of zest to the scents with its nuances. It evolves without abruptness: the spicy, green opening yields to a slightly sweet fruity woody. A lovely, masculine scent, though suitable for any occasion. Performance is moderate; it starts strong due to the spices before maturing into something elegant and discreet. I expected more longevity, but it might just be my skin. I see it as an ideal signature scent: more formal than casual, and more mature than youthful, though it doesn’t quite reach the heights of Bois Mystique or Fougere Royal. It has that serious Houbigant cut, but the fig makes it more relaxed. If you like Philosykos or Bois Imperial, they’re different, but you might enjoy this. Best to try before buying as it’s not cheap. I’ve loved this option from Houbigant, which works very well alongside Perris Monte Carlo. If you can, don’t miss trying it; it could be that relaxed classic you’re missing.
As a fig fanatic, this Figuier Noir deserves a spot among my favourites. The opening is intense: pepper and clove dominate on my skin, leaving cardamomo in the background. Then, the green leaf turns milky and brief before moving to candied fruit: fleshy, sweet but not cloying. It’s woody, clean, and sober; the fig always adds a bit of zest. It evolves from spicy to fruity-sweet without abruptness. A lovely, masculine scent, though suitable for any occasion. Performance is moderate: strong at the start due to the spices, then elegant and discreet. I expected more longevity, but it might just be my skin. It’s an ideal signature scent: formal but with that relaxed fig touch, more so than Bois Mystique or Fougere Royal. If you like Philosykos or Bois Imperial, give this a try (though they’re not the same), but do it before spending as it’s not cheap. Houbigant, with Perris Monte Carlo leading the way, is doing a great job.
Careful, this isn’t a normal fig perfume. It’s a complex thing, far from being a sweet, natural fig. It’s more of a rock version mixing fruits, dark herbs and a salty touch with plenty of spicy character. For brave people who want to stand out and avoid the simple.
Note: it’s not the typical sweet fig. It’s a rock ‘n’ roll version with a fig base, a mix of fruits, dark herbs, a salty touch, and spices. For the brave who want to stand out and avoid the simple or too natural.
What a pity I don’t like it, because it has a fantastic ripe fruit patchouli with touches of geosmine—a combination I adore. Unfortunately, fig is on my list of ‘fruits that are more dangerous than a monkey with a flamethrower’. It doesn’t stop, it doesn’t stop, it makes me nauseous. If you can handle fig well, listen to this perfume.
For me, the fig isn’t the star, nor does it smell like natural fruit as I remember it. What you do notice is black pepper throughout the entire journey and a sweet, velvety base. It’s very rich, long-lasting and leaves a nice trail, even if it isn’t that typical fig scent.
For me, fig isn’t the main note, nor does it remind me of that fruit in nature. What really stands out is the black pepper in all phases, with a sweet, velvety base. Very rich, good longevity and trail, but it’s not a typical fig perfume.
This is a fig bazooka right in your face. BUM! It’s a green fig, not a fruity, sweet or juicy one. It smells more of fig leaf, with lots of pepper, spicy and woody. It’s dry, astringent and green, but the fig is very present. I’m not saying anything bad, am I? If you like these notes, you’ll love it. It’s potent, long-lasting and has a trail. Simply, it’s not for me.
This is a bazooka of green fig, not fruity or juicy—it’s a spiced fig leaf with lots of pepper and woody notes! It’s dry, astringent, and green, but the fig is very present. I’m not saying anything bad; if you like these notes, you’ll love it because it’s powerful and long-lasting. Just not for me.
Very well-made perfume. The fig note dominates all stages, from the green opening to the sweeter dry-down. It’s green with floral and sweet touches, nothing invasive. Ideal for spring or intermediate weather. Different and elegant.
Brilliant perfume. The fig note dominates from the initial green opening to the sweeter finish. It’s very well crafted, smelling green with floral and sweet nuances. Nothing invasive, ideal for spring weather. It’s different and elegant.
The idea behind Celine is a total success. A marvel of mature green scents, ideal for a man with firm character and elegance. Perfect for mornings that go from cold to warm; that subtle sweetness gives an addictive spark and makes you feel part of a seductive group.
A grand proposal from Celine. A marvel of inspiration: mature green accords for a vigorous, firm, and elegant man. Perfect from cold to warm; its subtle sweetness creates an addictive spark that makes you feel part of a seductive group.
