I got caught in a glitch! Chrome froze and didn’t save the review I was just finishing, so here it goes again. I tried it once in a freeshop and it stuck in my mind that it smelled different from the current versions. The other editions didn’t grab my attention, but this one did. Now, with a tester, I can confirm: this fragrance doesn’t follow trends. The opening is a green-herbal, sweet, rounded air, with soft medicinal touches and fresh sparkles, without any open fruits. A successful opening! It reminds me a bit of Yves Saint Laurent Nu. Five minutes later, it shifts to a sweet, solar, earthy/creamy accord, in the style of Dior Dune. I don’t feel so much herbal anymore, but it’s never floral. It has a ‘masculine’ vibe due to a menthol note, but the ‘Dune-like’ accord, the poultice effect against body heat, and the soft rounded sweetness put it right in the middle of masc/fem. At the end, I sense a note reminiscent of the dry-down of CK Be (perhaps musks?), which I like more than the One. The Rosarino heat (31 degrees at night) destroys its projection and longevity: it lasts 5-6 hours with force, projecting well at the start. In winter, it would surely last longer and feel more herbal. All in all, I loved it! I’m happy to have followed the intuition of my memory. If you enjoy Chanel 19 EDP, Cabochard, Aramis, Nu, Magia da Floresta/Amazonia, or Yuqawan, you could be a happy user of Calvin Klein Obsessed Intense Woman.
Trying it cold improves the longevity and I perceive it as sweeter than I remembered. I recall how much I enjoy smelling it in all its rarity. It is definitely one of the rarest, strangest, and most extravagant perfumes I own; next to this, the Nu is very harmonious and balanced. In contrast, Obsessed Intense is a scent that resists being labelled a ‘perfume’. In summer, my partner said it smelled like a mechanic’s workshop and I agree: it has something of that, but with a sweet base and less dusty than usual. I’d like to see how it sits on another skin… And despite everything, it captivates me; I like to turn my arm and smell it again.
First time I tried this little fragrance, Obsessed Women Intense. Reading the notes, I thought: ‘I might like this!’. But the combination turns against me, offering a strange scent – nothing unpleasant, yet olfactorily unfamiliar. What comes across is a musk accompanied by notes that rarely blend, such as woods and citrus; the result is a slightly synthetic aromatic musk, more feminine but definitely unisex. The good thing is the persistence and longevity, something common in the Intense line from Obsessed that encouraged me to buy it after the OMI.
