TriBeCa by Bond No 9

I dare to compare it with Reasonable Duplicates: to me, it smells like Pas ce Soir extrait, but creamier and hazelnutty. The opening has nothing to do with Burberry Her, Baccarat Rouge 540, or Lattafa Honor & Glory; it’s a sweet, light freshness that I thought was bergamot, but I probably imagined that.

Tribeca is absolute luxury. Notes of amber, caramel, hazelnut, cedar, and ambroxan make it sensual and addictive. It has nothing to do with BR540 or Lattafa Honor & Glory. Its performance is wonderful, though the price is questionable. I recommend it, but trying it first is key as its profile may not suit everyone.

I’m not sure if it’s my skin, but to me, it smells very much like Burberry Her and stays that way until it dries down.

I was disappointed after buying a decant of this perfume, which people spoke of in rapturous terms and whose notes seemed like a delight to me. I thought it would be the best perfume of all, but upon smelling it, the only thing reaching my nose was a mixture of petrol, burnt caramel, jasmine, and chemicals. For the price of the bottle, I consider it not worth it; I showed it to a couple of people and they agreed it’s not something you’d want to smell, as it’s almost repulsive. I think the people saying it smells good are lying; there’s no way this perfume is pleasant, it causes nausea and headaches. I had to scrub the area where I applied it very hard because, besides, it was very difficult to remove the scent. As for sillage and longevity, it’s a 10, but let’s say it’s not pleasant. I keep it stored away and from time to time I smell it thinking perhaps I exaggerated the other times, but it’s always like a blow to the nose.

I’m fascinated by my first niche perfume; it was a blind buy.

Well yes, the Arab inspiration in the Bharara Viking River has truly delighted me.

It’s a rich and quite sweet perfume, with vanilla and that milk caramel scent that reminds me a lot of Cloud, though this one is softer. You need to moderate the amount because if applied too heavily it can become overwhelming, but when worn correctly it smells spectacular.

I’m surprised no one mentions the opening, perhaps the ambroxan or moss give it a dirty or animalic touch. It’s not terrible, but it is noticeable and annoying. After five minutes it disappears, leaving a creamy aroma very similar to Ariana Grande’s Cloud. I smell hazelnut cream with cocoa, quite pleasant and nothing too loud. Truly delightful.

It’s not exactly a dupe of Baccarat. It’s one of its many cousins, sharing family traits but not identical. Just as Cloud is the BR540 with coconut and whipped cream, Burberry Her is the berries version and Instant Crush the floral and musk one, this is the caramel and chocolate cousin. Delicious. It’s incredibly cosy, sophisticated, and almost edible. Excellent performance; its longevity and projection are magnificent.

It might be somewhat similar to the BR540 but never a dupe or clone of it. For me, it’s a scent that oozes sweetness, honeyed (on my skin it smells like honey) with cocoa, hazelnuts, jasmine, cedar and caramel. Fantastic and long-lasting. The opening is impactful because it resembles that one so much, but if you wait for it to dry down, it will surprise you. Good sillage and excellent longevity. I see it as perfectly unisex; if you like sweetish scents, you’ll be captivated.

It doesn’t resemble the BR540 at all. Everyone compares everything to that scent now. No, Tribeca is totally gourmand; literally it smells as if you’re walking down the street and suddenly you’re in a very expensive patisserie or café where everything smells of caramel or cocoa. The BR540 doesn’t seem gourmand to me, more just sweet without being so.

It’s the improved version of Baccarat, more elegant and projects more in my opinion. It’s one of the best perfumes from the Bond house, and I like mixing it with Baccarat 540 occasionally. It’s a perfume that isn’t overwhelming but is also powerful.

Sounds like something playful and sweet, though I’m not entirely sure why it gave me that impression. The longevity, however, is top-notch.

A delicious and special fragrance, sweet yet not cloying—an aroma that makes my mouth water. Caramel, cocoa, and soft woody notes take centre stage. I have no regrets about the purchase: I wore it on a Wednesday afternoon and could smell it on my nose all day; people asked what I was wearing and my boyfriend wouldn’t stop telling me how lovely it smelled. The next day I showered and it was still there; I put on another perfume and the Tribeca scent kept coming through. Another day passed, I showered again, and it was still there. I told my boyfriend I was going mad, but he could still smell it; he said he noticed it too. That night I couldn’t detect it, but the following day I smelled it in my car again. Not joking! Thank goodness it was the seatbelt where the scent had become embedded. Its longevity is insane; it’s never happened with any other perfume, so I’ve rated it 10/10. The aroma is delightful, and the bottle—well, let’s just say it’s even better than the scent.

I bought this perfume without expecting it to sound like the BCR540, and if it does share that touch, honestly, I prefer this one, though it remains another dupe of the original Baccarat 540.
