I know it’s sandalwood, but to me it smells of natural coconut, not that cocktail version from big brands. Here, the coconut is vegetal and creamy, enhancing the woody base. The ambroxan and citrus just add brightness without being cloying, perfect for summer. It’s a delight: coconut, sandalwood, and a light woody base. The skin note sounds like a cathedral, but it has brought back memories of bare skin. Original and worth hearing. For spring/summer, unisex with a feminine touch. Worth it, although I would have preferred 120€ over the 140€ for the line. Lasts its proper 8 hours.
Although it is sandalwood, on my skin it smells of natural coconut, nothing of that beachy or cocktail-like character they usually have. It has a coconut water accord that gives it extra creaminess and prevents it from becoming cloying. The bergamot’s citrus note just adds brightness, and the ambroxan is barely noticeable. It’s a delight: coconut, sandalwood, and very light wood. The skin note is exaggerated, but it has brought back lovely memories. Original and worth smelling. Ideal for spring/summer, unisex but leaning feminine. Worth it, although 120 euros would have been fairer than the current price. Lasts about 8 hours.
It has completely taken me by surprise. It’s a masterful fusion between a potent sandalwood, reminiscent of Santal 33, and that milky touch of Lait Concentré. From the first spray, it smells of vanilla and milk—super creamy and delicate, without being harsh. On my skin, it lasts over 12 hours and projects quite well. I already own several sandalwoods, but this has made me consider buying it for its quality and scent. Scent 8/10, longevity 10/10, sillage 8.5/10, value for money 7/10, versatility 7.5/10, packaging 7.5/10. I haven’t bought it yet.
Piano Santal is a beautiful sandalwood: milky, airy, warm, and enveloping. Far from a pastry gourmand, it’s soft with a clean musk touch that lasts through the entire evolution. I see it as 100% unisex and super versatile, ideal for the day in calm situations where you don’t want to invade (note: it does project, but it’s impossible to be annoying). It’s also perfect for staying cosy at home on autumn or winter evenings; it comforts me. Projection and trail are moderate to high, lasting over 10 hours on skin. I love the bottle, one of the most elegant I’ve seen. Regarding its similarity to Commodity’s Milk, they share some things, but this is a more delicate and sophisticated version, whereas the other is sweeter, flashier, and more playful. In summary, it’s not my absolute favourite sandalwood nor do I think I need another in this profile, but it proved addictive and I’d love to own it. PS: A year later, with a good deal, I had to buy it one way or another.
Piano Santal is a beautiful sandalwood: lactonic, airy, warm, and enveloping. No pastry notes; it smells soft with a clean musk touch that lingers. I see it as unisex, versatile, and daytime, ideal for quiet moments without being invasive, though it projects well. It’s also perfect for being wrapped up in autumn/winter; it comforts me. Projection and sillage are high, lasting over 10 hours. The bottle is one of the most elegant I’ve seen. Although it’s not my absolute favourite sandalwood and I don’t think I need another of this profile, it has been addictive and I would love to own it. PS. A year later, with a good offer, I bought it regardless.
I’ve worn it for three months and it just doesn’t suit me. Buy blind, don’t take the risk. If you didn’t like the sandalwood in Crystal Noir, forget this one (even though they aren’t identical, it’s that same concept). The milky side they promise is hard to detect; on my skin, it’s not evident at all, and there are better options for that profile. The cumin is very noticeable, reminding me of the dressing for olives. Don’t let the hype fool you, look closely. I know it’s hard to test, but on you, there’s a risk. I’d choose Memo Paris’s Sherwood sandalwood a thousand times over 💕. Edit: the box is a proper joke, cheap cardboard; even school cardstock is better. I sold it on Vinted for a hundred quid, a relief to be rid of it.
I own several sandalwood perfumes but had to try this one after reading so many reviews. I bought a sample set with ‘Piano Santal’ and it blew my mind. It’s unisex: on my skin, it smells like creamy, milky sandalwood, quite feminine for a typical masculine woody note. My boyfriend finds it very masculine, with the sandalwood very prominent. I love how it changes depending on the skin, so I recommend it for couples (if you like the notes). I already have two 15ml bottles to try without spending on the big one, but once I finish, I’ll go for the 100ml. If you like sandalwood and have curiosity, give it a go.
