  • One of the most powerful gems I’ve tried from Maison Alhambra. I’m not comparing it to the original, but it’s a bomb in terms of longevity and projection. The scent is a delight: very powerful yet clean oud, exquisite saffron, and green touches that add freshness. I suppose there are hidden notes because it smells of roses and a hint of wine. Looks super elegant and unisex. A marvel that cost more when it launched; now it’s a bargain. Hope they haven’t diluted it.

  • I agree with almost everything the previous reviewer said. For me, it has that rose from Moschino Toy Boy, giving a sensation of crushed or sour red wine. I don’t know the original it clones, but I have Gucci Guilty Absolute in my top 5 and this The Serpent resembles it, especially as it dries down after half an hour or an hour. To give you an idea, it smells very much like Uniesia ointment.

  • The opening is very strong with the floral attack of the oud; it reminds me a bit of the heart of ‘The Night’ by Fragrance World but less intense. If there’s patchouli, it’s well hidden. For me, from the heart to the base, it remains balanced with soft leather and smoke notes without overpowering the florals. I feel both go hand in hand; the projection starts at a metre and settles into the personal bubble. The floral seems to be saffron or a dark rose that ends in a very dark woody note. I liked it immensely.

  • The opening is sharp due to the oud and florals; it reminds me a bit of the heart of The Night by Fragrance World, but less intense. If there’s patchouli, it’s well hidden. For me, from the heart to the base, it’s balanced: soft leather and smoke without overpowering the florals. The projection starts at a metre and settles into the personal bubble. The floral, whether saffron or dark rose, holds in a dark woody note. I liked it a lot.

  • What a perfumon. One of my favourite low-cost picks with that synthetic oud note. Once at work, a colleague asked if I was wearing an oud. Suitable for formal wear, very winter-appropriate, and lasts a long time. Notes of burnt and incense-like oud wood with a very, very slight sweet touch.

  • What a perfumon; it’s one of my favourite low-cost picks with that synthetic oud note. Once I wore it to work and a colleague said: ‘Are you wearing an oud, right?’. Suitable for formal wear, very winter-appropriate, and lasts a long time. Smells of burnt and incense-like oud wood with a very, very slight sweet touch.

  • At first, it drove me up the wall, but I gave it a chance on my wrist until I stopped fearing it. What a surprise: it’s a real beauty. If you’re interested, give it a try. I’ve tested other synthetic ouds, but this one is rich. It sounds a bit petrol-like, perhaps due to the saffron, but honestly, the price-to-quality ratio is excellent.

  • At first, I was put off by the roll-on format, but I gave it a chance as it seemed daring and a bit dull. Gradually, on my wrist, I lost my fear and got excited. What a surprise! It’s a brilliant perfume. If you’re interested, give it a try. I’d already tested other synthetic ouds, but this one is rich. There’s a slight petrol note, perhaps from the saffron, but honestly, it’s excellent value for money.

  • This is the most long-lasting perfume I own, even compared to beasts like Club de Nuit Oud. It’s a leather scent that screams with all its power. I wear it with my leather jacket, Iron Maiden or Metallica tees, and my piercings. I’ve never received compliments because it’s a rare and distinct fragrance, not suitable for blind buys or men with fragile noses who might find something stronger than Invictus Aqua off-putting. You have to give it time and learn to love this armoured scent; it’s not love at first sniff.

  • It’s the most long-lasting one I own, even compared to beasts like Club de Nuit Oud. Smells of pure leather, powerful and direct. I wear it with my leather jacket, Iron Maiden tees, and my piercings. Not for blind buys or sensitive noses like Invictus Aqua. It needs time to develop and you have to learn to love this smoky scent; it’s not love at first sniff.
