Descripción

Balade Sauvage by Dior, an olfactory creation launched in 2018 and signed by François Demachy, presents itself as a fragrance for men and women that fuses wild freshness with floral softness. Its olfactive structure unfolds with bergamot, ozonic notes, and petit grain in the top note, evoking a pure sea breeze. The heart of the composition reveals an exuberant bouquet featuring fig tree, fig, solar notes, orange blossom, Hedione, marine notes, rose, and peach, creating a luminous and organic atmosphere. To close, the base notes of pebbles, Amberwood, labdanum, and vanilla impart a warm, woody, and enveloping trail that lingers on the skin.

I think I’ll like it for the notes… But before ordering blind, could someone share a small review or first impressions???

  • Delicious, fresh, woody, marine, fig tree. Unfortunately, it barely lasts on the skin and the trail is poor; no one smells it around me.

  • This is an excellent Dior launch, as it finally provides a truly tropical scent that is as versatile as it is unisex. While it is centred on the fig note (which isn’t my favourite), I feel it isn’t overpowering. Balade Sauvage combines fig with other fruity notes, also incorporating soft tropical floral notes and blending them with juicy fruits, creating a fresh, tropical yet warm, clean aroma. There is a warmth that feels very comforting and natural; some citrus notes also add a touch of freshness. The quality is excellent and the performance is solid with good projection and longevity. For those who love Dune for its excellent fig note, you will sincerely love this, you’ll be completely enamoured; it’s the ‘niche’ version of Dune due to its extremely high quality, sharing some notes but increasing in quality. I recommend it.

I only need a couple of drops of Balade Sauvage to close my eyes and be in Galicia, on a slightly cloudy day where occasionally the clouds reveal a glimpse of lost sunlight. It has marine notes that are not salty at all, blending perfectly with mineral and ozonic notes in the pure style of late 90s perfumes, but very modernised. Just as happened with Belle de Jour, here the solar notes are exactly the same for me, never recognisable in other perfumes. Balade Sauvage is very pleasant, calming, revitalising, perfect for spring and summer afternoons. Informal yet elegant, perfect with a linen outfit. I dare to say that if it had a bit more intensity, it would be in my top 10, but although I love it, I feel it lacks a bit of punch, so for now, I’ll do without it. However, I won’t take my eye off it in case I fancy treating myself, as there’s no better gift than the one you give yourself. Ahhh, I love figs, and here, they feel right at home.

Incredible aroma, spectacular. That subtle fig note makes it a revitalising fragrance, bringing peace, calm, and a unique freshness… The drawbacks, on my skin at least, are that it lasts nothing and projects nothing at all, a real pity because the scent is unique and a delight 😢.

  • It begins with a bright, sparkling citrus note, then transitions to fig, fig leaf, I believe with a hint of coconut, something salty and woody. It reminds me of a beach where waves repeatedly wash over a piece of wood warmed by the sun. It’s a discreet, lovely, spring-like fragrance. It has excellent longevity on my skin, lasting 10-12 hours; the downside is that the trail becomes quite weak after the first couple of hours, with moderate projection. • Although marketed as unisex, it truly suits women perfectly. It’s super floral, and that fig note… wow, it’s a delight. I bought it blindly due to the hype and it didn’t disappoint at all; in fact, I loved it, but it’s too feminine for my taste. In the end, I gifted it to my wife as it looks much better on her.

  • Although it says unisex, the truth is it suits women brilliantly. It’s super floral and that fig note… puff!, it’s a delight.
