  It’s a fusion of GG Absolute, Raghba Wood Intense and CH Men Privé; it smells of smoke, woods and arboreal vegetation, with leather, a touch of saffron, a medicinal and domesticated oud, perhaps a very faint animalic trail. It’s dry, ascetic and purely masculine. It doesn’t project much, but it’s noticeable halfway down the arm. Elegant, dark and mature; ideal for cold days, dates and for projecting natural seriousness and authority in the workplace. In that setting, three sprays are sufficient. Good work from Dunhill; the bottle is heavy and beautiful, and the liquid is dense and dark.

It’s dry, ascetic and purely masculine. It doesn’t project much, but it’s noticeable halfway down the arm. It’s elegant, dark and mature. Ideal for cold days, dates and for projecting natural seriousness and authority in the workplace; there, just three sprays are enough. Good work from Dunhill; the bottle is heavy and beautiful, and the liquid is dense and dark.

  Without a doubt, the best of all my perfumes: exquisite. It has a masterful leather accord; to my nose, it’s very iris-forward (though iris isn’t listed on the datasheet), with clear touches of iris and violet that combine perfectly. The longevity is medium-long. Its only flaw is the projection, which is a bit poor.

  More woody than leathery, dry with a hint of liquor; floral notes are noticeable. It’s a very well-made fragrance, masculine but unpretentious, accessible and designed to please, leaning more towards designer than niche. It’s fair to say it’s not Imaginary Authors, though I expected something more purposeful; for instance, Zaharoff Signature Leather Tabac is similar but rougher and more characterful. To put it in perspective, it’s like Bentley for Men Intense: it conveys that ‘mature and confident’ man who knows he’s powerful yet will still be well-liked. I was disappointed by the projection: although it lasts quite a while in your personal bubble, after a few hours you have to hunt for the scent to locate it.
