An elegant and refined floral chypre with a strong presence yet not intrusive, and with excellent longevity. I’m already on my second bottle and I absolutely love it.
One of my all-round favourites: a floral chypre that few know about. It starts citrusy with a touch of galbanum before exploding into flowers. Cedar and moss give it strength without overpowering the bouquet. It’s soothing, feminine, and elegant – ‘crisp’, as the Anglo-Saxons would say. It has a strong presence but isn’t intrusive; it’s very friendly. And another plus: the longevity is incredible; you don’t even need to carry a decant to refresh. Although chypres with clove can sound vintage, this smells very modern and classy. It works for day or night, informal or formal; with Pour Femme, just adjust the dose. It lifts my spirits, so perhaps I’m not entirely impartial. In my area, you can only find it online, watch out for prices ranging from €30 to €80, do your research before buying blindly. It dazzles me, it’s a little gem. It won’t suit everyone, but enjoy.
