It transports me back to when I was 14 or 15… with that vanilla scent I love, something I haven’t found in any other perfume since. Along with Anais Anais, far my favourite perfume, pity it’s discontinued.

  • I hate this perfume, it smells like an old lady. If they gave it to me I wouldn’t accept it.

  • Enough with saying perfumes smell like ‘grandma’! It’s not just a lack of respect for our elders, but it reveals absolute ignorance of the world of scents. Fragrances have no age. Yes, it takes a certain personality to wear some. Inmature people or those lacking personality don’t suit aromas for mature adults. That’s all.

  • I’m 24 years old and this perfume impressed me enormously <3 I thought it was for older ladies and never tried it until now. And I must say it smells very good, a classic, warm and feminine. It lasts quite a while, certainly a work of art.

  • As a child I loved this perfume. I remember it was very vanilla and I thought it was the height of elegance for a girl. My mother never bought it for me because she thought it was too strong for my age. I’m sure she was right. Over the years I managed to get the original EDP. My aunt didn’t use it and gave it to me. The worst part is that I don’t use it either. I never find an occasion. It always seems too much. And every time I discard it, I think of LouLou Blue and wonder that if I had this version I would have finished it years ago. Come on, Cacharel! Givenchy, Estee Lauder, YSL… have relaunched their great hits. When will you?

I bought it by mistake thinking it was the classic and it became the perfume of my life. I probably used it from 16 until 27-28 years old. I didn’t use another, it was my essence. I stopped when I could no longer get it. I simply love it. It has a vanilla scent, sweet but subtle, with a mysterious oriental touch that wraps around (like the classic but more subtle). What I liked was that it seemed like a different scent, and I’m still looking for something similar without success. I still have a little bit left and when I smell it I return to my youth. It’s a pity it’s no longer available (or at absurd prices). If anyone else likes it and knows of a similar scent, tell me, I’ll greatly appreciate if there’s anyone else in this world who liked this retro oriental vanilla.

I bought it by mistake, thinking it was the classic Loulou, and it became the perfume of my life. I wore it from 16 to 27 years old; I had nothing else. I stopped when it became unavailable. It’s sweet, subtle, and has that mysterious, enveloping oriental touch. I loved that it was different, and I’m still searching for something similar without success. I still have a little bit left, and when I smell it, I’m transported back to my youth. It’s a pity it’s no longer available or is ridiculously expensive. If anyone else liked it or knows of a similar scent, please let me know; I’d value knowing I’m not the only one.

I spent years collecting perfumes, bewitched by this fragrance. I still remember the excitement of removing the cellophane from the box and unscrewing the cap… diametrically opposed to the original Loulou, which was heavy and cumbersome. This one was extremely feminine, warm, and youthful without being obvious, far from innocent strawberries or flowers. It wrapped around you with candour and delicacy, evoking a pure and beautiful woman. I’ve spent years trying to recreate that essence; Lolita Lempicka comes close in the base with that familiar vanilla note. It’s a shame Cacharel has dropped this gem. If anyone remembers it with the affection I do, let’s wait for them to bring it back. Best wishes.

The reason I’ve been collecting perfumes for years was the enchantment this fragrance caused me… I still remember the pleasure of removing the cellophane and the plastic cap from that delight… diametrically opposed to the original, which was heavy and annoying. This was an extremely feminine, warm, and youthful scent without falling into the obvious. Totally away from red fruits or chewing gum. It was a scent that wrapped you in innocence and delicacy… pure and beautiful woman. My collection is full of attempts to remember this fragrance. Its pyramid is similar to some current ones, and I can swear that Lolita Lempicka comes very close in the base. It’s lamentable that Cacharel has ruined this gem. Whoever remembers it with the love I venerate it… touch wood for them to pity us and bring it back.

  • You couldn’t have described it better, @AnaMarcelaAmaLosPerfumes… I don’t understand the 37 votes for similarity with the classic Loulou; I’m confused. Loulou Blue is the most delicate vanilla I’ve tried (and I’m not a gourmand or ‘vanilla’ person at all). I have a 15ml bottle alongside a deodorant and keep it as ‘gold in a cloth’. Bravo @gmoranch! Enough with the ‘you smell old’ label.

  • You could not have described it better @AnaMarcelaAmaLosPerfumes… I struggle to understand those 37 similarity votes with the classic, honestly… I’m crossing my fingers. This Loulou Blue is the most delicate vanilla I’ve ever tried (and I’m not a gourmand or ‘vanilla’ person at all. I have a 15ml bottle alongside a deodorant and keep it like ‘gold in a cloth’. Bravo @gmoranch!!!! Enough with the ‘you smell like an old lady’ label.

  • I don’t feel like writing, but everything good said about this perfume is nothing. I’ve written to Cacharel several times without a reply asking for it again. I see I’m not the only one who misses it. If there is a long-lasting and perfect scent for almost any day, it’s this. Will anyone else join in so they bring Lou Lou Blue back?

  • I don’t usually write reviews, but everything good said about this perfume is an understatement. I’ve written to Cacharel several times asking for it again, with no response. I see I’m not the only one who desires it. If there is a long-lasting and perfect perfume for almost any occasion, it is this one. Is anyone else joining the call for Loulou Blue to be relaunched?
