A blind buy and a very shrewd one. Fragrantica says it resembles Dunhill Desire, I haven’t tried it to confirm, but it’s a great option for rotation. Longevity and sillage are very good, above average.

  • Very good fragrance, it lasts all day and even into the next. Excellent projection and an impressive trail. Smells like a high-end product, the quality is noticeable, a classic but not overused scent, very elegant. An excellent purchase.

  • I love it, it lasts and projects a lot, especially given the cost. It’s not for those who don’t like the One Million line, as although the notes differ, there is an undeniable resemblance, especially to Cologne, but with much better longevity. Very good purchase, I give it an 8/10.

The best blind buy I’ve ever made; it exceeded all expectations. Phenomenal longevity, elegant, and not overpowering like One Million. It’s a mutation between both and Dunhill Desire. One application and you’re talking about perfumes in another category; they cared about the details. The vanilla and apple opening followed by the enveloping wood is brilliant. Note for those in the know: it’s available in Chile.

  • I like it very much, it lasts and projects quite well, especially given the cost. It’s not for those who don’t like the One Million line, as although the notes differ, there is an undeniable resemblance, especially to Cologne, but with much better longevity. Very good purchase, I give it an 8/10.

  • From the first spray, a delicious scent that, while slightly flat, remains delightful. Formal and very good, an excellent purchase; at this price, it’s an absolute gem.

  • From the first spray, a delicious aroma that, although it stays a bit flat, continues to delight. Delicious and very formal, a purchase that becomes a gem when considering the price.

A true find: lasts quite a while, has a huge trail, and the price is a gift. It has three citrus notes that don’t stand out, but the teak does, especially; it smells like that metallic paper from cigarette packs, a delicious mix of tobacco and metal. It’s very similar to Dunhill Desire, but I prefer it because its wood is softer and less cloying. I recommend it highly: it smells good, lasts well, good trail, and the price is unbeatable.

  • It’s fantastic, smells super good, and is very economical. However, it smells sophisticated. Perfect for a sport coat on an informal outing.

An incredible find: lasts all day, projects massively, and the price is ridiculous. It has citrus notes, but what truly dominates is the teak; it smells like that metallic paper from cigarette packs mixed with metal, and it’s delicious. It’s very similar to Dunhill Desire, but I prefer it because its wood is softer and less cloying. Highly recommended for its performance and scent.

  • Jaguar Classic Gold is sparkling, youthful, economical, and does more than enough. I loved it because it reminds me of my go-to, Dunhill Desire. The opening is fruitier and seems more potent, but soon it settles into a pleasant and personal aura. Almost linear scent: sweet, fresh, and acidic apple over subtle vanilla and wood with floral touches. An all-rounder oriental for any occasion without spending much. Some say it lasts longer than Dunhill, but I, who have used it for 18 years, don’t notice that difference; at first it seems more intense due to the fruit, but moderates in minutes. Lasts about 6 hours with moderate sillage, which is brilliant for its price. It’s an all-rounder that saves you when you don’t know what to wear; suits any time of day. Economical and highly recommended, it now shares my throne with Dunhill.

  • Jaguar Classic Gold is sparkling, youthful, economical, and very fulfilling. I loved it, especially because it resembles my go-to fragrance, Alfred Dunhill Desire. The opening is fruitier than Dunhill’s, and due to this apparent fruit load, it seems more potent, but only at the start. Then it settles quickly and, like Dunhill’s, remains as a pleasant, personal aura. Almost linear scent: a lovely sweet, fresh, and citrus-acidulated apple over a subtly woody vanilla base with slight floral nuances. A beautiful all-terrain oriental to use on demand without weighing on the wallet. They say it outperforms Dunhill, but I, who have worn Dunhill for over 18 years, don’t believe it. At first, it seems more potent due to the fruit, but within minutes it settles and becomes moderate. Like its brother, it lasts about 6 hours with a moderate trail, which isn’t bad at all considering its ridiculous price. It’s an all-rounder, suitable for any time or occasion, ideal for getting out of a bind when you don’t know what to wear. Feels good at any hour, situation, or season. Economical and highly recommended; from today it shares my go-to throne with Dunhill’s masterpiece.

  • Just got it. My goodness, it’s a delight. Sweet, sweet. It seems they made it when they were very happy and poured too much joy into it. Not cloying; on the contrary, you want to keep smelling it because it’s very pleasant and relaxing. It’s seductive and very flirtatious. A real charmer. I was surprised; I expected nothing from Jaguar and it silenced my doubts. Mind you, perhaps it’s not the eighth wonder, but it easily competes with Nautica and Zara, leaving them behind. Longevity: 8 hours on my skin. Projection: 3-4 hours. Not bad. Scent rating: 8.8 out of 10. Very tasty. They may say it feels synthetic, but it’s a very well-made synthetic. Super accessible price.

  • I was hugely surprised. It must be the most surreal fragrance for value and versatility I’ve tried. Suitable for everything, any season, with any clothing even the most elegant. A true all-rounder at a laughable price. Smells high-quality, pleases all the girls, and its projection lasts a long time without being annoying. A must-buy. Worth €14 as if it were €50. Three sprays on each side of the neck and a smile guaranteed.

  • javierglez

Just received it; too sweet and generic, though it improves in the dry-down. I see it for winter, evening wear, or with a touch of grooming. For over 30s. Good price (€12). Not my cup of tea. 5/10.

  • Isco fragances

Sweet to the point of annoyance, cloying to death. Only negative comments around me. Perhaps it’s not bad, but it’s too synthetic and nothing youthful. Pity I bought it blindly; otherwise, I wouldn’t have touched it. Smells very unpleasant to the nose. I don’t know what they find delicious about it. Similar to One Million? What a joke.

I bought it looking for something similar to Dunhill Desire but without the baby powder scent. It doesn’t smell like baby powder, nor does it have that rose and syrup I used to love. They share almost all the notes, and in the dry-down Jaguar Gold resembles it, especially if you don’t have them to compare. However, they start differently: here the apple and bergamot stand out, whereas in Dunhill the apple mixes with rose and musk. To me, it reminds me of Dunhill Desire but is quite distinct. Jaguar Gold is golden yellow, Dunhill is red; that’s already a clue. Two points in its favour: made by Lalique and priced under €20. It’s astonishing because it uses very few ingredients; even prestigious brands are more chemical. Moderate longevity (6-8h), strong projection for the first hour. Suitable for all seasons, day or night if not overworn. To summarise: it has that Dunhill touch in the dry-down, but that’s where it ends. Smells very good, versatile, and has excellent value for money. PS: some women might like it.

Beware of cheap fragrances, especially Jaguar. Between €0 and €30 there are gems that surprise you. The low price makes creators pull out all the stops to produce something standout. It delivers and isn’t bad at all. Ideal for winter, not overly complex but shines like its golden bottle and lasts incredibly for its category. Pleasant yet penetrating sweetness at first, with a powdery bergamot that lingers in the air. An aromatic proposal hinting at apple and citrus, followed by plenty of wood and vanilla. Very sweet and tasty, it puts a smile on your face. A carefree synthetic bomb with great durability. Don’t judge solely by the price. Thanks to Monsieurleather.

  • LazaroFragances

Totally unisex, sweet with artificial touches but of good quality. Not super citrusy; rather aromatic with a smoky, woody base. The sweetness in the dry-down is what stands out most. Longevity and trail are good for the price. I wouldn’t recommend it blindly. Not my top pick, but I understand others might like it. Final note: 6.

  • BassoProfumo

Niche tester that leaves you speechless: smells synthetic but brilliant, with a powerful trail lasting hours. Warning: over-applying gives you a headache. I agree with @jerry drake: it smells exactly like Dunhill Desire.

  • typpeorange835

Very good fragrance, I was surprised by its longevity and scent: very rich, slightly fresh but with that noticeable sweetness. Note, it’s not gourmand. The best part is that whoever smells it on you will ask what you’re wearing; it doesn’t displease anyone. And considering it comes very cheap, it cost me £12, a real bargain. The apple sits alongside the citrus that give freshness, and in the base, vanilla, patchouli, and musk that give sweetness. It’s very well worked and balanced, I see it as unisex; a woman can wear it without any issues.

  • Deliciously rich and super soft. It’s a well-crafted and balanced fragrance: fresh, clean, and sweet. The fruit and vanilla are so integrated that you get the best of both worlds. Don’t expect something super sweet or potent; it’s pure balance but with a distinct structure. Note, it’s super soft, it doesn’t stand out, it’s for the office or a romantic close-range outing, projecting no more than 30 cm. The sweet notes give sensuality, the musk provides cleanliness, elegance, and sophistication. Impossible not to think of a romantic night in a black shirt or as the neat, seductive boss in the office. If you like soft, discreet, and seductive scents, there is no better option.

  • Finally, a fragrance where all the notes are distinct! Patchouli similar to A*Men dominates, with teak and apple. It’s clean and sober, I like it. Some say it’s synthetic, I disagree, I don’t feel it that way; perhaps the patchouli gives that sensation. Good longevity of 6-8 hours and moderate projection. Ideal for dates due to the vanilla base, although it’s versatile.

  • Luis100047908

Very sweet and cloying, it smells like cheap synthetic perfume. A blind buy gone wrong, I do not recommend it.

Very sweet and cloying, it smells like cheap, synthetic perfume. A failed blind buy, I would not recommend it…

  • FedericoAlexisB

I just bought and tried it. My first impression is that it resembles Polo Red: very sweet, I detect vanilla, apple, patchouli, and wood (even though the official notes aren’t those, they are similar). It’s for cold climates; otherwise, it can be cloying.

  • Its scent marks bergamot and vanilla, with a noticeable woody touch. I recommend it for warm or cold climates, but be careful: in the heat, it becomes quite cloying.

  • Jaguar Classic Gold embodies timeless elegance. Upon spraying, citrus and green apple give a fresh, lively opening that grabs attention. The middle notes of cardamom and jasmine add spice and floral tones, elevating the complexity and balancing freshness with sophistication. The base of sandalwood, cedar, and vanilla provides a warm, woody foundation, long-lasting yet soft, without being cloying. The clean, gold bottle reflects discreet luxury. In short, it’s perfect for those seeking effortless sophistication; versatile for any occasion and leaves a lasting impression of class.

Sometimes we stumble upon a fragrance that isn’t just perfume, it’s a statement of principle, like wearing daring socks with a grey suit to challenge monotony. Jaguar Classic Gold is exactly that: a nod to your individuality. It smells like a caress of apple and citrus for mental agility against the jungle of emails. Then it evolves with elegance, unfolding woods and orange blossom, like an executive playing their own cards. It’s pure personal branding: compliments pass, but you remain. And the best part, the price: around £12-£14. The trick is to read reviews, have the courage to try it, and enjoy that discreet magic. Good luck, gentlemen!

The casual reader will find technical data later; this is my experience. Sometimes you come across a scent that is a statement of principles, like bold socks with a grey suit to break the monotony of Monday. Jaguar Classic Gold is a wink to your individuality. What is perceived? A caress of apple and citrus with the mental agility to navigate the jungle of emails. How does it evolve? With unexpected elegance, it unfolds woods and orange blossom, like an executive playing their own cards. Is it branding or compliments? It’s personal branding exercise; compliments pass, but you remain. The trick? Read reviews on Fragrantica, get interested in the subtle, and have the courage. It’s the perfect companion to be remembered for your presence, not just your words. It keeps that discreet magic. Good luck gentlemen! Around 12-14 euros (March 2024).

  • Pueblerino

Good heavens, it smells like grandma who splashed on the cheapest supermarket cologne and forgot to wash it off; the scent lingers for five days. I’d rather smell like an old lady than this. Don’t be fooled, it’s cloyingly sweet and unbearable… nothing like Nikos Sculpture.

  • Pueblerino

Good heavens, it smells like a granny who splashed on the cheapest supermarket cologne and wiped it all over herself; the scent lingers for five days without fading. It smells more like an old lady than this. Don’t be fooled, it’s a strong, unbearable sweetness… it’s nowhere near like Nikos Sculpture.

  • At first, the spray hit me with an overpowering sweetness that I didn’t like at all, and I thought @Pueblerino was right. But the next day, what a change! It smells balanced and rich now. You can detect apple, vanilla, and orange blossom; the top citrus notes blend into that sweetness but still give a fresh sensation. I love it, ideal for cool days, day or night.
