My mother loves it and she has a sophisticated taste, but I cannot handle this scent. Literally, it smells like gunpowder to me. And I’m not saying that just for the sake of it, as I worked in a gunpowder factory for a while and it smells exactly like that.
My mother absolutely loves it; she has a very refined taste, but I simply cannot stand this scent. It literally smells like gunpowder. No joke – I once worked in a factory, and it smells exactly like that.
If you go to the fridge, take out a ginger, cut or grate it, and the smell that lingers on your fingers is exactly like this Prada Infusion of Ginger. It is spectacular in both the realism of the scent and its longevity; for a fragrance of this refreshing and sparkling type, it is madness how many hours it remains on the skin. On clothes, I don’t even need to mention it. How am I going to enjoy it this summer?
If you put ginger in the fridge, slice or grate it, the smell left on your fingers is identical to this Prada infusion. It’s spectacular both in the realism of the aroma and its longevity; for a refreshing and sparkling fragrance, it’s madness how long it lasts on skin and clothes. I can’t wait to enjoy it this summer!
At first, it’s a bit alarming because it’s very spicy (like ginger), but after five minutes, it has one of the most interesting dry-downs I’ve tried, and I can’t quite describe it. The pity is that it doesn’t last long and turns into the typical soapy scent of the line. I recommend trying it because it doesn’t smell the same on everyone. It lasts 3–4 hours on skin and longer on clothes. It’s a very peculiar, indescribable scent. I haven’t noticed the green mandarin.
As soon as you put it on, it gives you a bit of a fright because it is very spicy (like ginger), but after five minutes it has one of the most interesting dry-downs I have encountered and one I cannot describe in words. The pity is that it doesn’t last long and turns into the traditional soapy, talc-like dry-down of the line. I recommend trying it because it doesn’t smell the same on everyone’s skin. It lasts 3-4 hours, longer on clothes. It is a very peculiar, indescribable scent. I could not find the green mandarin note.
I loved it! I’m sure it will make it to the collection. A very realistic and spicy ginger. The longevity is quite good. It has become my favourite, alongside the Almond Infusion.
Beautiful. I think I have found my favourite Prada Infusion; it’s rare that most of the ones I’ve tried are of such a high standard. There’s little to say about the review as I haven’t tried every fragrance in the line and wouldn’t consider myself an expert, but I suspect most share the same structure: opening with a photorealistic scent of the named note before evolving into that lovely, characteristic soapy dry-down. Here we have ginger; on its own it is faintly smelling but intensely flavourful. The achievement is recreating that flavour so accurately (don’t worry, it doesn’t sting, haha). Fresh ginger, unlike dry powder, has the magic of being fresh yet possessing enough character for environments that are not strictly summery, just as the recreated scent does here. This fragrance has the revitalising effect of a citrus but with enough character for more formal and less hot situations; we shall see how it fares in full winter, but it is a much more all-rounder than it first appears, apart from the distinctive touch of ginger being a rarely used note. Beyond its functional advantages, it has captivated me personally; it is extremely pleasant and I am likely to buy a bottle for this summer. Best wishes.
Beautiful. I think I’ve found my favourite Prada Infusion, and yet most of the ones I’ve tried are of an extremely high standard. There’s not much to say; I haven’t tried every scent in the line nor do I consider myself an expert, but I suspect most share the same structure: they open with a hyper-realistic aroma of the main note before evolving into that lovely, characteristic soapy dry-down. Here we have the ginger; by itself, it’s not very smelly but has an intense flavour. The success lies in recreating its taste very accurately (don’t worry, it doesn’t sting, haha). Fresh ginger, unlike dried ginger, has the magic of being fresh yet characterful for environments that aren’t strictly summer. This perfume has the revitalising effect of a citrus but enough character for more formal and less hot situations. It is much more versatile than it first appears, apart from the distinctive touch of being an underused note. Beyond its functional advantages, it has captivated me personally; it is extremely pleasant, and I’m likely to buy a bottle for this summer. Best wishes.
The only difference is the opening; after 15 minutes, they are almost identical, so if you already own one, the other is unnecessary. It opens very powerfully, warm and spicy. Those first moments are delicious, then that typical soapy, fresh dry-down of the line emerges.
