I bought this fragrance a few days ago and I must say I have liked it. It follows the line of other scents from the house, such as Diesel’s Plus Plus Masculine, but this one is much more delicate and nothing intrusive (unlike the previous one). If for Plus Plus I said that Seduction in Black by Antonio Banderas is almost a copy, I must affirm that this one is also ‘sistered’. The strawberry is noticeable in the notes, and the others listed by the manufacturer are very present. It has a hint of aniseed (which is not declared). It is a youthful fragrance, that is clear, but every perfume lover should have a small bottle, as a tribute to our noses. The bottle and the denim detail are to be appreciated. I recommend it.
This ‘Denim’ flanker is, for me, less interesting than the original ‘Fuel for Life’ (the one with the camel denim box). Here, the citrus notes are hardly felt; it isn’t gourmand or anything particularly striking. To my nose, it is basically lavender and woods. It smells good, wears well, and would never clash. It is not intrusive. Although it clings a bit to the skin, it is noticeable. It sounds much more ‘masculine’ than the other one I mentioned. As the packaging states, it is ideal with jeans and t-shirts or light shirts… to match its light, relaxed, and informal character. It could serve for daytime outdoor activities.
Fuel for Life Denim smells good; I perceive it as woody and aromatic. The citrus notes are barely noticeable at first, then it settles into a very masculine scent with lavender, woods, and that raspberry mentioned on Fragrantica. It doesn’t smell natural, but it is pleasant. Although they categorise it as youthful, I believe that because it is an easy-going fragrance, people of all ages will enjoy it. I’ve read that the original Fuel For Life is better, so I look forward to trying it to see if that’s true, because this version isn’t bad at all. Denim is versatile and its longevity and projection are decent.
