Diesel Loverdose Tattoo is an oriental floral fragrance for women. Launched in 2013, this composition was created by Anne Flipo and Pascal Gaurin. The top notes reveal cassia, bergamot and mandarin; the heart unfolds with sambac jasmine, rose and orange blossom; while the base notes complete the olfactive pyramid with milk, rice, vanilla and tonka bean.

This perfume is wonderful; without a doubt, the best feminine scent from Diesel. I fell in love with it the first time I smelled it. Perfect for those nights when you feel sexy and want to seduce.
It’s a very feminine perfume. It’s not among my favourites, but I reach for it whenever I need to make a good impression.
It is a very feminine perfume, not one of my favourites, but I use it whenever I need to make a good impression.
The scent is absolutely delicious, but on my skin it doesn’t last at all.
I went absolutely mad for these hearts; I started with the Red Kiss, then spotted this on sale and simply couldn’t resist. Seeing the black heart, I thought it would be a night scent, but I was wrong—it’s quite soft and perfect for daytime. I do detect a touch of baby powder, which I adore, and although it doesn’t contain anise, it smells like sweet anise, very delicious. Unlike the Red Kiss, which is more femme fatale, this is more romantic, thanks to the rose. Very well done, Diesel; you’ve surprised me with your fragrances.
I went absolutely mad for these hearts; I started with the Red Kiss, then spotted this on sale one day and simply couldn’t resist. Seeing the black heart made me think it would be for evening wear, but I was wrong—it’s quite soft and perfect for daytime. I detect a powdery touch that I adore, and although it doesn’t list anise, it smells like anise candy, which is delicious. Unlike the Red Kiss, which feels more femme fatale, this is far more romantic, thanks to the rose. Very well done, Diesel; you’ve really surprised me with your fragrances.
A pleasant surprise. I expected a wild, tempting aroma like Paco Rabanne’s Black XS, but it was nothing like it. It opens with sparkling mandarin and blackcurrant, which in no time give way to soft, powdery white flowers of jasmine and gardenia, with delicate touches of violet and rose. I also detect a subtle anise note. The base appears quickly with rice, tonka bean, vanilla, and a hint of woods and almonds. It is a dense, milky, powdery, and very creamy fragrance, sweet and cosy. Clean, tender, and with childish reminiscences, it evokes baby powder with a Nivea scent, the sweet image of a mother breastfeeding her baby. The projection stays close to the skin soon, and the longevity is about four hours. It is a soft, youthful fragrance for intimate, romantic nights, very feminine. It distils innocence and sensuality. I like it more than Kenzo Amour because the latter has too much rice, and more than Teint de Neige due to the bitter note I perceive in it. It is contradictory in advertising and packaging: from a tattoo one expects something permanent, whereas this would be more like henna. If it were an object, it would be a white blanket with sweet angels. I do not understand this black diamond shaped like a heart pierced by a dagger, a heavy metal object containing so much sweetness, unless it were a ballad. There is not a shred of hardness in this fragrance. Loverdose Tattoo would become one of my favourites if it had more power and longevity, because to smell, it smells like angels.
A pleasant surprise I took home, believing it would be a wild and tempting aroma in the style of Paco Rabanne’s Black XS. Nothing like that! A sparkling opening of mandarin and blackcurrant gives way in a jiffy to soft, powdery white flowers of jasmine and gardenia, with delicate touches of violet and rose. I also perceive a subtle anise note. Its base appears very early with notes of rice, tonka bean, and vanilla, with a hint of woods and almonds. Needless to say, we find ourselves with a dense, milky, powdery, and very creamy fragrance. Very sweet and cosy. Clean, tender, and with childish reminiscences; it evokes talcum powder with a Nivea scent, the sweet image of a mother breastfeeding her baby. Its projection soon drops to skin-level, and the longevity on me is about four hours. A soft, youthful fragrance, for evening, for intimate moments, romantic and very feminine. It distils innocence and sensuality through every pore. I like it more than Kenzo Amour because the latter has an excessive rice note, and more than Teint de Neige due to that bitter note I perceive in it. A contradictory fragrance in its advertising and packaging. From a tattoo, one expects something permanent; this would be henna. If it were an object, it would be a white blanket with sweet angels painted on it. I don’t understand this black diamond heart shape pierced by a dagger. A heavy metal object containing such richness of aroma. Unless it were a ballad. There isn’t a shred of hardness in this fragrance… Loverdose Tattoo would become one of my favourites if it only had a bit more potency and longevity, because to smell, it smells like angels…
I had so many expectations for this perfume that I was enormously disappointed when I tried it. Yes, I’ll start with that. Loverdose, the violet heart, was a delight when I first tested it. I thought this one should be equal to or better. It had tonka, milk, and vanilla. That was enough for me to dare to buy it blind, but it was lucky I stopped to test it on my skin first. I remember my first Fantasy was Circus Fantasy. The lady gave it to me in a bag that smelled of burnt plastic perfume. An aroma that penetrated deep into my bowels and caused me a huge headache for HOURS. Well, the first spray of Loverdose Tattoo smelled exactly the same on my skin. Sweet but spiced, powdery. The damn combination of cassis, orange blossom, and lemon was the worst thing that could have happened to me. There was barely a trace of the soft vanilla rose trying to emerge but failing. I gave up, oh disappointment. I avoided smelling my hand until the headache passed. Afterwards, I wanted to give it another chance. It had dried completely! Surprise! Now there was a delicious vanilla latte with honey aroma emanating from my hand, with the rose as a bed for that scent. I fell in love and ran back to buy it. Hahaha. Unfortunately, it has that horrible evolution on my skin. But for the scent that remains at the end… it’s absolutely worth it. At least for me 🙂 ♡ Scent: 8/10 ♡ Sillage: 8/10 ♡ Longevity: 10/10
Please, before reading this review, know that everything I say is my personal experience and opinion, and I don’t intend to offend anyone; if you like it or want to try it, go ahead with it :). Diesel Loverdose Tattoo was a gift. Upon opening the box and seeing that black diamond heart made of crystal with a dagger, I fell in love at first sight; the bottle is undeniably beautiful. The disappointment came when I tried it; the moment I applied it to my wrist, it felt like a punch to the nose. It was a strange, overpowering smell, like rice pudding made with sour milk. I was disgusted and after ten minutes, I started feeling nauseous (I was shocked; it was the first time this happened to me with a fragrance). In the end, I decided to wait a couple of minutes to see if the scent changed, hoping to discover something new… It is true that it changes; it started to give way to a super talcum-powdered milk scent and a smell reminiscent of rice powder, which wasn’t pleasant to me. Although it is true that the initial dizzying punch calmed down and wasn’t as strong, every time I approached my wrist again and smelled it, I got that dizziness/nausea sensation again. I tried it two more times in the end, but I finally gave it away as a gift. I don’t know what’s wrong with me regarding this perfume; my nose simply cannot tolerate it. I don’t recommend buying it without trying it first, and if you like soft perfumes, this one might not be for you. It didn’t quite convince me, and I prefer the original Loverdose with the red heart and violet.

I adore this perfume. Just minutes after spraying it, that note of milk, wheat, and vanilla emerges, giving the impression of a dessert. It’s one of those scents where the top notes have nothing to do with the dry-down; it’s completely different, and the transformation is wonderful. It’s a shame they’ve discontinued it.

Absolutely delicious, winter-appropriate, warm, and sweet. It’s like vanilla milk with spices. It’s mouth-watering; it’s one of those perfumes that makes you want to eat something nice, like a little cake with vanilla milk on a cold day. Simply delightful; I loved it.
Super delicious, winter-appropriate, warm, sweet; it’s like vanilla milk with spices. Absolutely delightful; it’s one of those perfumes that makes you crave something rich, like a little cake with vanilla milk on a cold day. Simply divine; I loved it.
I’ve just picked up a bottle of Loverdose Tattoo EAU de Parfum, 75ml, from a shop on the corner of my apartment; it was the last one left and at a super bargain price… plus, I bought it blind 😂 the extreme sport of collectors. But I absolutely have no regrets; what a delight!!!! The opening is fresh, but within a minute I start to perceive that declared milky note, which reminded me slightly of the opening of Pure XS for her, along with a vanilla that is by no means overpowering and a sensation of warm sweet rice. I don’t know if there’s another batch, but this one is from 2013, the year of its launch, and the truth is I already consider it a gem in my collection (being discontinued and because I loved the aroma) 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
I’m so excited to wait for it to arrive; it’s a blind buy, and the notes really catch my eye. I can’t wait for it to come!!! 🖤
For the first twenty minutes or so, it didn’t grab my attention; it felt nice but nothing life-changing. After an hour (almost two), the scent remains intact, I notice it with every movement, and it lifts my mood. I think it has a cheerful spark. That said, I don’t detect any milk whatsoever, but it is definitely gourmand ♡
It smells fantastic and yes, it’s in the same style as Black Opium, but they are worlds apart. I absolutely adore its milky accord and the subtle sweetness. The only drawback is its poor performance; it’s minimal and skin-scented, so you have to press your nose against it to detect it. I would love to find the same profile but with better longevity.
I’ve had this for years and there’s barely a drop left. I asked my boyfriend to rate it and he gave it a 5 😭 It broke my heart because I used to love it so much. He said it smells like lychee and cleaning products, and that he prefers yesterday’s scent (Good Girl) 😭😭😭 Is it because it’s been open for years and lost its properties, or was it always like this? How terrible 🥲
