Descripción
Jo Malone London 154 Cologne is an aromatic woody fragrance for men and women. Launched in 2001, this composition was created by perfumer Jo Malone. In its opening, the fragrance unfolds a fresh top note of grapefruit, bergamot and mandarin; the heart reveals a spicy and herbaceous harmony with nutmeg, lavender and basil; while the base settles on vetiver, patchouli, musk and vanilla.

Bought it today… Jo Malone is always a safe bet; it’s hard to go wrong with this line. Smells of fresh wood, at least on my skin. Totally unisex. Very long-lasting with a lovely trail. If you’re a woman and buy it, don’t expect it to be soft, but it’s not overpowering either. If you’re a man, you won’t have any issues, as it feels more masculine to me. If you enjoy unisex fragrances, this could be a great choice.
A difficult-to-understand blend, a spicy and citrus bomb where lavender and nutmeg take charge, with a touch of mandarin and a first-class vetiver base that ties it all together, with slight notes of patchouli and vanilla. Definitely a very mature fragrance. Scent: 8.7. Trail: 6. Longevity: 9. Age: 30+. Totally unisex.
A complex and unisex scent. To those who don’t mind gender and want to show it off, it might seem odd, but Jo Malone has it all measured perfectly. What surprises is how natural it smells; it’s like smelling a bouquet of oranges or lemons, feeling lavender and vanilla in real life. It’s an absolute gem. Works well for both men and women because it smells of the countryside, of someone with a country lifestyle but with that touch of upper-class English elegance.

Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt was born as a tribute to their 154 shop, and if I’m not mistaken, it was handcrafted for their husband, so it carries the whole house’s affection. It’s a gem, one of the brand’s finest, and unfortunately discontinued in 2025 because it didn’t fit the trend for sweet perfumes now dominating masculinity. It’s a classic masculine scent, an elegant and timeless fougère with more body than usual. It opens with bitter citrus and settles into green vetiver, musk, and vanilla that linger all day. Then the grapefruit softens, and basil enters with plenty of nutmeg, but what makes it special is the guaiac wood and English lavender, which give it incredible depth and complexity. You can tell they put their soul into this. It’s versatile, suitable for almost everything except extreme heat, but it shines at formal events, particularly in spring and summer. The trail is brilliant, it smells distinguished, and lasts about 5 to 6 hours. It probably suits older people better than the young. It’s the perfect example of 80s and 90s English elegance.
