  Bought shortly after arriving in the EU on recommendation, and it’s now one of my favourites. The box is gorgeous and protects the golden bottle with red, snake motifs, and a heavy cap. It opens with a sweet and acidic bomb, liqueur-like, of cherries, raspberries, and bergamots. It smells of old syrup or aspirin, juicy and intense, like brandy or marraschino. It projects from over a metre away. Then, amongst ripe fruits, emerges a blend of praline, heliotrope, jasmine, and roses that lasts for hours, giving elegant floral freshness. Afterwards, the liqueur sensation fades, leaving a base of patchouli and vetiver on the skin, but from a distance, you can detect the tonka bean and vanilla. The cherries, praline, and bergamot remain distinguishable hours later, like a creamy dessert, sweet but not cloying. It’s unisex, feminine, and enveloping, wrapping you in warmth while combining creamy sweetness with fruits and flowers—an irresistible gourmand.

  I’ve had it since yesterday and it’s a sweet liqueur-style black cherry that evolves quickly into cherry with tobacco leaves (not cigarette-like), leaving a smoky trail. Ultimately, it’s a sweet compote-style cherry. If you know Kayali’s VRSP, it’s like mixing that with cherry at the start. It doesn’t seem long-lasting at first, but that’s true for almost everything (even niche fragrances). Edit: after a week, it’s still soft, noticeable only when freshly sprayed.

  To my nose, it smells just like Maison Alhambra’s Lovely Cherry but with more punch. It’s a very pronounced cherry scent with a powerful opening. I see it as a night fragrance for cold weather, with a unisex touch. Highly recommended and I adore the bottle. I wouldn’t buy it blindly, but for the price-to-quality ratio, it’s a hit.
