  • This 2010 perfume revives the 1998 edition of S.T. Dupont, that French luxury house known for jewellery, leather and its famous lighters used by millionaires and Monte Carlo players. Its lines are somewhat restrictive for daily wear; it has clean tones that work better in winter or for outdoor social events and in spacious areas, with a striking and easy-to-remember scent that lasts all day under those conditions thanks to its linear and almost monofloral character. In the office, however, it seems to have conflicting behaviour due to its aromatic trail and that dense floral note which is directly intrusive.

  • This fragrance fails to live up to its name: the intensity is completely lacking. At first, it smells warm, musky, earthy and slightly alcoholic, but that evaporates quickly. I didn’t detect any citrus or green notes. Then the florals come out, mainly mimosa, but this phase is extremely brief and the fragrance becomes super powdery. Sandalwood also appears, which I like, but here it reminded me of incense shops and wood-burning stoves. From there on, it doesn’t evolve or surprise. It smells nice, like perfumed talcum powder with sandalwood and musk, but it’s not enough to be an Eau de Parfum or to be called ‘intense’! Unlike the other review, I think it suits any occasion and climate, as it’s not intrusive and its trail is very soft. Perhaps the current version (I bought it this year) has been reformulated for the worse, as happens with many perfumes. I bought it expecting power and was disappointed there, although it’s pleasant, I wouldn’t buy it again.

Bought it blind and in one word: ELEGANT. What a delight! On my skin, it smells of sandalwood, musk and amber; powdery, warm and sweet. I didn’t notice the initial citrus note, but it has that classic 2000s vibe without being vintage. It lasts about four hours on me, more for personal enjoyment than projection, as it loses its throw quickly. It’s not a powerful bomb like many nowadays, but it is noticeable and long-lasting. It’s linear and a resounding ‘yes’: I fell in love. If you’re looking for something for all day, adaptable to different times of day (better in cold weather), it’s your fragrance. Edit: after a year, I confirm it lasts a long time; by the four-hour mark I can’t smell it, but people can, and I always receive compliments. It is a truly BEAUTIFUL perfume.
