It is 100% floral and feminine. The opening was a delight on my skin. Although I’m not a fan of florals, its constant sweetness throughout its wear time made it brilliant. The projection and longevity are slight, as is the case with almost everything from Jo Malone.

On my skin, it opens with a very light floral bouquet, typical of those dominated by peony, and over time gains a touch of soft suede that smells lovely. Once it settles, I notice the juicy red apple. However, the peony and suede are the stars, as the name suggests, though the dry down is heavily laden with Iso E Super. The projection is good with just two sprays at first, but it fades quickly, leaving a subtle bubble for about seven hours. I see it as pretty for mid-season days. I found it very pleasant and perfect for work: discreet but not generic. I’m not a huge peony lover, but for those who enjoy subtle scents, I recommend trying it to add something deeper without being heavy. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 6/10 Versatile: 7/10 Original: 7/10

A fruity and juicy opening that gives way to a fresh floral bouquet, talc-like with a hint of musk. At first, it seems the jasmine is in charge, but then the peony takes over. After an hour, I notice the suede, quite clean, which makes the dry down warmer. It rounds out the fragrance and makes it more appealing. It’s super feminine, delicate, and versatile. Nothing opulent, but perceptible on the skin for at least six hours. It has the Jo Malone stamp and isn’t bad at all, although it’s not one of my favourites from the house.

A beautiful, subtle, elegant fragrance, sweet without being cloying, with a talc-like peony. I chose it for my wedding when I walked into the shop looking for a perfume that smelled of a bride. A summer bride, surrounded by flowers, in a champagne-coloured silk dress.

I tried it in the shop today and it hooked me… the scent is very balanced, fresh and sophisticated. You can tell the quality of the ingredients… It’s special, I’ve loved it.

  7. This fragrance captivated me so much that it became the first one I added to my wishlist. I tried it for the first time two years ago and haven’t forgotten it since. I’ve worn it several times since then, but unfortunately, it’s now very expensive. I adore it; it’s elegant, soft yet with a strong presence… supremely feminine. Its longevity on my skin is optimal. Without a doubt, I’ll own it one day.

  8. It left me so captivated that it became my first purchase desire. I tried it for the first time two years ago and haven’t forgotten it since. I’ve repurchased it several times, but now it seems a bit pricey. I adore it: it’s elegant, soft yet with great presence, super feminine. It lasts all day on my skin. Without a doubt, I’ll own it one day.

I have it, I have it, I have it. Finally, it’s mine. It was a wonderful gift and I am eternally grateful. I barely notice the red apple; my nose doesn’t perceive it as the star; it’s a generous, rich, natural, and fresh peony, combined with rose and a hint of carnation. The base is leather/suede, very rounded and soft… and very sensual. It has a moderate trail for the first 2-3 hours, then it clings to the skin. On my body, it lasts 5-6 hours and much longer in my hair. Simply put, I love it. This is how happiness smells. Warning: it’s addictive!

I have it, I have it, I have it. Finally, I have it; it’s mine. It was a wonderful gift, and I am eternally grateful. I barely notice the red apple; my nose doesn’t perceive it as the main note. Instead, it’s a generous, rich, natural and fresh peony that blends beautifully with rose and a touch of carnation. The base is leather/chamois, very rounded and soft… and very sensual. It has a moderate trail for the first 2-3 hours, then stays very close to the skin. On my skin, it lasts about 5-6 hours, and much longer in my hair. Simply put, I love it. This is how happiness smells. Warning: it’s addictive!

This is my sixth Jo Malone fragrance… but the first floral. The others have been more citrusy and herbal, but this one and the newest Star Magnolia are fabulous!! Fresh, feminine and subtle florals, yet they are noticeable. Someone always tells me ‘you smell wonderful’ when wearing them. Note… all Jo Malone fragrances can be combined with each other. I combine either of these two with Pomegranate Noir… I always have something more intense and different when I want to intensify these florals.

This is my sixth Jo Malone fragrance, the first floral. The previous ones were citrus and herbal, but this one and the new Star Magnolia are fabulous: fresh, feminine, and subtle floral scents that don’t go unnoticed. People always ask how good I smell with them. Just a note, all the Jo Malone scents blend well together; I mix either of these two with Pomegranate Noir to create something more intense and different when I want to boost these florals.

I’ve only been to the Jo Malone store once, and after sampling a host of scents, this is the sole one I’ve enjoyed. It’s floral and fruity, and I’ve concluded that I like perfumes with suede; I don’t know exactly what it smells like, but those with it suit me perfectly. Apart from the soft scent of peonies and red apple, which are the only ones I could identify, I must add that all the lines, including the Intense ones, have poor longevity.

I only visited the Jo Malone store once, and after trying a multitude of fragrances, this is the only one that has won me over. It’s floral and fruity, and I’ve discovered that I adore those with suede notes; I can’t quite put my finger on what they smell like, but every single one is a triumph. Of the notes, I’ve only managed to distinguish the peonies and red apple. By the way, all the lines, even the Intense ones, have a very short longevity.
