When I was younger, I was quite ignorant. I used to believe that catalogue perfumes were poor quality and smelled cheap. The truth is, the only flaw was the immature perception I had during my teenage years. Now, at 24, I’ve rediscovered and reappreciated several scents I once criticised. I’ve given myself the chance to try others from brands sold through catalogues. Esika’s Legend has surprised me; I find greater quality in longevity, trail, and composition, far superior to many designer and so-called ‘prestigious’ houses. It’s very pleasant, smelling clean, woody, with a dominant camphoraceous and friendly cardamom note. I don’t think it’s suitable for ‘hunting’ (picking up partners), but it’s excellent for enjoying long chats with friends and family. Before I finish, I’d like to highlight the quality of the scent and the lovely design of the bottle. A very good fragrance.

“BECAUSE IT’S HERE! WHERE MY NAME WILL BE LEGENDARY”… Holy land!…….(I listen to this track while writing the review). YAAAAA, after several days I have my opinion… A fragrance that opens with citrusy aldehydes, starts soft, but like the phoenix, it rises again after a few seconds and hits your nose with great intensity. Very good; although cardamom dominates, it feels fresh with woody touches… spices? I’m not sure which ones they added as I sense a bit of amber sweetness, but it’s still very good in terms of scent, pleasant, extroverted, humble, simple, yet striking. It’s a fragrance for a friendly type… that’s how I feel. It’s somewhat similar to Eros minus the mint and vanilla, yet it takes a different path. Well, linear and all that, but!, with a four-hour projection force, the first hour is heavy, that’s true. Lasts about six to seven hours, but fragrances costing twice as much last only four hours, barely. In these times, a ‘catalogue’ or ‘magazine’ fragrance with that quality is a LEGEND. Timeless? Well, it depends on everyone, but I prefer warmer climates or days, days/evenings/nights (versatile), that depends on your sprays. I don’t find it yields excellently for rainy days or extreme cold; for winter, there are better options in my opinion. Age uffff, from 18 until wherever life takes us! It’s very comfortable to wear, and blind-bought, totally men! If you find it at a low cost, take it home, lml.
And walk with the wild fury of a victor pushing the heart to its breaking point today. For every drop of blood spilled in passion, time shall judge my worth. For this is where! where my name shall become legend!… Holy Land!
And to walk with the fury of the wild conqueror who pushes their heart to death today. For every drop of blood spilled with passion, time will judge my worth. For here is where my name shall become legend! Holy Land.
Excellent fragrance! Its longevity is brilliant with a very nice trail; it has great projection, and as soon as I finish the bottle, I order another.
Lovely fragrance, just finished and its herbal aroma is strong. It’s good, but I won’t be ordering another Tank It Up Next, hehe.
Good day. At first, it didn’t grab my attention much, quite common. Today I wore it and my impression was: it smells like Coach Platinum. To clarify, they don’t share the same notes, but they aim for the same finish. It starts with a citrus top that lasts only 15 or 20 minutes. From there, that sweetness emerges, perhaps due to the amber, very similar to Coach (this one doesn’t have it). In short… very linear; yes, it projects well for between 3 and 4 hours, then the aura closes in, and believe me: it lasts over 8 hours. For the price… highly recommended, I’d say it’s a very affordable Coach. In Colombia, it’s a full price of $136,000 and down to $60,000 on offer.
Hello, at first it didn’t impress me much; it seemed quite ordinary. But today I tried it and was blown away: it smells like Coach Platinum. Mind you, the notes aren’t identical; they might share one or two, but they head in the same direction. It opens with citrus lasting about 15 or 20 minutes, then that sweetness emerges, an amber-like quality very similar to Coach (though this one lacks it). From there it’s very linear, yet projects a lot for between three and four hours. Then the aura settles, and believe me, it lasts over eight hours. For the price, it’s highly recommended; I’d say it’s a very budget-friendly Coach. In Colombia it’s sold at $136,000 full price and as low as $60,000 on offer.
A dominant amber scent playing with the freshness of cardamom, yet it’s more an attempt at freshness than total freshness, as the spices set a limit. The sweetness of the amber can be a bit cloying. A decent fragrance for casual, laid-back moments, trying to please without being overwhelming; some noses will love it, others will kick the amber to the curb. It’s not a love-hate affair, simply lacking what’s needed to reach that level, not quite on par to enter that category. Not the type I’d go to great lengths to repurchase. Cheers.
A great surprise from Esika… a blend of citrus and spice with an aquatic twist not described on the bottle. At first, that aquatic note dominates, but by an hour later, the cardamom and woody elements take over, though the citrus remains present. In the dry down, the notes persist with less intensity. Nothing to envy from designer scents… ideal for a winter night, the beach, summer, cold nights, or warm days.
Frosted cardamom and amber, with a soft citrus opening that doesn’t sting. My friend wore it and it suited her perfectly; although it’s marketed for men, this proves perfumery is truly unisex.
Cold, cardamom-infused amber with citrus that doesn’t sting on the opening… A friend wore it and it looked incredible on her, even though it’s marketed for men, and here it’s clear that the fragrance is unisex.
A great surprise from Esika: a blend of citrus and spice with an aquatic touch not listed on the description. It stands out at the start, but by the hour the cardamom and wood take over, though the initial scents remain. As it dries down, everything endures but softer. It has nothing to envy from designer fragrances. Ideal for winter nights, the beach, or cold climates, and also suitable for daily wear in the heat.
My favourite; it’s one of the best fragrances I’ve tried.
I owned this Leyenda and the Mont Blanc Explorer, and people told me the Mont Blanc was one people had heard before, and I could see that too. Then I smelled Leyenda again and that same sharp scent is identical, but the price difference is abyssal.
I’m using it and I put it on at 2pm; it’s 6:46pm now and it still smells great… perfect for its price.
I don’t like sweet or vanilla fragrances, but this one is excellent; it’s just right, discreet, smells good, and lasts a long time. It’s pleasant for daily wear. My wife and I both like it; it’s hard for her to like perfumes, but she loves this one, even above more expensive ones like Black XS by Paco Rabanne or Fraiche by Versace. Excellent option for the price.
I don’t like it so much due to its sweetness, but I keep it for occasions. It’s good for going out during the day with something that isn’t fresh or aquatic. It’s very good.
I heard it three years ago and hated it. Now, with three years in the perfume world and a more mature nose, I smelled this again (which was nearly full). The opening doesn’t please me; it’s synthetic, but the dry-down is different, which I didn’t expect; I felt it was warm and the cardamomo is noticeable. For a catalogue fragrance, it’s well-structured; I was surprised. For its price, it’s a good purchase; truly surprised.
Excellent perfume. For the price, you can’t ask for more. It doesn’t surprise on first application; in fact, the first time I heard it, I didn’t like it, but once it dries, it changes completely and becomes much more pleasant.
I’ve been a user since 2016 (when it was called ‘Leyenda – Christian Meier’). It’s super masculine, woody, and citrusy, with a longevity few possess (literally smells on clothes after washing). In Costa Rica, it’s around $26, a reasonable price. I used to receive many compliments from girls aged 16 to 24, but now that I’m getting older, less so; perhaps it’s not ideal for conquests past 25. After trying designers like J.P. Gaultier or Armani, Leyenda falls far behind, so my taste has lowered and this will be the last bottle. The scent improves significantly after the first two hours. Give it a try if you’re looking for something masculine, long-lasting, and cheap that attracts attention, but not if you’ve already tried quality perfumes, because you’ll notice the huge difference and might hate it, as happened to me: from ‘my perfume of a lifetime’ to one I want to finish.
I picked this up years after my sister, PULSO, ran out. It doesn’t have the same impact, but it smells lovely. At first, it’s very sweet, but with time and more fragrances in my collection, it doesn’t seem so now. I’ve had this bottle for five years and it has evolved brilliantly. Nowadays it’s sweet without being cloying; it starts strong and then releases bursts. I apply between six and seven sprays and my wife loves it. I recommend it for that near-gift price (around $13 here), even if it cost up to $30. Longevity: 8 hours, projection: 2 to 3 hours, trail: 9/10, value: 10/10.
I have the Absolute version and it’s a bomb, though I’m dying to try the original Leyenda.
