I ended up with the last bottle of the Al Boruuz collection, what a mess. There are two batches, one from 2016 and another from 2020, both incredibly hard to find at a good price; the older one is the most expensive, I saw it on eBay for 400€ for the bottle. But let’s talk about the scent. According to Fragrantica it’s rose and leather, and I was worried it would be an overpowering rose with brutal leather, but to my surprise, it’s not. Once dried, it’s about 50% like Tom Ford’s Ombre Leather (jasmine and leather), mixed with rose and leather from the start, everything very balanced with nothing dominating. It also carries ambroxan and the oud is barely noticeable. I was pleasantly surprised.
