  • I don’t know why, but on my skin it smells quite strange, something must be wrong with my pH regarding blue or aquatic fragrances. I had to give it to my dad because on me it becomes a disaster. My dad loved it; on him it smells normal, pleasant, clean and masculine.

  • The truth is I see a resemblance to Dior Sauvage, but personally I like this one much more; it smells fresh and clean. It’s recommended and easy, a flagship fragrance.

  • It’s like Sauvage but different, going down the same line. I like the opening compared to Sauvage; I understand it doesn’t suit everyone, but Carbon smells very good. In the dry-down I prefer the Dior for personal taste. Longevity and behaviour in extreme heat we’ll see, but for now I loved it. I saw it in a duty-free and it lasted quite a bit on skin with the tester. In my search for a Sauvage beast mode, this is the one I’ve liked most, although it doesn’t have such projection.

  • At first, the bergamot with the amber is the protagonist, similar to a Sauvage but not the same; they only resemble each other in the opening. After half an hour it changes to something more lavender-like and soapy, lasting an hour with medium projection. It’s a clean, soapy Sauvage. Scent 7, Originality 6, Quality 7, Longevity 7.

  • It was applied very sparingly. It has something of Sauvage EDT, but I sense something more different. It’s a modern masculine fragrance where patchouli and lavender predominate. Should I buy it? I wouldn’t.

I’m not sure if it’s the pH, but I perceive nothing but a soft plastic; it has no projection or longevity.

I love Prada and their iris masterpieces, but with this fragrance I was let down terribly. It is rich, yes, but I don’t think it’s up to the standard we’re used to. I feel Sauvage does better work in this type of scent (which isn’t my preference either).

  • No thank you. It’s ambroxan-lavender from start to finish. The warmth of the amber is modern and pleasant, but the overwhelming excess of lavender makes the whole thing collapse. The fragrance is high quality; Prada doesn’t do nonsense and uses good materials, with notable longevity and sillage, but the clean, soapy concept just isn’t for me. I wish they’d risked more with the metallic and charcoal notes that peek through, but not enough. Everyone to their own, a pleasure to meet you.

  • Disappointing enough; it’s a Sauvage attempt that ends up in no-man’s-land, with mediocre performance and adds nothing. Although Sauvage isn’t my favourite, I’d prefer it a thousand times over this cheap copy.

It smells strong, but seems more like a daily deodorant than anything else. There’s no point spending money when a deodorant smells the same, with the same intensity and longevity.

Imagine Sauvage clean, soapy, and exceptional in summer; that is this Italian jewel. In my case, it performs enormously, especially on hot days, where as a signature fragrance it is a success. I see it both casually and for more formal events, fundamentally for the morning. If you need a versatile and elegant fragrance, it is a safe bet. True regarding its similarity to the Dior one, but for me the improvement in elegance in the EDT version is notable. Highly recommended.

  • Personally, I do not like it. To my taste, it smells like anise soap and lavender shaving lotion. It is ideal for adults of 45 years. I would not recommend it if you are looking for something relevant. Its longevity and cost do not seem ideal to me. I suggest a trial before purchase.

Its iris and ambroxan notes give a sense of cleanliness, of just having had a shower. I love wearing it in the morning to go to the office and I have that freshness for 6-8 hours. I bought the 50ml version and it has performed well; I use three sprays and its trail and projection are quite good. Although I have worn it at night, I don’t enjoy it as much as during the day and afternoon. I have read many comparisons with Sauvage and, although they are similar at the opening, personally I find little resemblance after a couple of hours; they become very different fragrances.

  • The first time I smelled it in a shop, its opening seemed very similar to Dior Sauvage EDT 🤢, a fragrance I absolutely dislike. Afterwards, I saw a review by Pablo Perfumes where he recommended it as the best alternative, so I gave it a second chance. I went to Liverpool and tested it on skin: the opening does resemble Sauvage but not as strident, and after a few minutes it evolves giving a clean and elegant sensation. I decided to search for it online to see if I could find it cheaper. Bingo! I found an offer on Amazon I couldn’t resist 🥹. Now it is one of my favourites 😍. Longevity: 7-8 hours. Projection: 1.5 metres. Quality: 10/10. Aroma: 10/10.

  • When you have both, you realise they are not alike in any way. This perfume is more mature, making you feel like a handsome man, whereas Sauvage makes you feel attractive. I’m not sure if I’m explaining myself well. This fragrance is for someone in a crisp white shirt, well-groomed. It lasts a long time on clothes, until the next day. On skin, it’s good but doesn’t pass the five-hour mark. The ambroxan it projects is beautiful; it feels like high quality. Truly, it makes you feel clean and fresh. Irrelevant, but the trigger is horrendous: it releases a litre of juice with every atomisation all at once.

  • In my opinion, this Prada is different. That opening similar to Sauvage is confusing for the first few days; it seems like nothing special. But after weeks, I notice the great change: those aquatic and metallic notes are fundamental. I wish they dominated the entire life of the fragrance, but they don’t. The lavender starts to take over and you smell like clean soap. The fragrance is good and the longevity is not bad, around five hours on my skin (not beast mode), but it stays in a very pleasant personal bubble.

If anyone claims this doesn’t smell like Sauvage, they simply don’t understand: yes, they resemble each other, but they are not identical. This is cleaner and less metallic. And a word of warning: for those who said Acqua di Gio doesn’t resemble Invictus, try the Absolú; it does. To me, the Absolú feels more mature and woody, although they share that similarity.

  • Anyone who says this smells like Sauvage is like saying Acqua di Gio is Invictus just because they are both blue… This smells like soap with pure testosterone.

  • It smells incredible: fresh, clean, and with great presence. I wear it and it lasts over eight hours. It has a decent trail, and that lavender note is simply superb.

  • Exquisite aroma, suitable for daily wear even on days that aren’t cold but don’t exceed 30 degrees. It’s clean and fresh yet sharp, with a peppery kick that can generate compliments. Its weakness is longevity… initially I thought it was olfactory fatigue, but I asked several people and there was nothing; after two hours it’s barely detectable on the skin. It could be the batch; I’ve read it lasts much longer.

  • I’ve been given compliments: ‘this chap always smells so good’ and ‘it’s one of the few men’s fragrances I like’. I wear it daily for work and occasionally out for a drink in the evening.

  • Smells very nice; it’s not a beast in projection, and I don’t think that was the aim. It leaves a vibe of cleanliness, elegance, and freshness. Moderate trail and lasts around five hours on skin. I’ve received several compliments when wearing it to the office.

  • Excellent dupe for Sauvage. Blue, aromatic, good quality. However, longevity is poor: about an hour on skin, two on clothes.

When I first smelled it, I understood why it’s compared to the Sauvage, but I notice quite a difference. This smells like a doctor in a clean, tidy consulting room. I detect a hint of anaesthetic, very subtle. It’s very pleasant and quite discreet, which is why I think it’s perfect for a doctor. I recommend it; besides, the bottle is very elegant.

  • I love how it smells. It’s impossible not to compare it to Dior Sauvage because of the ambroxan and pepper, but I prefer the way the pepper smells here; when it dries down, it feels like I’ve ground some on my arm, without being too sharp. It’s a pity that remembering it so much makes it hard to recommend, as the latter is superior in longevity and sillage, a huge difference. But in terms of scent, I don’t see enough differences to justify saving it. I’d only recommend it if projection and longevity don’t matter to you and you prefer its aroma.

  • EnriqueSeguraJ

Cheaper than the Sauvage EDT. I prefer this one; it has real charm. However, paying $80 or $108 for 100ml makes no sense. Due to a bad memory, I thought it didn’t resemble the Sauvage much, so I bought it… and it lacks both sillage and longevity. I paid $74… a mistake.

Meh. It’s one of those Bleu de Chanel clones. It has that fresh, clean, metallic, and woody vibe that makes it so appealing and versatile. It’s rich, but not original. My rating: 6/10.

  • Hello, it smells very similar to Dior’s Sauvage, that classic. The notes are top-notch; the ambroxan is one of the best I’ve tried. The longevity is short, around 4-5 hours. The trail isn’t beastly but it’s good, lasting well, a 7.8/10. It suits people aged 20 to 40 perfectly; you smell neither like a father nor a child. It generates many compliments; women love it. 8.8/10. Ideal for mild or cool weather (summer, spring, autumn) and for any occasion, from the office to dates. It’s like an improved Sauvage, same DNA but a different fragrance, not smelling burnt. Just that it doesn’t last or project as much as the original.

  • Luna Rossa Carbon is everything that is right in the world of perfumery: sobriety, elegance, neatness and masculinity finely bottled. With decent longevity and a projection more for personal enjoyment after the first hour, this fragrance does not seek to attract attention or fill rooms; it is rather the reflection of a discreet, serious, elegant and correct gentleman, the more so.

  • Darmody1917

It is a perfume I love but I do not buy because it is not what I look for in day-to-day life. If I had to go back to the office and wanted a perfume, I would buy it without thinking. It is fresh, clean, not heavy and masculine. I would say it is the best perfume that makes you smell clean, leaving aside the powdery ones. The resemblance to Sauvage is there: lavender, ambroxan, pepper… but there is a clear difference. Sauvage is more piercing, more spiced, more brash and has that ‘f*ck boy’ touch. Luna Rossa Carbon leaves that aside and stays with the clean and fresh part. I could say it is the same fragrance except that at one point, one goes one way and the other the opposite. I think it is worth trying if you do not like Sauvage; it could surprise you.

  • Aroma acorde

Scent and dry-down very similar to Bleu de Chanel EDP and Dior Sauvage EDT, they have quite a lot in common.

  • My first review AAAAA. I will not talk much about the smell, there are many videos that explain it better; today I only give my experience of today. I applied 13 sprays: 3 on the chest without a shirt, 6 on the neck (the whole neck), 1 on each shoulder and 1 on each arm. This fragrance is not designed to fill rooms, which is why I applied that amount. It took me 1 hour 20 minutes to arrive, so I was almost at its last stages, but that did not prevent compliments afterwards, only when people were very close or hugging me. I would say it performed well for about 3 hours and then dropped to being perceptible only very close. The rating is for the smell; otherwise, it would be a like for the projection. Speaking of something else, the bottle is beautiful; I love that red line alongside its beautiful transparent bottle; the only drawback is the atomiser, but it is not that bad. I will take the three perfumes I have (not the 212) on a trip and I will tell you more about this and the others if I get to wear them.

  • Neatness, elegance, freshness and cleanliness. Fresh opening with the pepper, but you quickly pass to smelling the lavender and aquatic notes. In the dry-down it mixes with the ambroxan, which predominates. The resemblance to Sauvage EDT is notable, but in my opinion this is more elegant, clean, crystalline and less brash. I have both, but I like the Prada more, which is also cheaper. On my skin it has good performance and is a scent that is liked.

  • An elegant, neat fragrance, an all-rounder for any occasion. (A plus for me is that it is not invasive)

  • I bought it in 2020 and it already had poor performance, but it was the only one saying so; now most agree. It is not a fresher Sauvage, but a lavender fougere with musk and pepper and ambroxan (no iris). Sauvage smells denser, even dirty, with a resinous dry-down; this has none of that. I don’t see redundancy in having two, but it is noticeable that the ingredients are of better quality than Dior’s (which costs more). Anyway, reapply every four hours. Ideal for work. Climate: heat or moderate temperature, not cold because it is already “cold and serious”. It is not fun or youthful; it is for the modern, mature man. Do not buy blindly expecting a cheap Sauvage. It resembles Boucheron’s Singulier but of higher quality (try that). If I had to associate a colour, this is grey, Sauvage is black.

  • For the office, it’s the neat and amiable face of Dior: mysterious yet playful. It works all year round, though it lacks a bit of punch for cold nights. It always comes across as perfect as a signature scent. The pepper and ambroxan are toned down, but alongside the lavender (cleaner and nobler than in the French version), they are the stars of this PLRC. And that metallic note, reminiscent of pencil graphite. I see it as redundant to have both, so choose whether you go more with Sauvage or Luna Rossa Carbon. In terms of price, the Prada one is substantially cheaper (around £57/100ml versus £100/100ml); its potency is lower but its elegance is greater.
