What a disappointment. I wore it yesterday and regretted not wearing it more; it lasted only a short while. Terrible. First, I can’t find the iris or the cinnamon. Second, I still smell fruity and acidic notes typical of Diesel. Discarded. They have very little personality; they are like something within nothing.
It doesn’t help much that Diesel launched this to improve its range. For me, the original Fuel for Life remains the best, although I find this new one very youthful due to its sweetness and a base that fails to reach the intensity of Creed’s Virgin Island Water. I think the best thing about Diesel is its clothing; with their fragrances, they have a lesson to learn. This Spirit adds nothing, even if it pretends to be more adult.
They gave it to me for my birthday and I loved it. It resembles One Million but smells different, which I like because this one isn’t as mass-produced. It is long-lasting and leaves an interesting trail. Its only flaw is a lack of originality.
To me, it feels like a Loewe Solo ready for a night out, with a hint of Spicebomb. It doesn’t convince me, but I admit the performance is good and the price decent. It could be a good option for those seeking cinnamon that is half-sweet and half-bitter.
LOVE AT FIRST SNIF! It was the only Diesel fragrance I ever tried. I liked YSL’s L’Homme Parfum Intense and, seeing that this Diesel shared similar notes, I decided to give it a go. Yes, they are distant cousins, but it is super sweet. Notes of amber, cinnamon, iris, incense (what a good one), and orange blossom. Be careful, it is strong; four sprays are enough, more and it becomes cloying. Projection and longevity are excellent. Ideal for those who love sweet scents.
The queen of the Fuel for Life saga. The original bores me with its raspberry and anise; it smells childish. This Spirit adds body and maturity, a nocturnal and dangerous touch. The amber and incense bring it close to YSL’s L’Homme Intense, a seduction weapon. Brutal price, decent 5-hour longevity without becoming cloying. Pity it was discontinued in 2023-24; now you can only find it on the grey market at inflated prices.
