Lovely! Smells of flowers with a sweet touch and a hint of almond. I use it to mix, just like all my body mists.
A pleasant fragrance with just the right amount of sweetness. I recommend it for everyday wear. After trying classics like Pure Seduction, Coconut Passion, Bare Vanilla and Love Spell, Velvet Petals will always be my favourite. It’s dedicated, sweet and a total success.
Not my favourite, nor do I love it, but it is nice. Most people smell flowers, but I detect it more like milk chocolate with a delicious glaze. As a body mist it doesn’t last long; of the ones I have, this seems to be the shortest. If applied to clothes or with cream, the longevity improves, though not much. It’s very feminine, soft and not cloying. I’d recommend it to someone who doesn’t get on with strong scents.
It’s the most beautiful of all the traditional ones. Feminine and delicate, floral with that milky and chocolatey touch. Unlike Shimmer, this smells more of candied almonds and is softer, whereas Shimmer is more chocolate and dry almond. In my opinion, this lasts longer than Shimmer. It leaves a trail, is noticeable and lingers on clothes. It’s very nice; I recommend it among the VS options if you like sweet scents that aren’t sharp like others.
It’s like the scent left after washing your hands with a floral soap. Short longevity and trail. It’s pleasant, sweet and slightly floral, but it’s not worth it unless you’re someone who just wants an extremely subtle aroma, because in reality you have to press your nose against the skin to feel it. Although as I said, it’s pleasant like a floral soap so with a soap you could achieve the same effect.
I love it; it smells of flowers combined with a very subtle almond dessert. This body mist is delicious, but its longevity doesn’t pass two and a half hours for me, although with the cream it exceeds three and a half hours.
The mist smells good, of flowers and vanilla. The longevity is scarce, to put it mildly. On my skin it didn’t last half an hour. For the price it has, it’s not worth it.
It’s a pleasant aroma; I use it to sleep because, all things considered, it’s soft and doesn’t last long, it’s more for me to feel it. I don’t detect the crackling they say it has; it’s sweet but not cloying, like a floral vanilla. It’s the one I liked most of all the Victoria’s Secret body mists.
It’s simply delicious. Very feminine, with just the right amount of sweetness and a velvety fragrance, it feels like a caress. Spectacular. I’d like the longevity to be greater.
It fulfils its function as a body mist perfectly: it doesn’t last long, but it’s ideal for use after a shower to keep you fresh. The fragrance is rich and feminine; it’s one of Victoria’s Secret’s best. I highly recommend it and it’s a safe option if you’re thinking of gifting perfume.
Chicxs! I recommend the Shimmer version of Velvet Petals much more. The notes are better developed and it has a more oily consistency, so it lasts much longer on clothes or hair.
Smells of sweet almonds and vanilla, absolutely delicious. I detect no floral notes at all. I’d love a perfume with the same scent that lasts for many hours. In my opinion, it is definitely Victoria’s Secret’s best fragrance.
Super feminine, huggable, clean and lovely. Flowers with a chocolate base, I think this is the best VS has to offer. Nothing pretentious but well-executed; I don’t think anyone would mind it. It’s 0% intrusive, striking yet discreet at the same time. A safe bet for a gift.
It’s sweet without being overpowering because it’s a body splash. The notes of almonds, praline and flowers are so well-blended they combine perfectly. On my skin it lasts quite a while, although I reapply every 3 or 4 hours. I love it; I have both the lotion and the Shimmer version.
A delicious little treat. Creamy, sweet and almond-y. I particularly use VS body mists after a bath before bed. This is one of my favourites for its sweetness and warmth. The floral touch adds femininity and delicacy. A good balance: feminine, warm, creamy and sweet. It makes me happy; it’s total relaxation.
To me, it smells of almonds, red flowers and milk; I detect a very milky scent, one of my VS favourites. It’s a pity it lasts nothing on my skin; after an hour the scent is gone. I bought a dupe perfume to reinforce it because I truly love it.
I’d like to find a perfume with the same scent, but one that lasts for many hours.
This body splash is very delicious: it smells clean, sweet, warm and floral, yet not too invasive. I like using it on warm days and after coming out of the bath.
I like sweet scents; this one is sweet to me, but I dislike the floral aspect because it smells quite synthetic. It’s not my favourite.
Very delicate and feminine, it smells of almond milk with a sweet touch, something creamy. Nothing invasive for everyday wear; all feminine women use this. I love it; good sillage and lasting power. The initial spray of VS body mists can be a bit alcoholic, but the dry-down is always worth it. I would buy it again to use every day; the best thing is its price and how easy it is to find.
Before, the sweetness was more noticeable; now the floral notes take centre stage with an almost imperceptible hint of sugar; it’s a super soft fragrance.
This mist is like a bouquet of flowers with warmth; the rose really shines and lasts longer than it should. I recommend it if you’re looking for something feminine and vanilla-infused without being cloying. NOTE: Velvet petals + Coach wild rose is, in my opinion, a perfect combination.
This body lotion is one of the richest available, super sweet. Honestly, I’d buy it again because its scent lasts quite a while.
A very pretty, feminine and soft perfume, perhaps too soft. It smells much sweeter than I expected from its notes; the almond and flowers blend with a vanilla-like quality I can’t quite explain, but it never becomes cloying. At first it’s quite alcoholic, but the dry-down makes it worthwhile: it’s my perfect fragrance; people always ask if I smell like pastries. My girlfriend loves it. I’m not an expert, but the longevity is poor… 1-2 hours on the skin? Very little projection; you have to hug someone to smell it.
I absolutely love it ♡ It smells like a little princess, and right after applying it, I get a burst of strawberry notes, hehe. Every time I wear it, people tell me I smell delicious or sweet; in fact, once someone said I smelled like those strawberry lip balm samples from the fun fair :p It makes me feel very feminine and sweet, I simply adore it :]
It smells very sweet and ‘maternal’, I don’t know why, haha, I suppose because my aunt always wears it. It’s a super recognisable scent at my school because all the girls smell like this perfume and Love Spell!!! 💕💕💕 I give it 9/10.
It smells very synthetic to me.
It has a very floral scent; for some reason, I perceive it as powdery or like rose petals. It’s very feminine, but the longevity is almost non-existent, making it my least favourite Victoria’s Secret fragrance.
I’m obsessed with the dry-down of this Body Mist, oh my goodness, what a wonderfully feminine and delicate scent. It’s addictive; you can’t stop smelling yourself. It’s a sweet floral fragrance with a special almond note. The downside is the longevity and projection, given it’s a Body Mist, but if there were a perfume version, I’d pay anything for this beauty. If anyone knows something that smells the same but lasts longer, please share the details!! I recommend it 100%.
Mainly a sweet floral fragrance. I detect a faint note of almonds. My thirteen-year-old daughter likes it because of the sweetness. The negative point is the longevity.
It’s a lovely, tender, delicate scent—a floral praliné with a chocolate note that I adore. However, the downside is that it smells FAR too light. It feels like water with a hint of fragrance; I can’t detect anything until I apply muuuuch too many drops. The longevity is ridiculous, lasting maybe 15 minutes at best, whereas other VS perfumes last two hours. That’s why I can’t recommend it, even though I like it. If anyone knows of a stronger flanker, like the Noir or Radiant versions, please let me know.
I’m not sure; the first time I read the notes, I’d already been wearing the perfume for a while and struggled to use it. At first, I only smelled vanilla and hated it so much that I put it up for sale, but nobody bought it. Until today, when I only smelled it on the cap, it no longer smells of vanilla and I love the praliné note. I always thought that since it’s called that, it should smell of chocolate, haha, now I understand. If there are petals, I don’t know which flower; I think the charm is the ambiguity and that deep, dark chocolate.
This is my favourite from this VS line. It smells of sweet almonds but isn’t as overpowering as Pure Seduction, nor as sugary as Coconut Passion. I feel it’s more original and special than the others. It doesn’t last long, but with the lotion it lasts longer. I also use the shower gel, so with the full set the scent lasts between 3 and 6 hours.
This is my favourite from this VS line. It smells of sweet almonds but isn’t as exaggerated as Pure Seduction, which is very fruity, nor like Coconut Passion, which is very sweet. I feel it’s more original and special than the others. It doesn’t last long, but with the lotion it lasts longer. I also use the shower gel, and with the full set I can indeed smell it for 3-6 hours.
I love it; it puts me in a good mood. I think it should have been called ‘Sweet Petals’ because that’s what I feel: sweet, fresh petals. When I wear it, I feel like a spoilt, cheerful little girl. Sometimes I use it to lighten up stronger perfumes. The only thing that pains me is how short the longevity is. I loved this fresh, sweet, floral style; I’ll look for another of this type but with better staying power. Edit: I HATE that it doesn’t last at all; as soon as you spray it, the fragrance is gone.
I like it very much. It’s the kind of fragrance I use after a bath, to stay at home, go to the gym, or sleep in. It’s floral and sweet without being cloying; I think it suits women of any age and in any season. Super feminine, I truly like it. It lasts about three hours on me and lingers longer on clothes.
How delicious it is! I love it with Pure Seduction; they are my favourites from the classic VS line. Velvet Petals is sweet, creamy, and super sensual. It’s versatile and easy to wear, looking great in any season… I adore it. It smells of caramelised almonds and flowers, absolutely delicious.
Sweet but not cloying. I bought it based on a review; I was worried because I don’t usually like sweet gourmands, but it smells delicious. It’s a soft, pleasing sweetness, like a pretty little girl. It lasts longer than other VS body mists; I love it.
Too delicious, worth it if you like sweets! It’s sweet with flowers but well-balanced. A little less sweet than Coconut Passion, so if that one cloying you, try Velvet Petals. Along with Bare Vanilla and Coconut Passion, they are my favourites from Victoria’s Secret.
It smells like moisturiser. I can’t find a very defined aroma, but it’s pleasant; ideal for stepping out of the shower without plans, something for wandering around the house. You can’t expect much from this body mist, nor from any VS body mist so far; none have good fixation, not even with the matching cream. I think any cheap body mist beats these from this brand… in the end, we pay for the brand and the product isn’t up to scratch; there are others at the same price that last longer, like Adidas or Nike.
