Compared to Sauvage EDT, which feels very refined, metallic, and spicy, I find this one more synthetic, citrusy, and soapy. It does resemble it, yes, but if you analyse it closely, you’ll notice they are very different.

  • Perhaps it’s because I don’t own the original or simply because I don’t like the DNA, but that spicy note doesn’t win me over; I don’t find it pleasant or attractive. While it has good skin longevity and decent projection for the price ($20), it’s a bargain and a marvel for anyone who likes Sauvage. It feels very soapy in its drydown, which is better than the opening, which leaves much to be desired. It’s a good perfume for those who like the DNA, I think. Scent 5/10, Longevity 7/10, Projection 7/10, Price 8/10.

  • When I first bought it, it didn’t last, but after a month it started lasting and projecting well. I absolutely love this DNA; it’s very versatile and pleasant to the nose.

A rich fragrance. Although no perfume has managed to clone Sauvage EDT exactly, this Maison Alhambra does so exceptionally well. Earthy, aromatic, anise, lavender, pepper… a treasure of a fragrance. Almost beast mode performance.

  • Jaime Ramírez

Definitely buy Armaf’s Window Pour Homme; it’s almost identical to Sauvage EDT and feels high quality; in fact, it lasts much longer on the skin than the original and projects more.

I owned it. I bought it along with the other two Salvo versions, Intense and Elixir. The purchase was for about 50 euros in total for all three bottles. I bought them to get the olfactory experience of getting closer to the originals. The experience proved valuable, even positive, to the point that, shortly after, I ended up buying the Sauvage EDT, EDP, and Elixir, plus a miniature of the Parfum. I must be emphatic: while these Salvo Intense, EDP, and Elixir versions correctly imitate the scents they copy, there are obvious differences: none manages to capture 100% of the same aromas they attempt to plagiarise. None possesses the aromatic quality of the three scents they try to reproduce; these fakes are noticeable from their opening right through to their fade-out, feeling of lower quality. This is mainly noticeable in three notes: in the Salvo EDP and Intense versions, the lavender and bergamot are extremely synthetic and alcoholic. In the Salvo Elixir version, the vanilla evokes an extremely synthetic vanilla essence, the kind used in baking for cakes. Versus the Sauvage Elixir, where the vanilla is a creamy, lactonic delight, soft yet present and very natural. Regarding performance, they don’t even come close to competing with Dior’s. None of them do. In summary, these ‘Salvo’ fragrances are cheap scents that smell like cheap fragrance. But they do turn out to be a good opportunity to get a superficial introduction to the aromas of Dior’s original line.

Fantastic fragrance; the best Dior Sauvage EDT dupe, buy blind without a doubt.

  • Comunidad Organizada

Oh my goodness, what a gem! First off, it’s the Dior Parfum dupe, so that opening mandarin note instantly clears up any doubts. Excellent fragrance at a super accessible price, about 90% similar to the original, with beastly performance nowadays: 7 to 8 hours on skin, moderate projection for the first two hours (a proper 4×4). Buy it if you like the Sauvage DNA without hesitation; it’s insane, incredibly underhyped, and you really need to grab it while you can!

  • everardo_guerrero

I don’t mean to be harsh on the fragrance, but honestly, over time it has become so unpleasant. It’s about 80% similar to Sauvage, but keep in mind its opening is very sharp, very citrusy but ‘acidic’ to the nose. It reminds me of a mix of smells: a product my mother used as a degreaser to clean the stove and a dishwasher detergent. The drydown is where it resembles Sauvage most, reaching up to 90%. I bought it and my initial reaction wasn’t bad; it was only when I decided to wear it again that it became unpleasant. So far, my best choice for a Sauvage dupe would be Armaf’s Window, although I haven’t tried Club de Nuit Urban Man Elixir to make a final decision.

  • Just to clarify, I haven’t tried the original Sauvage, so I’m reviewing this as if it were a standalone scent. I find it odd, like a constant mix of things with a strange smell; I suppose it’s the ambroxan. Honestly, I can’t quite convince myself that I like it; it smells like soap with spices. Those who enjoy this style will love it, but it’s not really my thing. It cost me about $12 and is great value. It doesn’t last too long, but it’s not a dealbreaker given how cheap it is: about 5 hours longevity with a very strong projection in the first hour. It’s quite clean and soft, not annoying, although the opening is very sharp and can be a bit overwhelming. It’s a clean soap scent with some spices, and the ambroxan is noticeable. There’s a hint of vanilla at the base, though it’s subtle. I don’t find it youthful; I think there are better options from the same house. It’s a good choice only for those who like this type of aroma; if not, don’t bother trying it. Personally, I don’t find the smell horrible or bad, just not my style, although you might get used to it over time. Scent 6.5/10, Longevity 6/10, Price 10/10, Versatility 8/10.

  • Band 😂 I’m sad about this perfume. I like the smell a lot because it’s like Sauvage, just less strident and less clean. However, when I wear Sauvage my sister says it smells like Alpha Male, but with this she told me it smells weird, like an old, woody man 😂😂. I don’t know the laughter and sadness it gave me; it really brought me down and I don’t want to use it anymore, although the good thing is I’m finishing the bottle. I like the scent but after that I don’t think I’ll buy it again; it was my alternative to Sauvage 😞

  • I’m making this review super brief: perfumes smell different from nose to nose, so smelling them yourself is key. Salvo EDP and Sauvage EDT smell exactly the same on top and dry down. Although the DNA alone doesn’t kill me, this dupe is so well made that honestly, it’s not worth buying the original, especially if you don’t have much budget. Although the longevity isn’t the same, I don’t care much if it lasts 5-6 hours if the scent is worth it. Super versatile.

  • lalotafoya

Sauvage with a much sharper and more intense citrus. Atomize Sauvage on one wrist and Salvo on the other, and there’s no way to justify paying $150 in Mexico for the Dior version when you have this more intense and punchy version for $20. It’s worth much more than you pay and you get that versatile, fresh DNA that girls like.

  • Cazaputas42

I bought it for the Sauvage DNA and it’s very well made, although a professional perfumer would notice small differences. If you’re looking for something for everyday wear, don’t hesitate. It’s perfect for daily use.

  • For the price and what it offers, it’s a more than decent perfume. It performs well and doesn’t smell artificial. Obviously, it’s not a 1:1 with Dior, but it costs five or six times less and is perfect for everyday wear. I paid £13 and I’m satisfied.

  • molletmod.73

A shameless knock-off, third-rate low-cost, almost bargain-basement, of the celebrated Dior Sauvage, released by a copycat sub-label. This Salvo is not redundant; today it’s a scent heard more often than the urine of living beings, more cloned than Creed Aventus and more ubiquitous than human stupidity. They copy even the bottles, and there are still glib reviewers giving credence to things like this.

  • To sum up, as everyone says in the comments, it’s very similar to Sauvage at a very economical price.

  • Kris Corvett

Spectacular low-cost perfume with great performance. For the price and aromatic quality, I wouldn’t spend twelve times more on the original. A must-buy if you like the Sauvage DNA, buy blind and it’s a spectacular gift. A 10/10.

  • It’s incredible that they demand quality from perfumes costing £150-200 from one costing $20. Of course, it doesn’t have the same aromatic quality as Dior, but for rotating or daily use, it’s a bomb. If you have 60 designer perfumes, this will seem like just another clone to you, but for not spending too much, it’s a bargain. Note after 2 months: the top note is no longer so sharp and it smells softer and more balanced. I see it as ideal for spring-summer daytime wear.

  • Well, with Salvo existing, I don’t see the need to buy Sauvage, at least in my case. Ideal for daily use, very well crafted and balanced, with a fragrance that lasts and projects. Elegant and striking, highly recommended and among Maison’s offerings, it’s the best quality I’ve tried.

  • carlos_reyes

I tried several Sauvage clones and this is, without a doubt, the one that comes closest, even if it’s not an exact copy nor matches Dior’s quality. At $15-20, it beats cheap imitations like Zara’s. It has the Sauvage DNA but with a different, pleasant citrus top note and a base of ambroxan, vanilla, and lavender that is enchanting. ⌚Longevity: about 6 hours, very good for the price, though on skin it fades until it disappears by the seventh hour. 💨Projection: not a beast mode, noticeable at a metre, but anyone who gets close will smell it. 🍃Sillage: moderate, at most 50 cm. 😉Reactions: yes, it’s attractive and people will certainly ask what you’re wearing. Worth it if you’re looking for that popular scent without spending too much. I’ve had it for a month and don’t notice any changes after opening, but perhaps with more time it will improve.

  • Excellent, very similar to Sauvage EDT, fresh, cheap, with a clean scent. If I were starting the collection from scratch, I wouldn’t hesitate to have this for every day.

  • If you haven’t tried Sauvage, let me tell you that this Salvo is rich, fresh, a bit talc-y for any occasion. It didn’t bring me compliments but everyone who smelled it liked it. It’s not for smelling different, but it doesn’t look bad in any occasion, it smells clean like freshly ironed clothes. It feels like a ‘expensive’ perfume, I’d say it resembles Antonio Banderas’ The Icon a bit, but this is more neat.

  • I bought it based on the reviews and I think it’s the worst perfume I’ve tried. It just smells of lavender and that initial citrus, which is more acidic and tickles my nose. I even tried using it as a deodorant for the sofas, but my wife hates it more than I do.

  • Say what you will, Sauvage is liked by most and that’s what’s sought. Salvo is a more toned-down intensity, of inferior quality, but I’d say it’s more versatile. Pleasant and clean, women like it quite a bit. I don’t know why so many are bothered by the latter; personally I use everything without complexes. I recommend it if you don’t mind smelling the same as everyone else and are looking for something versatile. Scent 5/10, I like it but it’s not new or complex. Longevity 8/10, what’s expected in an EDP, 6-7 hours. Projection and trail 8/10, I prefer it over the original in this aspect.

  • It seems closer to the Parfum version, with an orange mandarin opening. Very similar to that metallic and sweet smell, with very orangey citrus like segments. It projects well for the first three hours, you can’t stop smelling it. Then it settles to skin level, just like the original, so as an economical option to test if it suits your skin, it’s a good buy. Edit: it lasted much longer; you stop noticing it, but at seven hours people told me they could still smell it, so it has a trail.

  • A decent option for everyday wear at a ridiculous price (100ml for €17), but don’t expect performance on par with Sauvage. I find it weak. It does the job, so I’d recommend buying it at least to get familiar with the DNA.

  • Mariano G Blanco

I must confess that at first it didn’t grab me. I used it a couple of times and it wasn’t for me, so I put it away and almost forgot about it for a month. But something curious happened: upon returning to it, it seemed to have matured in silence. That fresh, clean, carefree scent, almost a cousin to Sauvage EDT, finally began to make sense. For the price, I think it deserves a chance.

  • Wow, I was hugely surprised to receive this via an exchange! It has that familiar Sauvage EDP reminiscence, and the essence is captured very well. It doesn’t smell synthetic, though the projection is a bit weak and I’m still testing the longevity. It’s super versatile, perhaps not for days over 30 degrees, but at 26° it’s brilliant. A delightful experience, 8/10. Edit: after a month it became my signature, with countless compliments and good longevity. It doesn’t tire me at all. 10 absolute and more for the price, buy it now.

  • Smells too much like Sauvage, but the vanilla base lacks creaminess and depth, leaving it flat with no evolution. If you’re sensitive, three or four sprays are enough; more will tire your nose and feel uncomfortable. Not ideal for the office as it overwhelms the room; better suited for outdoor dates where people lean in. 8/10.

  • Forget this pretentious review that fails to tell the truth. It’s like saying Leo Messi doesn’t deserve the Ballon d’Or. Yes, Salvo resembles it and MUCH. It’s a literal shot-for-shot match in look and smell. Of all the clones, this is the closest to the original, even more wearable and fresher. It isn’t as heavy on ambroxan or as salty/dense as the Dior. Although I don’t detect the declared vanilla, I sense the ambroxan supported by the lavender which gives it character. It’s not natural; it’s synthetic, just like the Sauvage. We are enthusiasts and we know it’s not niche perfume nor the blood of Vlad Tepes’ victims in a hut. At this stage, the best is to find cheap options, and this is the best. It will be a recurring purchase.

  • A perfect clone, practically a carbon copy of a fragrance suitable for any occasion and season (if you handle the sprays well). Performance is close to the original (very high) at a ridiculous price. That’s the summary. Of the three Salvos, this is the most accomplished, the one that best replicates the Sauvage EDT. The Intense isn’t quite as well done, and the Elixir lacks depth. I’m not saying the others aren’t advisable given the price, but this is better. Personally, I don’t like the DNA of the Sauvage flankers, but if I had to blindly recommend a perfume to an unknown man, without knowing his age, personality, climate, or budget, I’d tell him to go straight for this Salvo EDP. Scent: 7.5, Projection: 8.5, Longevity: 8.

  • Horrible opening with a cleaner smell, quickly transitioning to soapy lavender with an anise note. It lasts five hours before fading to ambroxan with a subtle vanilla, very pleasant. Eventually, it disappears as if you never wore it. After five months: softer opening, less sharp but alcohol is still present. The lavender is less soapy, pepper emerges, and combined with ambroxan gives a metallic touch. I preferred the soapy version, but it’s not suffocating like Club de Nuit. The anise and barbershop vibe are still there. Surprisingly long-lasting and projecting. I sprayed it at 10 AM and a colleague noticed me outdoors by 5 PM. The vanilla fades a bit but remains. It’s a fantastic fragrance, unbeatable for the price. It has flaws: very linear and synthetic, but incredible for what it delivers. Beware of overspray; it can easily blind your nose. Four or five sprays are perfect. I’m surprised they call it ‘fuckboy’; to me, it smells mature, almost 30+. Very versatile, though I wouldn’t wear it alone in extreme heat (35°C) as the metallic note becomes suffocating. Otherwise, it’s suitable for everything.

  • Enrique1991

The best clone of Sauvage EDT. Salvo is almost identical to Dior, with excellent longevity on skin and clothes. You can’t ask for more at this price. Forget other options like Urban Elixir; this is the one you want if you’re after the exact DNA of Sauvage EDT.

  • Fresh and masculine, perfect for everyday wear. It leans more towards the EDT than the EDP. For the price, it’s more than good enough. Edit: a week later, it’s still projecting massively and lingering on clothes. Brilliant.

  • It smells exactly like Armaf Magnificent Blue, which is a dupe of Sauvage Very Cool. I wear it on both hands, and once it dries, there’s no difference; they’re twins. The good news is I got this one for $17. If you already own one, don’t waste money on the other as they are the same thing in different bottles.

  • It’s a clone of Sauvage EDT with touches of mandarin from the Parfum version and incredible quality. It lasts 10-12 hours on the skin, which is amazing for around £20. You only notice the mandarin if you wear it alongside the original. Maison Alhambra has some real gems for the price. Note: don’t confuse it with the Intense; I wouldn’t recommend that one. In short, a safe buy.

  • Maximum versatility! If Sauvage were a car, this would be a Toyota Hilux 98: rugged, no frills, and built to go forward. It’s almost identical; you wouldn’t notice the difference. For work? Yes. For casual outings? Absolutely. For a date? A resounding yes! It’s for everything. Like that friend who waits to play but when they do, they do it well. My girlfriend hunts me down for this like a bloodhound, and it makes me look like a god.

  • chaperonas

Don’t give up on the initial soapy opening; it’s just that. Then it explodes just like Dior Sauvage EDT, with brutal projection and longevity for such a low price (around £20 for 100ml). The dry-down is similar, though the ambroxan doesn’t suit me personally. If you like Sauvage, this is a must.
