It’s Erba Pura with the passion fruit of Dahab. The projection is immense but I got none of the listed notes. Don’t let the notes guide you. Like the original, I find it annoying.
The opening is like a sugared fruit salad, sweet but not cloying. It reminds me of Fructis shampoo but with much higher quality. The dry down is ambroxane with other things.
The first three minutes are the best: pleasant, stimulating and put a smile on your face. You smell what the list says, much better than the EP. However, it remains very feminine, like shampoo with spices making it warmer. After three hours it becomes usable again; you notice the vanilla, amber and coumarin that Xerjoff uses in abundance. Definitely more rounded and less synthetic than its older sister.

Totally agree with Gina Arévalo. For me, very feminine at first. I was impressed by the longevity; there was no way to wash it off with soap and water. Not for me.
Erba Gold by Xerjoff, wow, as its name suggests, pure gold, what a marvel. From the first spray I fell in love; it’s an exquisite broth, lasts hours on the skin and the trail is magical, you can smell it hours later and on clothes it’s eternal. It’s not indifferent; it’s one of my first in the collection. If you’re looking for citrus with a trail, this is it. I’m a floral person and I stop smelling them after two hours, but Erba Gold starts citrus and sparkling before becoming a sweet fruit without being cloying thanks to the musk, cardamom, acidity and amber, making it unisex.
Erba Gold by Xerjoff, wow! True to its name, pure gold, what a marvel. I fell in love from the first spray; it is an exquisite broth that lasts hours on my skin, leaving a beautiful, magical trail, even after hours, and an eternity on clothes. It is not indifferent; it is one of the first in my collection. If you are looking for a citrus scent with a trail, this is undoubtedly the one to make a mark! As for florals, I stop smelling them after two hours, but Erba Gold begins as a sparkling citrus ode and ends in sweet, non-cloying fruit thanks to the musk, cardamom, acidity, and amber, making it unisex.
Agree with others: this Erba Gold is fruitier and less shrill than the EP. Still, hard to recommend if you already have the original, as while it differs, it’s very similar. It’s like an improved version, more wearable overall.
I agree with others: this Erba Gold leans more fruity and is less shrill and overwhelming than the EP. Although it distinguishes itself, it is very similar, so I would hardly recommend it if you already own the original. It is like an improved version of the EP, more bearable in every way.
Since when does smelling like fruit count as feminine?
Smells like potassium with ambroxane, mainly for women.
Finally tried Erba Pura Gold and wow, it’s almost identical to the classic but more balanced, less strident and heavy. I loved it. I noticed a hint of passion fruit not listed, perhaps due to the melon mixed with other fruits. Although having both makes sense, it seems absurd how similar they are. When I finish my bottle of the original, this is next on my list; I liked it immensely.
Fantastic. Similar structure to Pura but better, because the citrus (orange and mango) accompanies the fruits throughout. The base musk is the best of the house, with vanilla and wood that round it off without dominating. Longevity and projection are enormous. Suitable for day or night depending on your mood. For all ages, but it requires a young, graceful soul. Totally unisex. One of the best.
Fantastic. The structure is similar to Erba Pura but better, because the fruit core is accompanied by an orange-mango citrus throughout the life of the fragrance. The musk base is the best of the house; vanilla and wood round it off without taking centre stage. Longevity and projection are enormous. Ideal for day or night, depending on taste. Suitable for all ages, although it calls for a young, graceful soul, and is totally unisex. One of the best.
I feel it’s almost a clone of Kajal’s Dahab (no offence, 🤭). It’s rich, slightly common, but smells very rich. I also detect a hint of JG Scandal Absolu in the dry-down, but it’s more refined.
I bought it to replace Erba Pura and it hasn’t disappointed. The projection and longevity are brutal; it smells more masculine. A 100% compliment generator.
I love it. It’s a sparkling cocktail of fruits. On my skin, it lasts over eight hours without becoming a clone, with good trail and projection. Although it’s suited for heat, on gloomy winter days it lifts my spirits. I love layering it. A perfect perfume for me for day and evening.
I tried it today and it’s exquisite. Totally unisex and wearable all year round.
I bought Erba Gold with fear, I admit. I was thinking of the typical Erba Pura aroma, which smells everywhere and finds me unbearable. Fortunately, they have nothing to do with each other. The opening is fresh, vibrant, luminous, almost addictive. The best comes later: the dry down is spectacular, warm, enveloping, elegant, sophisticated, far from what you would expect if you come conditioned by the Pura. For those who hesitate: a completely safe purchase. Nothing generic, nothing cloying. A jewel in the Xerjoff catalogue.
I bought Erba Gold with some trepidation. I was expecting the typical aroma of Pura, which already smells everywhere and overwhelms me. But they have nothing in common. The opening is fresh, vibrant, luminous, and almost addictive. The dry-down is spectacular: warm, enveloping, elegant, and sophisticated. If you’re unsure, it’s a safe purchase. Nothing generic or cloying. A true jewel from Xerjoff.
My third blind Xerjoff purchase. Impressive at first, with excellent fruit notes. The longevity is short, perhaps due to the heat and my motorbike, but I’ll keep testing. If it holds up, it will be an absolute top-tier scent.
They’re right; it smells like fruity vape juice. It improves with time, but for me, it remains very artificial.
They were right, it smells like fruit vape. It smells better as time passes but it is too artificial for my taste.
If you like Erba Pura, you might be disappointed, especially regarding projection. It continues to explore Xerjoff’s fruit basket with musk, plus added cinnamon and spices. Suitable for all seasons, an absolute all-rounder.
It’s a perfect 10 out of 10. I recommend it 100%.
Much less brash than Erba Pura. It smells fresh and fruity, evolving into a woody finish.
Truly cloying! Its cousin, the Erba Pura, which I also find cloying, is more bearable than this. Here they went too far again.
This perfume is an experience. I bought it blindly, and when I smelled the atomiser, I nearly died. I noticed a very synthetic aroma that made me regret it, but after applying it several times, the doubts dissipated; it’s a proper bomb and the quality shows. The opening is fruity and tropical, dominated by passion fruit which gives it a citrusy touch, similar to Tropical Twist’s Trident, with that sticky sensation. It then evolves into something softer, where on my skin the mango is noticeable with a musky base. It remains varied: sometimes passion fruit, other times mango with that base. In the end, it settles into a soft musk with citrus hints and a light vanilla, perfect because I don’t like loud perfumes. Simply put, it’s a tropical fruit orgy. The longevity is very good, 8-10 hours. I see it as unisex, leaning masculine, but both genders can wear it. Suitable for dates, meetings, even clubs. I see it for everything except winter; you won’t smell like the beach at -10 degrees, will you? Well, everyone’s call. Haha.
Truly cloying. Its cousin, Erba Pura, which I also find cloying, is more bearable than this one. They went too far this time.
This one is truly a gem. Erba Pura is extremely common, but Erba Gold retains that DNA while adding a more elegant and masculine twist, making it truly worth it. I’m not saying Erba Pura is useless, but Erba Gold is what sets you apart. It’s like saying: ‘Yes, I know the vibe, but I wear the refined version’. A Xerjoff with presence, brilliance and that just right difference to ensure you don’t smell like everyone else.
It dries down very similar to Erba Pura, but for me, it has better performance. I see it as a more youthful scent, and to a certain point, feminine. I love it, but it’s a common smell, though versatile. The performance is good, but there isn’t much exclusivity. Lattafa Confidential Private Gold, Bharara King and Jo Milano Paris Game of Spades King offer better performance and are muuuuch cheaper. If you want to buy it… 100% recommended.
My heart was deceived. To be honest, it enchants me every time I catch a whiff, but it leaves no trail and has no projection. It sits very close to the skin for what it costs; I wouldn’t buy it again.
They all stem from a variant of Erba Pura, but this one is very different. Erba Pura always caught my attention; I tried decants and clones without being convinced because I found it too loud. Here, that harshness is toned down; the fruit features a rich, undeclared mango note, with ginger similar to Vulcan Feu but more refined. It doesn’t feel sticky. The best part is the cardamom, which becomes powdery and more masculine as it dries, reminiscent of YSL’s Nuit, but with that fruit cocktail. The phases are incredible: citrus opening, then sweet from the fruits, followed by spiced and sharp ginger, then powdery cardamom, and finally woody. It doesn’t last or project like Erba Pura, which is the only thing I envy, but as a perfume, it’s much better.
In the air, it smells like Amber Oud Gold Edition.
A rich and sweet fragrance, featuring that fruity innovation with an Erba Pura base. It’s not super masculine; it’s a unisex scent made for the young. Smells fantastic, with great projection and a heavy sillage. Designed for summer or spring. The price is niche, elevated as is the entire Xerjoff range.
The king of young, summery scents. A perfect balance between fruity, citrusy and woody notes, with that roundness and quality only Xerjoff can deliver. Upon spraying, it’s addictive: melon, apple and citrus dominate, and curiously it smells of mango even though it’s not listed. Lasts 8-9 hours on skin and up to two days on clothes. Projects to two metres for the first 2-3 hours, then sits closer to the skin. It shares the DNA of Erba Pura, but this is superior; Erba Pura is beastly and very synthetic, whereas Erba Gold feels more realistic, masculine and unisex. Ideal for smelling exquisite and different. 10/10.
