What a delightful surprise with Dupont; I bought three but started by reviewing this one. Rubbing my wrist, it initially smells fruity and fresh, likely tangerine and grapefruit, with an ozonic note not listed here. Then a fresh green note emerges, probably bamboo, keeping that fruit and bamboo interplay to add fresh woods without being intrusive. In short, it smells as fresh as a breeze with fruity and green touches. Highly recommended blind, it’s one of those ‘freshies’ that please without annoying; instead, you’ll get compliments. A point for Dupont! I invite you to try their fragrances.
Rich-smelling. Reminds me of Phos by Béjar without that minty note, less sweet. Also brings to mind Bvlgari Aqua without the strong marine edge, more wearable, and sometimes the old Clinique Happy. They aren’t the same, but you can recognise the DNA. It has citrus notes but softened by iris and bamboo which I can’t detect separately, so don’t expect pure iris. It’s fresh, daily-wear friendly, easy to like, pleasant, and doesn’t smell generic. Worth it for under £25. The trail and projection are average, lasts well but shines more between 20 and 30 degrees. If you like the ones I mentioned, it’s a well-made, budget-friendly alternative. A surprise! Cheers.

They aren’t identical, but they’re recognisable. It has a citrus part but sweetened by the iris and bamboo, which I don’t smell separately, so don’t expect pure iris. I followed the reviews to buy this Esence Pure by Dupont and was disappointed; apart from smelling nice, especially in the heat, it loses intensity and longevity quite a bit.
