Fresh, injects vitality, it’s a spectacular fragrance.
Beautiful fragrance, it’s a perfect citrus combination, you especially notice the bergamot, lemon and in my case the mandarin in the background. After about 10 minutes the citrus decreases a bit and you can feel a faint sweetness, the flowers appear softened and you can perceive the musk, it stays fresh and a bit citrusy. Wonderful for warm days. Wide projection but disappears in 15 minutes, it stays close to the skin and becomes almost imperceptible in less than 2 hours. A pity.
What more can be said about Versense that hasn’t already been said? It’s a fragrance that has no flaws, simply delicious, fresh, clean. I dare to say that even those who hate citrus can give it a great opportunity, it’s so simple that it enchants. Definitely it has its unisex touch although it’s catalogued as feminine. Timeless and perfect are the two words that define it. But it hurts my soul that it doesn’t last on me at all, I think I have to apply it every two hours because I stop perceiving it very quickly. If it weren’t for that detail it would be my most beloved perfume in the world.
It’s the case of those you expect nothing from because they’re not as famous as Eros or Dylan Blue, but it caught my eye. For me it’s one of the best from Versace, those fragrances that aren’t pretentious, timeless and ageless. The first time I tried it was an injection of energy; its notes convey tenacity. The citrus smell in its opening is vibrant, a shot of vitality. I recommend it immediately after a shower, it changes your day. As time passes it becomes subtly sweet without being cloying, the woods make it intriguing but it doesn’t lose its citrus essence. I suggest it if you like woody citrus, sweet, refreshing, clean and invigorating scents. You’ll love it as much as I do. One of my favourites for days when I need an extra boost of energy.
I agree with larilara. I’ll just add that, personally, I don’t like it; it bothers me, it’s a citrusy smell like for washing up, and I can’t enjoy the heart notes because they fade very quickly. I can redeem that the bottle is a beauty, so simple and elegant. It’s one of the few fragrances in my collection that isn’t linear; this one actually fulfils the order of the notes. Good longevity (6h). Due to its quality, I want to try more fragrances from this house. I wouldn’t buy it again, I find it too clean for my taste hahaha.
This fragrance drives me crazy. I discovered it in January on my holidays in Argentina and managed to get the large bottle at an unbeatable price. Its first note is lemon, not the fruit, but the lemon itself, really acidic, almost to the point of making your nose vibrate. You can perceive musk but nothing buries that acidity (not even Blue Light is so lemony). Behind it appears a woody note that gives it an extremely sexy unisex touch, not sensual, almost that wood manages to ‘remember’. It’s extremely sexy for breaking away from the norm of sweet and creamy feminine perfumes. It’s the type of fragrance you know is unique; in fact, I don’t think everyone will like it, luckily here it’s not so popular. When I tried it in summer it didn’t last long, but yesterday it lasted 6 hours and today, after sleeping and spending the day, it’s still on my skin (but without trail). I think it’s a true work of art; the famous ‘less is more’ makes it very attractive. If I had to summarise: lemon, sexual tension, lively, invigorating, unisex, wood, clean, sex on a deserted beach in southern Italy in summer.
I love it for summer. It’s a unisex fragrance that reminds me of the Mediterranean, those beaches with trees nearby. I’m a guy and I enjoy it a lot; the citrus isn’t the protagonist, it’s not a lemon slap, the woods, the olive touch, and I think the fig and pear tone down that acidity. It becomes a bright, invigorating fragrance that makes you feel energetic and gives you that optimism that sometimes you need with the heat.
I like it, though it doesn’t quite take me in. It has a rich citrusy lemon aroma. It’s very summery, ideal for going to the beach.
Totally agree with ErosV. It’s a freshness with body and personality. You put it on and can’t stop smelling it. It’s not the typical ‘little lemon’, and of course I feel it’s unisex.
I’m saving this for spring, but for now I gifted it to my mother, who is a fanatic of fresh and citrusy scents even in the middle of winter. I think Versense is going to take the throne from her favourite Eau de Rochas, and for me it’s a blessing as I’ve started to tolerate the other one less. Versense is so much more delicate and versatile; unlike the other, I can definitely see myself wearing it in the cold without it clashing. It opens with freshly squeezed lemon and lime, then turns creamy and sweet with the florals without losing that citrus touch, and closes with a rich cedar that gives it warmth and character. Since I took it out of her comfort zone, she wrinkled her nose when I put it on: ‘Isn’t it a bit heavy?’ Heavy? It’s a delightfully fresh and light treat! I told her to give it a chance, and indeed I was right: the next day she sent me a delighted WhatsApp saying she was keeping it (I’d told her she could return it if she wasn’t convinced). With this I’m not saying it’s for women my age or hers; it’s a very cheerful fragrance that any twenty-something could wear without a problem. It’s like jeans, which look just as good on a quinceañera as on an older woman, adding a different touch to each but always fresh and youthful.
Very refreshing fragrance, ideal for spring and summer. It’s a woody citrus that smells frankly good. I see it as totally unisex and perfect for a morning energy boost. Edit: it’s not lasting me even three hours; when it runs out, I won’t be restocking it, what a pity.
I only bought it because people say it’s discontinued, the price seemed good, and I wanted to compare it with my beloved Chance Eau Fraiche. The truth is, I didn’t like it at all. To me, Versense feels masculine, whereas Chance EF feels feminine. Versense has a very masculine green note that bothers me and seems bitter, while Chance EF smells like sweet lemonade. For me, they’re no more alike than the colour of the liquid; they’re scents heading in different directions.
It’s exactly what I was looking for for summer! A fresh, citrusy fragrance with presence and depth. On my skin, the opening is lemon and more lemon. I imagine it’s a citrus blend. Normally lemon turns me off as it reminds me of mosquito repellent, but here it’s wonderful—a natural, almost edible lemon. Shortly after, the florals appear very briefly, leaving a spicy note, perhaps cardamomo? Finally, the dry-down, which I find gorgeous. Woody notes usually bother me, but here they’re perfect: dry, not too strong, and paired with a creamy musk. It’s not overpowering; it stays close to the skin but delivers pleasant bursts occasionally. The dry-down lasts a long time; I can still detect it the next day. I think it’s totally unisex. I’m in love!
I love its citrus opening; it smells like an expensive, lovely soap to me, and I wish it stayed that way forever. Then the white florals emerged—while I’m not usually a fan of florals, this smells rich and soft. I felt the wood notes balanced everything beautifully. To be honest, I don’t know much about perfumes, but I fell in love at first sniff. After reading reviews, I noticed most users are older and started doubting myself, especially because in that white floral phase I felt a bit ‘mum-like’. However, I see it’s described as very versatile across ages, so I won’t put it aside. I adore that soapy scent; I just wish I saw more of my peers in their twenties wearing it. As for longevity, it lasted about eight hours on me before fading to a skin scent.
I really enjoyed this. The best thing is that, despite being an old-school cologne, the scent feels very modern. Perfect for summer.
It’s a work of art!
I’ve found my perfect summer citrus. Versense is ideal for going to work daily in the heat. It’s citrusy, but its opening isn’t as strident as Light Blue; it’s a little sweeter and just as sparkling. Then the flowers appear; that mix of lily of the valley and jasmine gives it a refreshing, clean, and elegant touch alongside its woody notes. At the base, there’s a very slight aromatic/talc-like note that makes it different and reinforces its sobriety. Its trail is magical, very airy and fluctuating; its chords come and go. I found that sensation very beautiful. It’s an EDT, so I keep my decant to refresh myself mid-day.
A marvel, my favourite of favourites. It’s an elegant citrus with personality. With that soft talc-like base, it’s a perfect blend. Superior in scent, trail, performance, and longevity compared to Chance Eau Fraiche. As someone said below: a work of art.
It’s a characterful citrus scent that reminds me a bit of Mugler Cologne, but finer. Ideal for summer, but it needs reapplication; on me, it lasts about three hours, which is little to be honest. I don’t know if it’s due to the price hike, but this 30ml bottle cost me 60 euros. If so, don’t buy it: very expensive for a cologne, however fine and Versace it may be. They are overpriced in perfumeries; I found it in the second shop at the price of two different chains. I repeat: it was the 30ml version, which usually ranges between 35-45 euros in designer perfumeries. I’ll buy it again if I find a better price, but not at that cost, given its low performance on me.
Finally, I’ve managed to add this adorable fragrance to my collection. I agree with the forum fans: it’s a Versace gem, even though the brand has let me down lately. This Versace is pure glamour and that cleanliness I always seek for everyday wear. I see it as feminine-unisex, following the current Bond No. 9 trend, although I have my doubts about such labelling. I’ll discuss my declared olfactory preferences later. For now, it’s a brilliant purchase for lovers of fresh and herbal scents.
A citrus that isn’t piercing or artificial; in fact, it’s very refined and classy. On my skin, it’s a woody citrus, very unisex. It lasts quite well considering it’s an EDT, very versatile, an underrated gem.
Total disappointment. I tried it, liked it and made the investment (in Argentina, people invest in perfumes, hehe), but ultimately I couldn’t wear it. After a few hours, with the sweat and pH… on my skin it leaves a smell of shaving foam and it just repels me. I feel uncomfortable.
I just bought it because I’m a fan of citrus scents. I thought it would be like the Light Blue by D&G (which I adore), but it’s not 🙁 The opening on Versence didn’t work for me; it smells like nothing but unnatural lemon, like a kids’ cologne. A few minutes later the florals emerge, leaving a slightly citrusy but subtle trail. In the end, it’s an elegant wood, lightly sweet, more masculine than feminine. The longevity is decent (around 6 hours) but that’s about it. I found it too expensive for what it offers, so I gave it to my brother.
My favourite perfume: citrus, fresh, refined and elegant. I love it! I don’t wear it all year round, but I’d happily use it if it weren’t so expensive, hehe. At first, it gives me a spicy lemon note, but then it becomes a delicious lemon, neither sour nor bitter. Glamorous lemon! I wish I could always have it.
The bergamot takes over, and by the end it smells much more masculine than feminine. The floral notes are barely noticeable, so it’s almost a cologne. It’s good for hot weather if you don’t mind something very citrusy, almost tickling the nose.
Versence, I’ve been buying it for years. It’s so fresh, citrusy and woody, very special. It’s elegant and, for me, it lasts all day. Years ago I had the Chanel Chance Eau Fraîche and it only lasted two hours. Versence follows the same style but with better value and performance. It’s among my top five favourite fragrances; it’s an absolute must-have.
What a delight! I bought it blind thanks to the good reviews and the price, and I loved it. The citrus notes dominate; every time I smell myself, I think of a lemon with salt. A man would wear it perfectly. I would definitely buy it again.
A well-rounded, clean and beautiful fragrance, perfect for unisex wear. It’s not overpowering; it’s a real treasure for the back of the wardrobe.
Total adoration. It’s the most elegant citrus I’ve tried to date.
Finally got hold of it, it’s a delight: fresh, clean and elegant. After 10 minutes on my skin, it smells more floral than citrus. By the way, I own the CK Beauty and when it dries down it’s identical, does anyone else experience this?
It’s green, soapy, and in the dry-down the flower comes through. It’s very wearable for me; it could be a blind choice, you can’t go wrong.
It smells good but… I totally disagree that it’s for women. In my opinion, it’s not unisex, it smells like a man. A man straight out of the shower.
I found it very pleasant, certainly it deserves more chances. It could be a summer favourite. The price puts me off a bit as I don’t consider it original.
It’s very refreshing and I’m drawn to it. But please, stop saying it’s similar to Chance Eau Fraiche. I own both and they are not the same.
I tried it out of curiosity to gift to my wife. At first sniff, I loved it, and for me this isn’t exclusive to women; it’s unisex from here to China. I’m buying it for myself, it smells like a vintage citrus as I like them.
It has nothing to do with Light Blue, thank goodness 😂. It’s a lovely, powdery citrus and I find it feminine. It doesn’t last at all, only two hours, and has no projection… it’s for personal enjoyment, to feel clean and fresh.
Very good, similar to Light Blue.
What a gem, a beautiful scent. For an EDT, it lasts forever on the skin, and on clothes it’s another level entirely. In the middle of a Chilean summer, it’s a staple. Pure elegance and cleanliness; I’m falling in love with it.
Green, citrusy and elegant, perfect for hot days. It’s a sophisticated lime with sugar that brings me memories of a rich Caipirinha.
It’s super green and unisex, yet quite masculine. It’s bitter…
