Burning rubber! Yes, that’s exactly what it smells like. Photorealistic in its similarity. 10/10 for its resemblance to a barricade on the street. Would I use it? I don’t think so.

  • The opening, as the fellow commenter noted, leans slightly towards an F1 race car, with a strong leather note that borders on rubbery, but I also perceive an integrated rich olive scent. After a while, that initial punch settles and flirts with citrus, which are likely the refined and sharpest notes of the ylang-ylang. Eventually, it settles into a softened base of olive, suede, oud, and little woods; dry yet sweetened and relieved by the infused green tones; a deep green like its bottle, and a soft amber hue. In short, it is an evolving fragrance, playful and bold, not going where you expect at first but following a rather enchanting and frankly elegant, genuine, and timeless drift. Perhaps it is not perfectly rounded, and these notes do not fit together as seamlessly as other leather-oud blends whose names I would rather not recall, but moreover, it is now available at a price even more delicious and tempting than the fragrance itself. Simply excellent. In fact, I am wearing it right now in almost summer temperatures and I am loving it; it does not overwhelm. The opening is a beast, but for the rest of the time it is not; it settles into something soft, refined, and elegant with that atypical aspect within its own nature, sweetened suede. Very interesting.

In the end, it leaves that attenuated base of olive, suede, oud, little woods, dry yet at the same time sweetened and relieved with infiltrated green tones; dark green like its packaging, and a soft amber tone. Perhaps it is not perfectly rounded nor do the notes fit together perfectly, it is not a perfectly assembled oud leather like others whose names I do not wish to recall, but furthermore, it is now available at an even more delicious and tempting price than the fragrance itself. Everything is excellent. Moreover, I am wearing it right now with almost summer temperatures and I am loving it, it does not saturate. • Lattafa Qaa’ed Al Shabaab: Within the world of leathers, for my taste, this is one of the finest, if not the very best. It features a prominent leather note reminiscent of the interior of a luxury Lexus. The oud adds an eccentric touch, while the amber provides a warmth that blends perfectly with the woods, topped with a superb smoky note. In my opinion, it is a fragrance of strict and serious personality, demonstrating self-sufficiency and confidence. It is not for everyone; it is for powerful men, for an intelligent, quiet, observant, sincere, and responsible individual who stands out professionally and socially. I have loved it. Scent: 10. Projection: Good. Longevity: 8 hours, 4 hours on skin. Recommended if you enjoy animalic leather scents that are majestic and commanding.

Smells like rubber, like a brand new car, and lasts easily for 6 hours. Synthetic? Well, to me it smells synthetic. But I hope it never runs out.

  • Spectacular fragrance, very much in the line of Montal’s Cuir d’Arabie and similar to Gucci Guilty Absolute. On my skin, it behaves wildly, so beware of over-applying. The bottle quality and presentation are top-notch. Little more to add: it’s perhaps not a very versatile scent, but if you like the perfumes mentioned, they fall into that category. Smells like a leather chupa worn by rockers in the 90s.

  • It smells exquisite, and I think they are right to speak of sports car seat leather or the scent reminiscent of rubber, but be careful; this does not mean it smells plastic by any means. It shares the same DNA as the original Qaa’ed, but with a now darker formula. EDIT: Okay, upon use, I realised it does have good longevity and trail, and when combined with another fragrance from the spectrum (leather, woods, oud, etc.), it smells quite good. Personally, I combined it with Lattafa Velvet Oud and Gucci Guilty Absolute, and it was a bomb.

  • There are so many reviews it gives one a bit of a whiplash but this smells like a new car made into a men’s fragrance: leather petrol engine freshly cut seats and woods. It’s made for vehicle enthusiasts those who love to get their hands dirty and modify their machines. Cars have their own aromatic DNA: leather seats fuel oils that clean-waxed freshness rubber and woods. If you have a mid-to-high-range car like a Jaguar XJR 2000 it’s even more potent. It smells brilliant when you’re inside; it fits anyone from ‘Fast and Furious’. It’s similar to Dior Fahrenheit but stripping away everything else and leaving only that smell of new tyres with a less refined animalic oud a tiny touch of fuel that’s rare but addictive like the interior of a new Jaguar in a dealership. It recalls cured leather seats or when you leave a leather jacket in the car after a pine and cedar mill; that scent sticks to you and permeates you. It’s fresh clean floral with woods a resinous touch and perhaps petrol. The fixative and longevity are enormous; it lingers on clothes for days. It smells rich with a future assured. It’s not for teenagers or children.

  • It smells exquisite, and I believe they are right in speaking of sports car seat leather, or the scent reminiscent of rubber, but beware, this does not mean it smells plasticky at all. It shares the same DNA as the original Qaa’ed, but with a now darker formula. Personally, I combined it with Lattafa Velvet Oud and Gucci Guilty Absolute, and it is a bomb.

Let’s start with the bottle. The presentation is very attractive, featuring a brown faux-leather cylinder box with embossing, lined in velvet where the bottle sits snugly, with a design reminiscent of the Icon Dunhill, complete with a textured cap and surface to prevent slipping. It is very well finished, though the material is plastic (too much plastic for my taste). The container and packaging are good, but the design and materials do not match Western standards. The fragrance itself is wonderful, evolving as you wear it with changing nuances. Longevity is very long and the trail is gigantic; two sprays are sufficient for the whole day, with everyone perceiving your scent and generating compliments, offering a luxurious aroma different from the market. Compared to Guerlain Cuir Intense, it follows the same path using the same notes, smelling similar but calibrated to a darker tone, with longer longevity and trail. The reason I chose Guerlain is the leather scent, which is very intense there and almost non-existent in this Lattafa version (I cannot locate it; I will continue studying it, but in Guerlain, wonderful leather appears within seconds). In conclusion: it is a perfume similar to Guerlain Cuir Intense, calibrated to a darker and more potent tone for a much lower price. However, I prefer Guerlain due to its magnificent leather scent, which is almost absent in this Lattafa version and is what made me fall in love with Cuir Intense. Furthermore, there is nothing to compare regarding the presentation, design, and finishes of Guerlain, which are far superior to Lattafa, which is good but uses more economical materials and a more Oriental design that does not appeal to Western tastes.

  • The perfume has good quality, but the issue is that the leather scent is overwhelming, reminiscent of shoe polish. It is a mixture of those two notes with something akin to floor wax and mild petrol. Personally, I find it pleasant, but it is not a fragrance designed to generate compliments.

  • naso_en_ciernes

Sweet, floral, and leather, in that order from least to most intense. It is leather, lots of it—semi-finished leather, nothing like the sterile scent of Tom Ford Ombre Leather; this smells like genuine natural leather. It is a potent, intense fragrance made for leather accord enthusiasts. It is strictly for men who appreciate long-lasting scents, offered at a laughable Lattafa price point from their budget line. It is akin to Aramis leather fragrances, which are distinct, more classic, and less overtly leathery. Be careful with sprays in enclosed spaces; this is for mature individuals who do not chase compliments and simply wish to enjoy leather without compromising. Also not suitable for spring or summer as it is too heavy. The Qaa’ed line is flawless; none of its three options disappoint.

Definitely not for everyone, and I would never recommend buying it blindly: it has a strong presence, authority and power, ideal for sending a leadership message. You need to measure your sprays carefully, as overdoing it can come across as harassment, not just personally but towards everyone. With a lasting power that easily exceeds eight hours, I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone under 30; personally, I consider it a mature fragrance best worn with formal attire, pairing well with colours such as black, navy or Oxford grey.

  • luislaguelles

Beautiful leather case and nice bottle. It is the most abrupt leather perfume, reminiscent of rubber and tyre tread as many suggest. Excellent performance in longevity and projection. A quality-to-price ratio worthy of having in your collection and noticeable.

Beautiful leather case. Nice bottle. It is the very abrupt leather fragrance, reminiscent of rubber, tyre rubber as many indicate. Great performance in longevity and projection. Quality/price ratio, worthy of having in a collection and visible.

  • If you want to smell of burnt rubber and shoe polish, this is for you. I recommend it solely for its presentation… luxurious and at that price point.

It’s a leather scent that screams pure, unadulterated masculinity. I rarely try Arab dupes as they usually leave me indifferent, but this Qaa’ed Al Shabaab caught my eye thanks to its intriguing reviews. It was a blind buy that paid off, as I know my own tastes (and I’m only 23). My high expectations were met: I always recommend getting to know yourself before making a blind purchase. It smells like a leather blend reminiscent of Guerlain’s Cuir Intense and Gucci Guilty Absolute; many describe it as ‘burnt rubber’ or ‘mechanic’s workshop’, and it’s easy to see why: it’s not the clean leather of Tom Ford, but rather a dirty, aggressive, and masculine scent, perfect for wearing with confidence. The performance is excellent for the price: it lasts over eight hours on my skin, projects well for four, then settles into a personal bubble. Ideal for cold weather and formal, elegant, or rugged outfits (leather jacket). Scent 10/10, longevity 10/10, projection 10/10, sillage 10/10. Would I recommend it? If you’re a leather lover and enjoy Dior Fahrenheit or Gucci Guilty Absolute, you’ll surely adore this.

A leather scent that screams pure, unadulterated masculinity. I rarely buy Arab dupes as they usually leave me indifferent, yet Qaa’ed Al Shabaab caught my eye thanks to its intriguing reviews. I bought blind and got it right: I know my own tastes (I’m 23 years old) and the expectations were fully met. If you’re going to buy blind, know your own nose and keep an open mind. It smells like a leather blend reminiscent of Guerlain’s Cuir Intense and Gucci Guilty Absolute. Many say it smells of burnt rubber or a mechanic’s workshop, and they’re right: it’s not the elegant leather of Tom Ford, but rather a dirty, aggressive, masculine scent perfect for wearing with confidence. • You spray this and stop walking; you stride. Every step is a calculated act of luxury, as if the air itself owes you respect. You stand in the garden of an imaginary aristocrat and the crowd worships you like the man who won an election without making a single promise. Ordinary perfumes seek approval. Here, there is no ‘I like your scent’. There is empire. ‘Why endure when I smell like an ordinary night with Aristotle Onassis?’ I don’t care about the crumbs; I know I am an oil sheikh leaving trails of power and desire, while the universe bows before my perfumed silhouette. Perhaps this is what Darth Vader would smell like if, amidst his imperfect clones, he remembered he is still a man: dominant, dark, with a princess laid low. Too much power for a mortal. Too much perfume for such a small world.

  • javier cabeza de perfume

This perfume is polarising: personally, I didn’t like it, but it’s a matter of taste. Value for money is excellent. Scent: very distinctive; it doesn’t smell like oud as Badee or Qiam Gold do, but rather like petrol and shoe polish, with a chemical note that gave me a slight headache. It’s not a bad fragrance, just for special tastes, masculine and mature, without seeking others’ approval. Longevity: very good, around eight hours on skin and more than a day on clothes, with phenomenal fixative qualities. Projection: decent for the first hour, then more intimate, lasting up to five hours on skin. 8/10. I wouldn’t give it a 10 purely due to personal preference. Ideal for those over 30, on formal occasions or with a leather jacket at night (not for a date, for heaven’s sake). I don’t recommend buying it blindly or if you’re under 18. If you do use it, apply it cold or you’ll get a headache, and avoid over-spraying as I did. To reiterate: this perfume isn’t designed to please others, but the buyer.
