Descripción
Eternity Flame For Men by Calvin Klein is an oriental fougère fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this olfactive composition was created by Laurent Le Guernec. The top note presents the freshness of pineapple, while the heart reveals the herbaceous character of rosemary. The base settles on a warm and sensual foundation of amber, leather and labdanum.

I’ve already tried it and it has won me over; I detect a nod to Armani Stronger With You and Creed Aventus, especially at the outset. I’ll be adding it to my collection soon.
I was keen to try it. There are mixed opinions and diverse criteria, so today I popped into a local perfumerie and sprayed my arm. It started fruity and spicy, very current, with memories of known fragrances. But its charm is the evolution: it goes from sweet to dry over hours, with an ambered pineapple and very pleasant dry leather. It’s masculine, youthful and carefree at first, becoming more rigid and formal later. The best part: excellent performance, good longevity and trail from start to finish (a few sprays last all day or night). It’s honest and has good prices. A delightful creation.
Eternity Flame for men has two very distinct sides. At first it’s very sweet, with fruity and balsamic notes, but it smelled of plastic and neither my husband nor my daughter liked it. After two hours it improves greatly: sweetness drops, it keeps the fruity touch and highlights the amber with leather. Ideal for cool or cold weather, or for the evening, with a casual style. Lasts more than 8 hours with moderate-low projection. Note: it has nothing to do with the original, which makes me wonder why they don’t launch it as something new instead of being the latest Eternity.

Smoky pineapple, leather, balm and oak… The opening isn’t quite pleasant, but as it dries down it improves until I like it. Are you by the fireplace? Let me know. It evokes a cabin with a nice view, freshly varnished furniture and a bonfire. It’s very woody, spiced and different from CK’s latest.
Tested it yesterday and I see Calvin Klein is adding to avant-garde trends. I agree with beto-ruiz: moderate trail, extremely sweet opening with pineapple and floral hints that refresh the rosemary. I don’t notice two very distinct phases; sweetness is the leitmotif. The leather feels like in Diesel’s Only The Brave, but the dry-down is barely noticeable; the middle notes are highlighted. Perhaps it’s too subtle for what’s intended. It has sensuality and attraction power, though it falls into the defect of not lasting long enough. As a conquest scent for a cool night it could work, very casual.
Worked well last night: noticeable but not aggressive, so it doesn’t outshine the new releases from Azzaro, YSL, Hermès or Cartier. It’s charming, witty and more versatile than I expected; not just for evening wear, but suitable all year round in casual mode. I’d love to see a proper perfume version. It’s not expensive, creates an instant connection and smells of sweet balsamic pineapple, followed by fresh rosemary, wood, leather and that sweet amber note that’s always there.
Finally bought it happily for €29.95 at my usual perfumerie (100ml). It’s lovely, cheerful, with a sweet smoky pineapple opening that I adore, followed by that second phase that defines beto-ruiz: wood and a leather effect that make it more formal and masculine. Wearing it tonight for a birthday dinner; although versatile, it performs well at night, especially in enclosed spaces or with air conditioning. Price-quality-novelty are all very good; compared to other Eternities it’s more robust, rounded and long-lasting. Recommended to try.
I went with high expectations. It’s very spicy at first, paprika and hot. I didn’t smell the pineapple, but I did detect the leather and spices. I found it very good dry, but after 30 minutes it smells like an old, strong perfume, like those from grandfathers. I expected something newer. It seems like a reinterpreted classic. It’s not ugly; it’s lovely if you like retro perfumes or nostalgia. Ideal for gifting, it doesn’t offend anyone. For those seeking the sweetness of pineapple, don’t look here; it’s very faint. Perfect for evening in any season. Good trail and longevity of 8.9 (still on my clothes yesterday and today).
I went in with high expectations. The opening is very spiced, a bit peppery and sharp. I didn’t detect the pineapple, but I did smell the leather and spices. It seemed excellent in the bottle, but after 30 minutes it smells like an old-fashioned perfume, strong and dated, like the classics from grandfathers’ days. I expected something more modern or different. It feels like a retro fragrance updated for today, yet it isn’t ugly or bad; it’s lovely if you enjoy nostalgic scents. Ideal as a gift because it doesn’t offend anyone, although if you’re seeking the sweetness of pineapple, don’t bother as it’s not here. Faint. Perfect for any season in the evening. Good sillage and longevity of 8.9 (I tried it yesterday and it’s still on my clothes today).
I believe it’s a limited edition flanker, no longer sold in stores. It’s a fun toilette with a sparkling opening of pineapple and rosemary. It doesn’t perform much, but it’s more of a night scent. Decidedly, Calvin Klein is betting on their new Eternity EDP. We’ll enjoy this half-bottle.
Fate led me to find the last bottle at Prieto, Nuevo Centro, Valencia.
Suitable for day and night, in cold or heat, depending on the trigger… A juicy, pleasant pineapple, with longevity and potency that don’t lack… the typical flanker that surpasses the original (in my opinion).
Suitable for day and night, in cold or heat, depending on the moment. A pleasant juicy pineapple with good longevity and potency. It’s that flanker that surpasses the original.
I’ve used CK Eternity since the 90s, and this flanker is very different, with its own DNA. Strong notes of amber and pineapple. The scent is linear, slightly bitter and fruity, sweet at the start but not cloying. Moderate to low trail and acceptable longevity.
At first it smells of green pineapple, nothing sweet, then spices. I don’t detect leather. Longevity and projection are low, typical of Calvin Klein, though the scent is pleasant.
Yesterday and today it’s my fragrance. I’m surprised they say it doesn’t last; at seven hours it was still projecting, and my partner said it’s the most seductive of all. The next day the clothes smell perfect, as if just worn.
There isn’t a day that someone doesn’t tell me ‘what a lovely scent’. Others smell old spices or age, missing the pineapple, but to me it’s juicy pineapple with amber and rosemary. Excellent longevity and impressive projection. This flanker should stay forever.
It smells rich and sparkling on first spray, very original. It suits any time of day perfectly. The longevity is moderate and the sillage is short; you don’t catch it easily. Similar to Stronger With You: 8/10 longevity, 8/10 sillage, 4/10 projection, 9/10 versatility. Overall: 7.5/10.
Rich and sparkling aroma upon application, original and suitable for any time of day. Longevity is moderate, the trail is short and hard to catch. Similar to Stronger With You. Note: 8/10 longevity, 4/10 projection, 9/10 versatility. Overall 7.5/10.
Smells fantastic if applied three times, but becomes irritating afterwards. Ideal for those who love sweet scents.
In my opinion, too much hype, not what I expected. The best thing is the price. 🤷🏻♂️
Excellent for those cold summer and autumn evenings, rich pineapple scent, the leather is subtle but present for at least 8 hours. It’s a limited edition; I recommend buying it before they take it off and resale prices go up.
Excellent for those cold summer and autumn afternoons, with a delicious pineapple aroma. The leather is subtle but feels present for at least 8 hours. It’s a limited edition; I recommend buying it before it’s discontinued and resale prices rise.
I bought it blind at an excellent price and I have no complaints. I don’t perceive the famous pineapple, truly it doesn’t have it. Yes, lots of amber, leather and a semi-mentholated tone (from the lavender) and a bit sweet. It has the DNA of Versace Eros or Parfums de Marly Layton. It doesn’t blow my mind but I don’t hate it either. I’d say it tries to approach recent trendy fragrances, but with inferior quality and potency. Longevity is acceptable for a CK (5-6 hours), a house with a bad reputation for fragrances that last 15 minutes. 6 out of 10.
I like it; the first Calvin Klein perfume worthy of a review. I feel the current ones are very watery, like chemist shop stuff at 5 euros. I don’t usually like CKs because they’re very light and simple. Prominent notes: pineapple and amber. Linear scent throughout. It’s fruity, sweet, ambered, an all-rounder usable in any season. Moderate/low trail and acceptable longevity. Good launch. I wouldn’t buy the bottle as it’s not my style, but I recognise it’s a good fragrance.
The Flame, the eternal flame. My favourite of the classic CK Eternity, the 1990 EDT by Carlos Benaim, with that crass neo-fougère herbal scent we never liked (nor the stale old-man smell they sold on TV), nor did it convince me of almost any of the three hundred Eternities they released afterwards, all seasonal flankers, some rather dull. Ambered, charming, it retains only 20% of the classic Eternity EDT base, with a pineapple opening and lots of amber bringing it closer to Armani’s Stronger, with less sweetness, giving it a bit of a rough edge (no nonsense), seductive, elegant and nocturnal. It works well for me (it’s not a bomb and doesn’t want to be one), lasting 6-7 hours, and the best thing is it’s a good price, max 35-45 euros for 100ml (don’t pay more, not even joking). As always, they take away good fragrances and leave us with mediocrity or outdated ones, often reformulated down. I think today, 2024, it’s discontinued and it will be hard to get a bottle. All in all, if you see it and you love amber scents for men, don’t think twice.
Pleasant perfume, autumnal and winterly, rich and warm, easy to enjoy. I recommend it.
Ambered rosemary, very nice to my taste. Like other Eternities, it doesn’t stand out for longevity, but if you apply a lot (around fifteen sprays) it performs much better. Anyway, the Eternity range offers excellent value for money. If you get the chance, try it. I’m still exploring other flankers of ‘Eternity’.
Sweet fragrance but not cloying; I find it fresh and rich, ideal for everyday wear. It’s the best in the Eternity line, highly recommended and a buy without hesitation.
Pineapple? It doesn’t exist. Leather? Haha. I put it away for six months and used it again. It’s amber with a sweet touch; projects strongly at first but doesn’t last long, about four hours like Eternity.
Pineapple? It doesn’t exist. Leather? Haha. I’ve kept it for over six months and used it again. This is a slightly sweet amber; it projects heavily for the first hour but doesn’t last long, at best four hours, in the style of Eternity.
Beautiful scent, a blend of amber, leather and sweetness; very warm and versatile for day or night, whether for events or casual outings. What a pity they’ve taken it off the shelves.
