Why do people say it smells like cinnamon? Does it actually contain cinnamon, or is it the combination of notes that creates that scent? Does the vanilla overpower the tobacco, or is the tobacco still noticeable?

  • salvadorgallard22

SIMPLY FABULOUS; it lasts basically all day, it is EXACTLY LIKE Tom Ford, and the sillage is the best; you can feel it as soon as you enter a place and it leaves your scent all the way through.

  • I’ve had it for very little time; I bought it because I tested a sample and the tobacco note caught my attention. It’s not for daily use; it’s very dense and heavy, but I was surprised by the resemblance to the original; I’d say 95%. If they copy the presentation and the bottle, it’s worth every penny: for less than $60 I have almost the same perfume that costs $300. I’m not even a little ashamed to have it in my dressing table; besides, who cares if they are clones or not?

  • The declared notes are the most representative, but not all of them, so it could carry cinnamon; we just don’t know for sure.

Hello, the top notes are spicy and tobacco; the heart notes are vanilla, tobacco, cocoa, and tonka bean; the base notes are nuts and wood. Even though it’s a clone, the original has higher-quality components, of course. I was gifted it recently and it lasts a long time, until the next day. I detect tobacco, the spices, and the tonka bean; at the start, the spices sting, and then the other notes come through. It’s thick, ideal for cold days and especially for evening wear; it projects a lot and lasts. It depends on everyone’s pH. Be careful, some people smell medicine (and if you find that nice, great), but it doesn’t give me headaches. Be aware, you must test it on blotter paper and on clean skin without any other perfume, because everything mixes and it won’t work. Take a shower, use soap, go to the shop, try it, and decide. Be aware, it smells different in the shop, but at home it’s due to the pH, haha.

For me, it’s a good clone of Tobacco Oud from the Private Collection, rather than Tobacco Vanille, which is why many people notice the cinnamon that is present in the original. We’ll see what happens with the rumours that they are removing it due to Tom Ford’s lawsuit.

  • I haven’t tried the original Tom Ford, so I can’t compare, but Tobacco Touch by Maison Alhambra has a lot of potency and smells like cough syrup.

  • I absolutely loved it. I wasn’t even looking for it, but once I tried it on my skin, I went crazy. I wore it to work with just a few drops and got inundated with compliments. Just be careful not to overdo it, as it can become invasive.

  • I’ve tried several Tobacco Vanille clones, and this is the closest one. I’ve had it for seven months and I’m halfway through the bottle; I’ll definitely buy it again. The tobacco comes out strong at first, but within minutes it turns sweet and creamy. The longevity and sillage are brutal; it lasts more than a week on my clothes.

  • In my opinion, it is sweeter and I notice more vanilla than the Tom Ford one, which I smell drier and with more tobacco. It is a good perfume, but I like the original more for the quality of the notes, although I think it is more versatile (Tobacco Touch). I see it more for autumn and winter. For me, it has 70% resemblance to the original.

  • It is divine. Yes, in the opening it smells like medicine, but it lasts a couple of minutes and then unfolds. As a fan of cinnamon, I am delighted; it smells most like that. The scent is very pleasant, perfect for Christmas without being cheesy. It has lots of cloves, some tobacco when bringing the nose close, and vanilla. It happened to me like with the previous review: I wasn’t looking for it and it has left me like this 😳😳😳😳 of how good it smells. Now I await to see how it evolves, but I think I have found my fragrance. I like it a lot in contrast to Fabulous Intense from this house, which put me off horribly. EDIT: I have already bought the second bottle. What a good scent; if you get it, do not think about it twice, and even less if you like sweetish but not cloying scents.

  • A sweet tobacco. Tobacco Touch is purely tobacco, vanilla, and cocoa. I have liked it quite a bit, but in the opening it is perceived as a syrup. Not harassing or cloying, just give it time and it will do its magic.

  • Putting aside that it is a brazen clone of Tom Ford, let’s talk about what it smells like: Strong spicy opening of sweetened tobacco with cloves and cinnamon covering the start. There is a bit of pepper that makes it spicy. The tobacco is the classic chewable, very peppery, but the sweetness of the vanilla lowers it well. Nuts appear as it develops, along with woody base notes. The cocoa is not predominant; it is bitter, not milky. The vanilla accompanies the entire evolution. It feels dusty, as if all the notes were ground up and dumped on you. The opening can be strong for the first 5 minutes, but it is a noble composition after 30 minutes. It shines in cool to cold climates, where the notes are felt better. Is it unisex? Yes and no; the opening is very masculine, but as it dries down it might be unisex, although I think it is very masculine. In terms of age, I do not see an 18-20 year old boy using it, although he can if he wants. It is a strong, heavy, and dense scent. Longevity: in my case it lasted longer than Tom Ford, which I appreciate. Very good projection, at arm’s length; heavy and lasting sillage. Does it emulate Tobacco Vanille? It does not do it badly, it has the same intention and vibe. For the price, it is an excellent alternative. Even those who have the Tom Ford can use this for casual occasions and the original for special ones. The presentation of Tobacco Touch is impressive; the cap is low quality, but the bottle and atomiser are excellent. Would I buy it again? Of course. I consider it to have superior quality to Amber Oud Tobacco Edition, which is very sweet and sugary; this feels deeper and darker. It is not for blind buying; if you have tried Tobacco Vanille and liked it, you will likely like this too.

  • It is challenging. You have to give it time. The opening gives me nausea, it improves with time. You have to ‘give it a cool’ (autumn/winter), adjust the sprays, and use it at night. That way it does a good job. It is not an all-rounder; its use is limited to occasions.

I have never smelled Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. Edit: now (20/09/24) I have tried it at the duty-free in Merino Benítez airport; it is similar, perhaps 70%, but my inexperienced nose would say it does not reach 90%, rather <80% to be fair. It also does not smell like that 'Easter bread' mentioned below. This smells of soft but present tobacco, and less sweet than Tobacco Touch. To clarify, I am reviewing Tobacco Touch in the original unedited comment: Here in Chile (at least) there is a pudding called 'Easter bread' which is what it reminds me of: tobacco and tobacco leaves. It is not a bad smell; I, as an unknowledgeable person, thought it would smell like an ashtray, but quite the opposite! It is a sweet, vanillaised, elegant smell, with perfectly balanced tobacco notes, nothing to envy other designer fragrances 😀 10/10.

  • From Chile, I have been using it for a while and give you my summary: It is sweet. Upon spraying, it reminds me of red mouthwash and Oral-B, then Jagermeister. After a few minutes, cinnamon, lots of cloves, and a slight touch of vanilla. Do you get it? It smells like Easter bread. It has a slight tobacco smell, but there are other fragrances at the same price that do it better (go to Zara). It does not have much resemblance to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille (as YouTubers sell it); it is sweet and works in the cold (autumn/winter), but it is not for everyone. I do not recommend it blindly. Would I buy it again? Perhaps for personal enjoyment, not for public wear. Price: it cost me $15.990 (less than 20 dollars), do not buy it if it is more expensive. I hope this has been useful.

  • Scent: Essential to try it first (excellent for me). Longevity: +/- 8 hours. Projection: +/- 2 hours. Sillage: Soft to moderate. Versatility: Fresh, warm, and cool. Uses: Semiformal to formal (or casual to semiformal, subjectively). Context: I live in a tropical country and am accustomed to the smell of leaf tobacco (habano) and the spices in my cupboard (cinnamon, cloves, anise, etc.), familiar scents since childhood. Upon trying it, I felt the smell of my family; the sweet spices are pleasant. In the opening and middle, I detect a lot of clove and cinnamon; the tobacco is subtle and gains prominence towards the end, although it is not the most noticeable accord. It is not for everyone, but if you like these scents, you will love it. I am not saying it is the best spicy fragrance, nor that it resembles Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille (I haven’t tried it), but compared to Al Haramain’s Tobacco Edition, this has a more subtle tobacco and more prominent spices. It is for special occasions in cool to temperate climates (I have used it at 25°C). I wouldn’t use it on a first date; it can be heavy for others. I use it regularly in my circle, playing with authorisations. They are compliments of personal enjoyment, although with good clothes at a social gathering, perhaps you will get more. Very good performance for the price: 7 hours on skin with 5 sprays, 2 hours of projection, and moderate sillage that settles afterwards. With 9 sprays, I reach 3 hours of projection and 9 hours of longevity. If you accept that it is economical and learn to get the most out of it, it is a very good option. If you are a fanatic, buy the Tom Ford original. Is it synthetic? Yes. Is it original? No. Is it a good perfume for what you pay? A muuuy good perfume. Let us learn to enjoy this subjective world.

  • Julian37

Like most of the brand, it smells synthetic, but this is more passable than Toscano Leather. For the price, it does a good job mimicking Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, being 90-95% similar in scent (not quality). Still, for the cost, there are more original and better options; this is a cheap clone. It smells of black Cavendish tobacco with vanilla, almost like Planta’s ‘Black Vanilla’ pipe mix, but synthetic. Acceptable, but I wouldn’t recommend it for what you pay. Performance is good.

  • Mr. Blonde

I didn’t like it. It smells very synthetic, heavily of spices and incense, with nothing sweet for me. It’s not versatile, and I feel it suits someone much older.

  • It smells of clove, cinnamon, and Easter bread. I think the nutty notes are actually raisins. It smells like a boozy Christmas cookie. It’s not unpleasant, but I wouldn’t wear it. It has good longevity on me, though it feels a bit synthetic. I don’t understand why a perfume as expensive as Tobacco Vanille smells like this or something similar.

  • Iguanodondy

It can be described as a dentist’s office aroma due to the eugenol, which smells like dental amalgam. Initially, the clove scent is so intense it repels mosquitoes, but after 20 minutes, the vanilla makes it bearable. The spicy notes make me wonder if it should be called Clove Touch or Clove and Anise. The tobacco exists only in the name and the packaging, which has a nice texture. It’s a niche gourmand dental scent that sets you apart but doesn’t garner compliments; it’s for differentiation, not for being liked. Ideal for occasions where you want to be unique and send an intimidating message. Whoever wears this fears nothing, and that toothache-like scent is frightening. Pleasant only for smokers, dentists, Hispanic American socialist rulers, perfume lovers who don’t want to smell common, and useful as a repellent. P.S.: After macerating in the dark, the clove emerges and stays in the background, tobacco becomes the main note, vanilla softens it, and cocoa adds sweetness. It deserves a Tobacco Touch by M.A. or inspiration from Tobacco Vanille by T.F.

  • I hated it at first; the opening is intense and I didn’t like it, but once it dries down it’s not bad and can be pleasant at times. It’s about 80% similar to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille once dry; to be honest, in person it’s hard to tell the difference, though it’s a controversial fragrance. I think it’s only for cold weather and night; it’s very long-lasting with a moderate trail. The price is accessible; I got it for around $30. It’s not for everyone, as others say, but I keep experimenting. I’d give it an 8/10; it’s an affordable clone, but I recommend trying the original first before buying; don’t buy blind. I hope my opinion helps.

  • EnriqueSeguraJ

Just clove with a vanilla base for cooking; nothing more. It’s clove, not cinnamon like in so many perfumes. It’s not versatile, only for winter. If you already own Khamrah or Qahwa, this isn’t necessary. It smells strong even inside the bottle.

  • I had high hopes for this fragrance as an alternative to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille, but it smells awful. The scent is unpleasant, almost vomit-inducing, too overpowering, and the vanilla is completely absent; I only detect strong cinnamon with synthetic cloves. I’ll give it points for longevity as it clings and lingers, but I’ve never hated a perfume until now. This has secured a spot among the most unbearable scents I’ve ever encountered.

  • This Tom Ford Tobacco Vanilla is a beast when mixed with Maison Alhambra’s TABAC on your skin. Women will be clinging to you to smell it, and the compliments will come, believe me. The same goes for Dior’s Tobacolor and the pure Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford.

  • Perfumeropy

Very complimentary and warm, with maximum personality. It’s not for everyone, but it certainly turns heads. The scent is intense and garners plenty of compliments; it’s nothing ordinary. It has a heavy trail and strong projection in the first hour. Ideal for evening wear and cold weather. It invites people to come closer; I recommend it for dates. Opening with marked clove and tobacco dry down. Usage: casual dates, night, cold. Scent: 4/5. Projection: 4/5. Longevity: 4.5/5. For those over 25, it’s very pronounced. Recommended for dates.

  • Ren Majestic

Extremely cheap and almost identical to Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. It earns points for the price, but two things drag it down: the opening is an alcohol bomb, and the clove is overwhelming, ruining the balance. It smells of tobacco and vanilla, yes, but the clove dominates. That’s why I stick with the Amber Oud Tobacco Edition, which smells better. I wouldn’t buy the original TF; it’s ridiculously expensive.

  • Rebecca213

I received this fragrance today. Before I resisted buying it due to some comments. When I sprayed it, the clove came out alongside a strong, bitter and medicinal tobacco that repulsed me. But after a few minutes the magic happened: a sweet and warm aroma, where the vanilla and cocoa dance around the tobacco to make it creamy, friendly, elegant and addictive. I imagine it on cold nights, with dark clothing.

  • Exquisite, elegant and very refined. Ideal for men over 30 years old. Excellent longevity.

  • jerry drake

The original from years ago is a work of art, but the price is unattainable for the common person. This is the one that comes closest if you close your eyes and dream intensely, although it lacks nuances compared to the original. We are talking about different quality, without doubt, but if you’re looking for a dupe, go for this. It approaches Tom Ford and has decent longevity. At times it’s a bit acidic and there’s lots of clove, but otherwise it’s fine. For me, it doesn’t smell like Christmas properly, but like winter: comfort, warmth, refuge and inner peace. On the skin it smells especially well if you let it take its course. For the price, it’s more than well, but don’t buy it blindly; a sample to try several times would be useful, as many people probably won’t like it.

  • I like its aroma. The opening is good, it doesn’t invade, has good longevity and smells very particular.

  • CarlosMestre1978

I’ll just say this: Divine, enchanting, incredible… but beware, it’s for men over 35, nothing youthful. On my skin it lasts almost 10 hours and on clothes, days. If I mist it in the room, the scent lingers for days. It is my favourite fragrance.

  • I’ll be brief; I bought it blindly for the ingredients and was amazed. It has a light, soft leaf tobacco that combined with vanilla, nuts and tonka bean gives an exquisite blend. I recommend it for those over 35 who want to smell like a wild man; simply spectacular.

  • JavierSantana

@Freesoul What a disgusting comment. NOTHING justifies the price of Tom Ford, nor Creed nor Louis Vuitton nor many other brands, whether original or clone, real or not. There are people who know nothing about perfumery paying hundreds of euros for things not worth it, falling into the hype and buying blindly because ‘even if it’s expensive it’s worth it’, as if they were religious fanatics. Long live this cancer of the perfume industry.

  • Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille remains my king, and searching for its perfect clone has been an odyssey. Samples like Al Haramain’s are similar, of course, because after all it is tobacco and vanilla, but TF lacks something that makes it superior, richer and stickier; it has a spicy touch that makes it unique. I’ll tell you the truth: Maison Alhambra Tobacco Touch is literally the same, at 99%, except that at first it smells a bit more of alcohol and less natural. What a pity they reformulated it due to lawsuits and changed the image, it’s not the same anymore according to what I read. Luckily I managed to get the last ones before they ran out. 🥳😜

  • The perfume is excellent; it’s the sweet spot between quality and price, and the quality even surpasses the cost. It smells wonderful, lasts me more than 7 hours and is usually liked, although more by men than by women.

  • Emmanuel_Santos

I bought and used it, but I noticed the woody notes are very prominent, ruining the opening with a medicinal scent, like cough syrup with alcohol or Bayrum, something we know well here. As it dries down, it improves and becomes more pleasant, with that prominent wood, a touch of tobacco, raisins and spices, but I don’t sense the vanilla; I think it doesn’t have it. In summary, it’s better than Flavia’s, but it’s not a blind buy; for me, the Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco Edition is superior, with lightyears of difference in quality compared to Maison Alhambra.
