Tobacco and jasmine: a sweet blend where powdered tobacco (xD) and resinous jasmine dominate. It’s elegant and shines in high winter temperatures. The longevity is good, typical of Amouage, and the projection is noticeable yet not invasive, because otherwise it would lose its elegance. I confess it wasn’t love at first spray, but over time I found its magic.
Opens with such a strong jasmine that it screams ‘Mr Jasmine’; sensual and radiant with resinous, creamy notes, a touch of non-gourmand vanilla and a measured sweetness; there must be neroli here too. After an hour, the jasmine softens, vanilla takes the lead, and a shy tobacco note appears to accompany it. A pity that by three hours the projection fades to skin scent—a hard blow to justify the price. It suits any weather, though on very hot summer days it could be overpowering.
