  • Mofeta Perfumada

What a disappointment. It smells like cheap vanilla with a mentholated touch; while not bad, it sounds like a cocktail of clones: Invictus, Eros, or Le Male flankers. The bottle and name are the only things reminding it of the previous Luna Rossa Ocean EDT, which at least had that soapy, iris-like note that gave it personality. For Prada to withdraw treasures like Infusion d’Homme or Luna Rossa Black to launch this, a flanker of a flanker, says a lot about their future. With L’Oréal’s entry and Daniela Andrier’s departure, this was predictable. No surprises.

  • juancar677

Prada went from Puig to L’Oréal (from Herod to Pilate) and since then, their perfumer Daniela Roche Andrier is no longer there. There were talks of lawsuits, but the point is she’s gone, so they moved to delisting and reformulating as a basic principle, and launching new releases like this, the flanker of the previous Ocean. But now with new perfumers; the works we know of Prada are the product of a nose that no longer works for Prada. That’s all.

  • Sofisticado

Tested with few expectations but good intuition. It’s a rehash of ideas that forms a ‘schizophrenic’ perfume that’s hard to define. The opening might recall something of the original Ocean but develops into something plastic and creamy that tells me little or nothing. Hard to define this launch. Without a doubt, I stick with the original Ocean and that striking blend of freshness, elegance, and sweetness. It’s rare for a Prada fragrance not to say anything to me since I usually love them more than hate them, but this time they drew a blank. The flanker of the flanker that ends up nowhere.

  • svazquez7

With the EDP I like the opening, although the dry down is generic and the ambroxan takes on a life that is hardly pleasant; on my skin it smells like disinfectant with a sweet touch.

  • svazquez7

With the EDP, I like the opening, although as it dries down, the ambroxan becomes quite unpleasant and on my skin it smells like disinfectant with a sweet twist.

  • First impression after trying it in the perfumerie: at first it smells like a disinfectant or insecticide mix with plastic vanilla like that from a doll, until it settles into the typical woody note found in countless fragrances. It might seem like it turns me off… but no! Surprisingly, I’ve liked it more than the EdT version (of which it retains the faintest echoes, especially the aftertaste of ‘disinfectant’). It conveys a certain class to me, I don’t know why. What I don’t understand is the price and why Prada would discontinue jewels like Amber Pour Homme to make way for these new ones, which, while not entirely bad, don’t even come close to the soles of those shoes.

  • Mentholated and balsamic at first, with a citrus touch; after five minutes it smells sweet, similar to Armani Stronger. In the end, it smells of talcum powder; unfortunately, it leaves no mark, evaporating after thirty minutes. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price; the trail is poor and nothing groundbreaking. Scent 6, longevity 3, projection 3.

  • Smells very good. I let it macerate for a week and now it works quite well in terms of performance.

  • Smells very good; I let it macerate for a while and now it performs quite well in terms of longevity.

  • Jesses Perfumss

As they say, the longevity isn’t what I expected and doesn’t compare to the latest Prada releases, but the scent is exquisite to my taste, identical to its name, like a night gazing at the ocean with a red or pink moon resting upon it. It’s rich and gives compliments (up close); the only disappointing aspect is the poor projection and longevity.

  • Today I tried it with 2 sprays on my wrist and was quite disappointed with the longevity and projection (knowing the price). The smell, well, it’s delightful; citrus at the start and then a sweetness reminiscent of a good vanilla dessert. The big problem is that it’s only detectable close to the skin. I wouldn’t buy it for the price and poor performance. If it had good performance, it would be a must-have and a blind buy success.

  • I liked it; it’s not the most innovative but it’s pleasant to wear. Elegant and modest. On my skin, it lasts about 6 hours, I think it’s the longest-lasting Prada I’ve tried. There’s no trail, everything stays close to the skin. But as a personal scent, I enjoy the aroma and its modesty. To say it’s bad or not worth it doesn’t seem sensible, considering Prada is a modest house in terms of scent and projection.

  • VICTORAFJP

I still use it as my go-to daily or weekly scent. I wear it in situations where it’s less common, so the opposite sex give me plenty of compliments. Using it with a fixative for everyday wear is advisable, especially in temperate or cold climates.

  • Luna Rossa Ocean EDP is aromatic, woody, and amber. The opening is sweet and fresh with marine and amber accents. A few minutes later, a herbal, bitter, and balsamic accord rises, presumably incense, leaving a pleasant woody base. After 20 minutes, it settles and doesn’t change further. Unlike the EDT, the EDP is more amber, balsamic, and woody, less ‘blue’, though it remains versatile for fresh days, spring evenings, autumn, and winter, casual outings, or daily wear. Longevity is very good, over 10 hours on my skin with a curious trail: after 10 minutes it seemed invisible, but then a light trace appeared. It seems to disappear and reappear. Prada has changed the elegant, musky, soapy formula of the Oceans, making them more ‘common’, and sales seem to be going well, although for me it has lost its distinctiveness. The scent isn’t bad, so try it and decide.

I love woody and amber scents, and this perfume delivers exactly what it promises. It opens with very light citrus, but the amber notes are already present. The evolution is immediate, shifting into a completely woody/amber profile. Thank goodness it’s worlds away from its predecessor, EAU de Toilette, which was unbearable. I adopted it because it’s woody and amber from the start (with its obligatory citrus), and the evolution doesn’t matter; the scent you like at the beginning stays the same. If you want to smell like that, you’ll smell like that all the time. I know purists will be annoyed by the lack of evolution, but I prefer to know what I’m wearing without surprises at the two-hour mark. A highly recommended mainstream fragrance.

  • Miquel E

If you like woody and amber scents, this won’t deceive you. It begins with very soft citrus, but the amber is there from the start. Its evolution is minimal; it quickly becomes a purely woody and amber scent, far from the previous EDT which I found unbearable. I wear it because it smells the same at the beginning as it does at the end, with no surprises after two hours. I know purists will complain that it doesn’t evolve, but I like to know what I’m wearing all day. It’s a highly recommended mainstream fragrance.

  • Boticario13

Whenever a Prada fragrance launches, I always get excited, knowing I wouldn’t be indifferent. But Prada has messed up this proposal: it’s neither Ocean nor blue, nor does it have that exclusive touch. Does it smell bad? No, it smells good, but you’ve already smelled it before with slight variations. I don’t understand the sweet vanilla base that dominates the dry-down; the transition from grapefruit and incense is incredibly fast, and within ten minutes, it’s close to the skin. I don’t get it and it doesn’t perform. ‘This isn’t my Prada, they’ve changed it.’ Cheers! If you enjoy my reviews, follow my TikTok channel: Chuliá Parfum Reviews @chulia.my13parfums.

Sometimes a fragrance changes depending on the wearer, and this perfume is no exception. Beyond the scent, everyone agrees on its longevity. Let’s talk about that after the smell: it’s a delight. I didn’t understand it at first, then it fascinated me. It’s not simple, yet now I do, and I adore it. It opens sharp and citrusy before turning sweet and dark with sublime incense. Ideal for dates, dinners, or evening events with smart attire. It performs well in intermediate climates or cool summer nights. Projection is moderate, but it lasts like a beast: yesterday morning, it still smelled after I’d bathed the children in the pool. Perhaps the chlorine helps, or I have the ‘gold master’ batch, but it sticks to me like a leech. I recommend it 100% for its aroma, originality, and performance. Rating 8/10.

  • I don’t understand how it can smell so different depending on who wears it. This is the case with this perfume: beyond the subjective, the opinion on its longevity is almost unanimous. First, the aroma: it’s a delight. At first I didn’t understand it, then I was fascinated by it. It’s not a simple fragrance, but now I understand it and I love it. It opens sharp and citrusy before turning sweet and dark with a sublime incense. Ideal for dates, dinners, or evening events where you dress well. I see it more for intermediate climates or cool summer nights. Performance: it projects moderately, but in longevity it’s a beast. I tested it last night and it still smelled the next morning. I got out of the pool after playing with the children, and it was still detectable. Perhaps the chlorine enhances the longevity or I have the ‘gold master’ batch, but it sticks to me like a leech. I recommend it 100% for aroma, originality, and longevity. Rating 8/10.

  • It’s blue, vanilla-like, and talc-y from the first spray; the citrus and iris don’t dominate, the ambroxan is there all the time. It’s a different aquatic from the commercial ones. It lasts about six hours with few sprays. I’ve really liked it and received many compliments. It’s great for intermediate climates, although I tested it in summer and it held up well despite the sweetness (with fewer sprays).

  • It is blue, vanilla-musked, and incense-heavy from the start; the citrus and iris don’t dominate, but the ambroxan lingers forever. It’s a distinct aquatic compared to commercial options. It lasts about six hours with just a few sprays. It has earned me many compliments. It suits intermediate climates, though in summer, fewer sprays can handle the heat. Overall, I like it quite a lot.

  • adiccionperfumesdv

I bought this cheap and initially didn’t connect with its citrus opening, but since it doesn’t last long, I absolutely love the dry-down. It’s now my signature scent alongside Chanel Bleu EDP; I wear it daily and colleagues often ask what it is. It performs well, lasting seven to eight hours with a trail, making it ideal for dates or bars. I’ve worn it in the heat with good results, though its perfect climate is intermediate (autumn to spring). The projection isn’t beastly, but it has captivated me; I recommend it.

  • My office perfume. It opens with potent citrus, but after 30 minutes the projection drops and it becomes a scent almost identical to vanilla ice cream. The incense is noticeable close to the skin, and at a distance it smells like a pleasant talc-like sweetness with a subtle wood. In terms of longevity, it lasts about eight hours with a light projection and twelve hours close to the skin. It’s a rich bottled vanilla ice cream, good for all climates except extreme heat, because in those cases I find it cloying.

  • For the office, it opens with a potent citrus burst that fades within 30 minutes, settling into an almost icy vanilla. The incense clings to the skin, smelling sweetly musky with a woody touch from a distance. It lasts around eight hours with minimal projection, but twelve hours close to the skin. Think of it as a rich vanilla ice cream in a bottle; it’s brilliant for any weather except extreme heat, as it becomes cloying in those conditions.

  • Fran.zupu

One of the most versatile fragrances I’ve tried in a long time. Spectacular scent, great sillage, and above all, its longevity stands out: 12 hours on skin and several days on clothes. A true gem in perfumery.

  • perfumaniac

A formal fragrance with great presence, well masculine but not stuffy. The quality of the notes is incredible. Although not declared, there’s a subtle touch of suede leather and an almond note from the amber and vanilla. It reminded me of the early flankers of L’Homme Ideal EDT by Guerlain, which they reformulated. I wear it in autumn/winter, especially at night in cool temperatures, or on a somewhat sunny autumn day. Versatile age range, but my nose suggests over 25. I recommend spraying a little on the upper chest to feel the potency whenever you want, because it’s dangerously addictive. You’ll want to smell it up close all the time.

  • St Carlo Jr

Every nose is different; interpretations vary, which is lovely. This ‘Ocean’ has nothing to do with it; on my nose, it’s super creamy, vanilla-heavy with a manly base, balsamic touches, and I sense a note of iris, super powdery. Perhaps it’s the Amber Extreme that they make sweet and powdery here instead of salty-marine. Honestly, it’s indifferent to me; it ends up being vanilla-sweet without conveying anything new to me. I acknowledge it smells good and may please the public, but with several fragrances in my collection, I lean towards other options.

  • JohnLecter86

This perfume should come with a warning: ‘Use only if you’re single’. It’s a compliment bomb, very sweet and sexy. It has a vibrant citrus opening that lasts about 30 minutes, then the woody notes become noticeable, with a sweet and slightly smoky blend. The base notes, vanilla and amber, are simply exquisite. Worth the investment. I recommend wearing it semi-formally or at night with a blue shirt and black trousers for a mysterious touch. Blind buy guaranteed.

  • One word: VANILLA. It’s pure vanilla, smells like vanilla right through to the base, like a fresh ice cream. It smells good, but it’s not my type. If you like the smell of vanilla, you will definitely love this perfume.

  • CarlosMorenoo

I bought it for my sister’s wedding, looking for something not too sweet, masculine, and elegant. After trying several, I settled on this. The scent was exactly what I was looking for: masculine, not overly sweet, with an elegant touch for a suit. I was worried about the performance initially because I didn’t notice much projection in the large wedding venue and feared it wouldn’t be noticed. I’ve worn it sparingly for the past five months, but for the last month, I’ve used it on dates and it enchanted my girlfriend. It became my signature scent; she gave compliments from the first date, and several family members did too. Not just because of the scent, but the performance; it stayed on my partner’s clothes. To put a downside, the price seems a bit steep; I think it could be more affordable.

  • Maxito ay non

I’ve been wanting this fragrance for over a year, bought it today, and I loved it. The only issue is that the spray doesn’t work well and sprays to the sides. Does anyone know how to fix it?

  • It has won the title of my favourite fragrance of the year. As read below, it’s pure vanilla and what more does one want? There’s hardly any ocean to it; it’s very sweet. Good longevity and sillage (for the first few hours) for a current designer. Very versatile if you want to smell elegant without looking outdated, perfect for going out at night. I highly recommend it.

  • In a world where reviews are often vague definitions just to make reading easier, after nearly three years, I’m writing this honest opinion. Prada Luna Rossa Ocean Eau de Parfum is peculiar yet simple: grapefruit, incense, vanilla, woods, and extreme amber in perfect harmony. Sweet, but in just the right measure. It’s not versatile, but it certainly earns compliments (especially from girls; it’s the one I’ve liked the most). Excellent projection and longevity. The price is justified. If you’re looking for something similar to the EDT, forget it; it has nothing to do with ‘Ocean’. Blind buy? Without a doubt. It’s rare for someone in their right mind not to like it. 9/10.

  • In a world where reviews are ambiguous definitions of famous perfumes just to be easy to read, after almost three years, I write this sincere opinion. Prada Luna Rossa Ocean EDP is a peculiar and simple fragrance by its notes. The grapefruit, incense, vanilla, woods, and extreme amber create total harmony. Sweet in just the right measure. It’s not versatile. It deserves many compliments, especially from girls (I collect perfumes and it’s the one that has pleased all the women I’ve been with). It has excellent projection, performance, and longevity. The price is justified. Note: if you’re looking for something similar to the Ocean EDT, forget this. Of ‘Ocean’ I have as much as a bishop. Blind buy? Without a doubt. It would be rare for someone in their right mind not to like it. Rating 9/10.

  • What a delight! It brings back memories of the 2000s. The performance is top-notch; I tested it and my brother asked about it. I didn’t buy it as I already have quite a few fragrances, but on my next trip, I won’t pass it up. Ideal for office days in colder climates.
