Old-school barbershop style, a fougere that exudes class but has limited projection. Tremendously masculine and a bit out of touch for younger people. It nods to Azzaro Pour Homme and YSL’s Rive Gauche. It finishes with a potent animalic musk. Worth it for the price.

Short review: I liked it less than expected. On my skin, an animalic musk dominates, smelling of dirty animal hide. The lavender is barely perceptible, with just a hint of cardamom and vanilla at the end. It has nothing of Regio about it, and I don’t feel like wearing it. Goodbye.

It caught me off guard: it begins with a citrus explosion, grapefruit and bergamot with jasmine, like a classic cologne but with much punch. After three minutes, the tone drops, lavender, geranium, and a base of musk and vanilla enter to bring balance. The middle phase blends carnation, geranium, and that vanilla base without losing the bitter citrus touch; it’s persistent and brilliant. Top-notch quality that mixes old Italian perfumery with modern nuances. I see it for all seasons except winter, ideal for formal or semi-formal wear. It’s unisex but with a masculine vibe, for those who love citrus, spicy, and fougere scents. Scent 9/10, trail 8.5/10, projection 9/10, and longevity 8.5/10.

Regio is the dark side of the house: a rough marine fougere hiding behind its brother, Fiero. It starts fresh, but Indonesian patchouli dries everything out quickly, followed by a cold cardamom and citrus notes I can’t quite identify. The heart is serious: withered geranium, metallic carnation, and that dominant patchouli giving it a retro, very masculine vibe. Finally, a shy, powdery vanilla that reminds me of cheap pirate movies, smelling of abandoned docks and damp earth. If it says it smells like the Italian coast, it smells like a rotting old port. A great fougere, very intense.
