  Of all the Bharara scents, this is my favourite. It opens with super refreshing citrus and ginger that last about half an hour. Then it transitions into a fougère with lavender and violet, very pleasant, with herbal touches of vetiver and patchouli. It’s citrusy but mature, ideal for those over 30, though younger people might enjoy it too.

  I love the spicy kick of the ginger, but this is only for hot weather; it doesn’t work in the cold. The downside is the longevity: at full strength, it lasts about 4 hours with weak projection, which is why it comes with a decant for reapplication. If you’re looking for something similar but that lasts longer and costs half the price, go for Turathi Blue instead.

  Viking Cairo by Bahara smells of citrus, spices, and wood. It opens with a synthetic citrus note and very aromatic ginger. Then, in the heart, green and floral notes give it that masculine vibe. As it dries down, the green notes linger among the wood without losing freshness. It’s super versatile: daily wear, office, heat, nights out… it works for everything. It lasted almost 12 hours on me, with strong projection for the first 2–3 hours before settling on the skin. It’s my first time with the brand and I loved it for its performance.
