  1. It has become one of my favourites. It’s masculine, dark, and a jewel that dresses you in mysterious luxury.

Chopard’s gothic freak darkness. Don’t be alarmed by comparisons with Gucci Guilty Absolute; they aren’t the same. Here you have soft leather and smoke, a masterpiece by the great Morillas at his peak. It’s not as sweet as Ferragamo Intense Leather, and its incense base is interesting—no damp churches or thurible smoke. It’s masculine, winter, and nocturnal, not for those seeking compliments. Projection is weak to moderate, and the price is reasonable. If you like darkness with leather, smoke, and incense, give it a sniff.

Black Incense Malaki has nothing to do with Guilty Absolute. That one is rough, woody, and fuel-like; this is polished, sweet, and spiced leather with potent woods and incenses. It starts intense and smoky, then the incenses soften and the woods emerge, keeping the resinous sweetness. Ideal for lovers of intense, incensed, and woody scents. It’s for winter nights. It’s not 100% masculine; a sexy woman could also wear it for evening encounters. The only flaw is poor performance on my skin: it projects well for two hours, then drops significantly, though not to skin scent.

  4. An exquisite perfume for lovers of sweet incense, unisex, mysterious, elegant, and with a nocturnal vibe. Frankincense dominates, flanked by leather and a woody base. The trail is good for the first two hours, then fades until it lasts about 10 hours.
