Reminds me of Mandarin Sky, and even the dry-down smells just like the new Scandal.
I tried it in-store. It smells 95% identical to what I own. As someone below mentioned, it’s not like the Absolu but rather the original; however, the dry-down is almost identical.
I have tried Scandal Absolu in retail. I have this one and it smells 95% similar. Although as a comment below said, in the opening it does not resemble Scandal Absolu but the regular Scandal, in the dry down it is very similar, almost indistinguishable.
Excellent perfume, quality and scent. I give it 100/10.
Top-tier perfume, ten out of ten for quality and scent. Giving it 100/10.
Quick summary: it’s a more mature Mandarin Sky/Scandal EDT. The rest: it lasts well, leaves a trail, the bottle is top-notch, and the price is right.
Please excuse if my opinion offends or confuses you, but for me this fragrance recalls 25% Honro & Glory, 25% Khamrah, a bit of Kay Lai’s Yum Gelato Pistachio, and a dark touch of some Dior. I do not know, but its aroma brings various perfumes to mind in a subtle way. It makes you think.
A short and simple review would be: A Mandarin Sky / Scandal EDT with a touch of alcohol, more adult. The rest: good longevity, good sillage, great packaging, and a decent price.
I do not have the luck of knowing Scandal Absolu, but it does resemble Mandarin Sky in the opening. In the dry down, it gives me the sensation of a super creamy and pleasant perfume, alongside its fruits and sweetness. It has great longevity, lasting over 8 hours, with very good quality.
Smells very rich; the opening is very fruity, just like the regular Scandal. Then it transforms into something fruity, creamy, with that hazelnut touch and a bit of gourmand. The truth is, it smells very rich, but its longevity is disappointing.
Delicious aroma. Very sweet. It is very similar to Mandarin Sky. If you already own it, I would not recommend buying the Armaf King. Although superior quality is noticeable, the notes could feel identical unless you analyse it with meticulous care. And it certainly has power, easily lasting 8 hours on clothes. On skin, only if you press your nose close. Definitely unisex and perfect for autumn and winter.
Absolute beast of a fragrance. The opening and dry-down are incredible and it doesn’t smell burnt. It’s super sweet and attractive, with excellent longevity, sillage, and projection, yet it’s not a beast mode. I recommend it 100%.
Terrible perfume. Both the opening and dry down are incredible. Furthermore, it is not overhyped at all. It smells super sweet and very attractive. The longevity, sillage, and projection are excellent; it is not a beast mode. I recommend it 100%.
It smells like Mandarin Sky at first, but then the party begins and Scandal Absolu emerges. I own both and cannot find any difference; excellent work by Armaf.
I’m certain this perfume puts Mandarin Sky in its place. If you like that, this is the next step: the opening is similar, but over time the amber and gourmand notes take over, with a dry-down very close to Scandal Absolu. If Mandarin Sky is for those under 20, this is for those who want that DNA but with more maturity, less bright and brash, denser and more polished. Performance is equal to or better than Odyssey. The chess-piece bottle convinced me and I wasn’t wrong; it’s an Armaf gem that deserves more recognition, and I appreciate that it doesn’t smell so burnt.
Without a doubt, this perfume puts Mandarin Sky in check. If you like that, this is the next step: they are identical at first, but over time the vanilla and gourmand notes gain strength, drying down very similarly to Scandal Absolu. While Mandarin Sky is for those under 20, this is for those seeking the same DNA but with more maturity; it feels less brash and more dense and polished. It has similar or better performance than Odyssey. The chess-themed bottle convinced me and I was not wrong; it is an Armaf gem that deserves more fame and is not as overhyped as others.
