Loved it. It’s super unisex and while it recalls Baccarat, it takes a different path. It has that sweet-spicy touch but with a pine resin scent, something green like rosemary. The best part is it lasts forever; I sprayed it three times on my glasses case and after six months it still smells incredible.
I’m from Argentina and had never tried anything like this before – odd but delicious. I bought it blind and at first it smells like body cream, the kind for muscle pain, citrusy and mentholated. Strange, but not unpleasant. As it dries down it becomes sweet and floral, like a freshly opened alfajor with cookie crumbs and sugar, probably due to the chocolate note. It’s very unisex, perhaps leaning more masculine, but it suits a woman perfectly too. I’ve received many compliments, especially from women, who all say it smells like flowers. It’s a dupe for BG540 that few know about here. Although it’s odd, it’s not ugly; once you get used to it, it’s interesting. I use it daily at the office because it doesn’t overpower but you can still tell it’s there.
Niche Bharara tries to be different, though it has contradictions. It opens with citrus and juniper, aiming to be fresh, but the citrus doesn’t deliver that energy punch and the juniper is more of a whisper than a shout. The heart mixes jasmine, chocolate, and fir; the jasmine is floral but the chocolate mutes it a bit, like an intruder in the garden. The fir seeks green freshness but gets lost. The Amberwood and moss base anchors the notes; the Amberwood is warm and promises longevity, but the moss is earthy and familiar, yet it doesn’t elevate the fragrance above mediocrity. In summary, it aspires to be unique but doesn’t quite get there. The notes are there, but the execution needs polishing so each can shine. It’s for those who value the effort of distinction, though it might be too reserved for those seeking an olfactory revolution.
I have a better relationship with this brand (I only own the King) and although I recognise the synthetic touch, it doesn’t bother me. I don’t know the Baccarat Rouge 540, but I know several dupes, and this is the most masculine of all. As it dries down, citrus and spices blend with a sweet touch that doesn’t smell like chocolate. If I had to buy a Baccarat dupe, I’d only buy this because it’s the most masculine. In my area (Isla de Margarita, Venezuela) it costs between $80 and $86 for a 100ml bottle. It’s much cheaper than the original, but I think it’s still pricey for a dupe.
That brand smells almost plastic, synthetic; it has nothing to do with it, don’t waste your money.
