  • It is a lovely perfume worth trying for tuberose lovers. Basically, it is green tuberosas sweetened with pear. In the opening, it seems it might be too sugary, but it quickly balances out, leaving a well-balanced sweetness with the green notes, which are very wearable here. The tuberosas are creamy, not excessively dense, with a spicy touch. The dry down is cheerful and sparkling, reminding me a little of Armani’s My Way. French Flower is less cloying, less sweet, and of better quality, although if you like one, you will likely like the other too. It is not for people who are put off by something mature; on the contrary, it is super cheerful and relaxed, ideal for women from a young age. I think it is more versatile, wearable, and suitable for heat than most tuberosas. Tested at 20 and 35 degrees, the scent changes and becomes denser/sweeter in high temperatures. I wore it to the beach and it never became overwhelming, with moderate projection and trail. Occasionally, there are notable bursts lasting up to four hours, then it drops to skin-level until the eight-hour mark in total. A jovial, natural tuberose scent of supreme quality. Ideal for summer. It is true that there are similar options in the commercial world and even in niche, such as Tubereuse Imperiale by BDK, which I might prefer. My boyfriend does not quite like it; he finds it too youthful and sweet, so for now, I will not add it to my collection. However, I enjoy wearing it and invite you to try it.

  • I have loved the aroma; the quality is elegant and distinctive. I have no memory of a perfume like this; it is unique. Excellent value for money; I want it. Highly recommended at 100%.

A delightful perfume that I will soon have in my possession; this house produces very rich fragrances, and this is no exception in terms of quality, scent, and everything else.

  • I have it. I tried it on my arm, wandered around the shopping centre, and that exquisite scent followed me everywhere I went. The notes are of maximum quality; you can tell it’s excellent craftsmanship. They say it’s similar to My Way, which I also own; yes, they are alike due to the neroli, but My Way is sweeter and more artificial. French Flower has a spicy ginger note which is the best part, combined with natural neroli that doesn’t go unnoticed. The Chinese tea mixed with the ginger makes it fresh, elegant, and gives an impression of a tidy person. It lasts quite a while on the skin with high projection, although My Way lasts longer and has a greater trail. I’m in love with Matiere Premiere and you won’t smell the same as anyone else. I let it macerate for two months and the ginger came through more; it’s a 10/10. Since buying it, I haven’t bought another (previously it was two or three a month) and I was absolutely stunned. The pear is well-integrated with the neroli and the ginger is juicy but in the background. It’s super versatile and fresh, and I’d use it all year round.

I’m not sure… it just doesn’t fully convince me. It’s a neroli-based perfume, but these come across as artificial and sticky to me. I know it’s the common neroli used in perfumery and that I might be used to hyper-realistic, carnal, and dirty notes, but this smells like bubblegum or a rotting pear. The other notes, the tea and the ambroxan, are of high quality. It’s a neroli suitable for daily wear with a clean, saline aura that highlights the contrast, although I can’t quite detect the pear’s sweetness, the orange blossom’s vivacity, or the ginger’s spice. In short, it’s a sweet, informal, tropical, and exotic neroli perfect for summer and spring. I won’t buy it due to personal taste, but I recommend it; I used the 2ml decant for a single weekend because it’s so easy to carry. It lasts about four hours with a good trail.

  • To me, it has that background ambroxan that drives me mad… that’s why I always say: test before you buy, and let everyone draw their own conclusions. Definitely NOT for me, no matter how hard I try.

  • I received the decant and eagerly applied it, but it was a letdown. The quality is brilliant; Matiere Premiere cares for every flower and oil. I already have Parisian Musc and Neroli Oranger, and I love them; the neroli is ideal for heat and the musk is elegant, but this French Flower overwhelms me. The duration and trail are enormous; it smells throughout the house in minutes. Perhaps that is why I do not quite like it; I am not one of those who seeks impact perfumes; they weigh me down, and I prefer the fragrance to arrive and then fade. Explosive tuberose lovers will adore it, but I cannot handle it. Excellent quality, undoubtedly.

  • I received the decant and couldn’t wait to try it, but it was a real letdown. The quality is outstanding; Matiere Premiere really cares for every flower and oil. I already own Parisian Musc and Neroli Oranger and adore them; the Neroli is perfect for heat while the Musc is elegant, yet this French Flower suffocates me. The longevity and trail are immense—it smells all over the house within minutes. Perhaps that’s why I don’t quite like it; I’m not one for heavy impact perfumes, I prefer scents that arrive and then fade. Those who love explosive neroli will adore it, but I simply can’t handle it. Excellent quality, without a doubt.
