  • After smelling this fragrance, I fell in love at first sight. Theseus doesn’t generate a huge trail but lasts on the skin for hours; it has a fresh and slightly sweet aroma. It smells faintly citrusy, like a rainy day in a forest.

A magnificent perfume by Lorenzo Villoresi, undoubtedly, and one that could perfectly have served as inspiration for Eau Sauvage Parfum a year later. Theseus is like an Eau Sauvage Parfum, less citrusy and more dense, heavier. The vetiver here, combined with the florals, gives it a fougère and soapy aspect, but of great quality and class; the ingredients feel more natural, although olfactorily the result is very similar. Just as Theseus, hero and founder of Athens, this perfume is full of strength, vigour and character, and demands to be worn with a certain elegance and attitude. And obviously, its name already indicates it is a very masculine and manly scent, yet radiant like a Greek hero. High performance, and a good trail—it makes itself felt but without being intrusive. I loved it! Au revoir!

It’s strange there are no conifers here; it smells like turpentine, but not just any turpentine—a distant, nostalgic one, like in the corridors of Bellas Artes in Salamanca. Perhaps the citrus notes are misleading me. PS: vetiver on skin usually smells of turpentine to me, but here I sensed it on the blotter.
