A great option to enjoy a version almost identical to Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver EDP, except for the opening with an artificial lemon caramel note that doesn’t quite fit and lasts 3-6 minutes before settling and achieving an incredible resemblance. It is very elegant, discreet and exquisite at cologne prices! I tested the original in-store for months and hesitated due to its opening and moderate longevity, but its bitter dry-down put me off. I’ve tried many imitations and they all failed, except this one. You can’t ask for more: it projects less and lasts half as long, but I’d rather have this than a dull or tiresome scent. Highly recommended. Even if I buy the original, I’d still keep this for lighter occasions and the TF for events. Note August 2024: the transparent version is no longer available; it now comes in an enameled red bottle with a black cap (called EDP here), slightly reformulated, with less projection and freshness. I no longer enjoy it the same way.

This Just Jack Vetiver is 95% identical to Tom Ford’s Grey Vetiver, one of my best purchases: exquisite, powerful, long-lasting and with niche quality. I’ve tried several vetivers such as Guerlain, Tom Ford or Adolfo Domínguez, and this one delivers everything at a good price. Even the bottle is almost the same, heavy and quality, with a good spray and more soapy, earthy notes. Guerlain is more linear and basic, but this is another level, a twin to Tom Ford. If you like that style, buy it with your eyes closed; I’ll be buying it again before they discontinue it.
