90% similar to Kenzo Homme but three times cheaper. Excellent value for money. Lasts six hours with a trail for an hour and a half. A nearly unknown gem.

  • Like a beach day. Yes, it reminds me of Kenzo Homme, but I prefer this one. It smells like the beach: sea bath, t-shirt on, sun, salt, pines, and aromatic plants, the sea breeze. It literally is that. Anyone born on the coast understands it when they smell it. Bottle, atomiser, box, and scent: 10/10 for 10-12€. A hit for spring/summer, nothing too mass-market. I think it’s more masculine, but some women might wear it well; you just have to try it.

  • An absolute aquatic delight. Elegant, with ridiculously good value for money, very clean and pleasant. It bears a strong resemblance to Kenzo Pour Homme, being slightly more aquatic and less green, about 90% similar. The scent is generic due to being ‘clean and aquatic’, but I doubt it will be unpleasant. I would fully recommend this brand and this fragrance.

  • An absolute aquatic delight. Elegant, with a price-quality ratio bordering on ridiculously good, very clean and pleasant. It resembles the Kenzo Pour Homme a lot but slightly more aquatic and less green in my opinion, but 90% similar. A scent that could be considered somewhat generic due to its “clean and aquatic” aroma but I doubt it could be unpleasant. Totally recommendable this house and this perfume in particular.

  • I went for it thanks to a review on Youtube. I expected it to be much more aquatic and oriented only to hot weather. On the contrary, for my taste, it is very versatile. It suits you for work just as much as going out for a walk. I don’t even see it as madness to use it in winter. In addition, I also see it as quite unisex. The trail and longevity are average. A great discovery and at a bargain price.

On the contrary, it is very versatile: it works for work as well as going out for a stroll. Indeed, I see no harm in wearing it in winter. Moreover, I find it quite unisex. • For the price and quality, it’s a must-buy. Total surprise: fresh, summery to the point of excess, a pure summer scent with a sublime touch of distinction.

  • A fragrance that by price and quality is already a mandatory purchase. A real surprise in my opinion, fiercely fresh and summery with an aroma of pure summer with a sublime touch of distinction.

  • We encounter the aquatic perfume of the collection, as its name well states. But don’t expect a simple aquatic/citrus either because no, Acqua is more complex. It smells woody with a very prominent pine, but it doesn’t smell “old”, it is very aromatic and obviously aquatic. What I most appreciate is a mineral, cold and slightly salty aroma that I cannot help but associate with the beach; it smells like that, a beach with trees, wet trunks and branches, rocks where moss has grown and where the water is a bit dirty due to the algae floating aimlessly. As you can imagine, if a perfume manages to evoke so much, it cannot be bad… You are right, the perfume is very good, suitable for warm days, where on my skin it is holding up for about 5-6 hours with a good trail. It is very compared with Kenzo Pour Homme, I cannot comment as I haven’t heard it and, nor do I like to compare, all said and done. If you like aquatic, rather marine, perfumes, this one will enchant you. • To my nose it smells mainly of conifers, especially in the opening. Very green. It is relatively fresh, because it is not citrusy or ambered. From my ignorance, for me the body comes from the roses, which are much more evident when dry as the moss, pine and cypress fade. It doesn’t smell old but does have a retro eighties touch and the opening undoubtedly recalls the Kenzo Pour Homme. It has more body than it seems as already indicated and is perfectly wearable in autumn/winter… in fact, in summer with extreme heat I don’t see it except at night, but not in stifling heat. For 10 euros it is a real bargain. Very, very, very masculine to my nose, except for the final dry down where the roses are the protagonists and a more unisex feel can be sensed. It projects well for a couple of hours and lasts up to 5-6 hours.

  • The EsScential

Let’s go step by step, as Jack the Ripper would say… I followed the recommendations on this page and, with summer approaching, I decided on the Acqua. I bought it online without trying it first; I did try the others when I collected them, but I’ll save that for later. Personally, I don’t like dupes; I prefer different, difficult, rare fragrances, not a copy/paste like this of the original Kenzo Pour Homme (not the 1,200 subsequent reformulations that no longer resemble the original). Here it wins, it outshone the parent house. If it weren’t for the quality of the ‘copy’, I would have been more disappointed. Apart from that, it’s a good perfume for an almost ridiculous price (I say almost because I’m in Argentina and with its crisis, with that money one could do other things, but I won’t dwell on it). The opening is alcoholic, strong, and synthetic, lasting ten seconds, then salty aquatic notes, cypress, pine, and nutmeg. In the dry down, roses dominate, but the clary sage and a soft sandalwood make it definitively masculine; I don’t feel it’s unisex. The best part: it doesn’t give me a stuffy nose or sneezes like the Kenzo. The box is generic, it has embossed labels but the design could be improved; the bottle and atomiser are fine. Longevity: 6/7 hours on skin and more on clothes. Trail with two applications is heavy for the first two hours. Works all year, better later/evening; for the morning it becomes heavy. Age range: 27/28 and up. Of the other two tried (Bois d’Olivier et Cade wasn’t available): the Neroli one didn’t suit me, very baby powder, nothing masculine; the Vetiver one I liked but it’s for autumn/winter. BEWARE of the opening, it’s foul at first, but after 10/15 seconds the charm begins. Now I’ll buy a niche one (very expensive, obviously) to perfume the bathroom. There’s one for everything… Note: I used it on cool summer evenings in the city, after a rainy afternoon, and that’s the ideal climate. I suppose it would work perfectly for a night near the sea (I hate the beach, anyone, all of them; not the sea).

  • You get what you pay for. It is tremendously synthetic and alcoholic. The scent, well, is nothing special and bears no resemblance to the Bvlgari Aqva Marine (this one is wonderful) nor to the Replica Sailing Day. I’m using it as a room freshener for the bathroom, that’s where I’ll leave it.

  • The EsScential

Let’s take it step by step, as Jack the Ripper might say… I followed the majority of reviews on this site and, with summer just around the corner, I decided to try the Acqua. I ordered it online without testing it first, although I had already smelled the others when I went to collect them. Personally, I hate buying replicas; I prefer fragrances with character, difficult or rare ones, rather than a copy/paste of the original Kenzo Pour Homme (forgetting the thousands of subsequent reformulations that no longer have anything to do with it). This version wins out; it has surpassed the parent house. If it weren’t for the good quality of the “copy”, I would have been more disappointed. Leaving that aside, it is a very good perfume for an almost ridiculous price; I say almost because in Argentina, with its eternal crisis, with that money many people could do more useful things, but I won’t go into that. The opening is very alcoholic, strong and synthetic, but lasts only ten seconds; then salty aquatic notes, cypress, pine and nutmeg appear. When dry, roses dominate, but the clarity and a very soft sandalwood make it definitely masculine; I don’t feel it is unisex at all. The best thing is that it doesn’t give me nasal congestion or sneezing like the Kenzo. The box is a bit generic, it has the detail of raised labels but the design could be improved; the bottle is good, good sprayer. The longevity (my brother and I tested it) is about 6/7 hours on skin and longer on clothes. The trail with two applications is quite heavy for the first two hours. It can work all year round, more so in the afternoon/evening; for the morning it feels too heavy to me. Age range: from 27/28 upwards. Now the other two I tested (the Bois d’Olivier et Cade one wasn’t there). The Neroli one I didn’t like at all, very baby powder-like, not masculine at all, and the Vetiver one I liked but it’s more for autumn/winter. BE CAREFUL with the openings, they are foul-smelling for both, but after 10/15 seconds the charm begins. Now I’m going to buy a niche one (very expensive, obviously) to perfume the bathroom. There are all sorts… Note: I used it on surprisingly fresh summer nights in the city, after a rainy afternoon, and THAT is the ideal climate; with much heat it is oppressive. I suppose (I hate the beach, any of them; not the sea) that for a night near the sea it would work perfectly.

  • You get what you pay for. It is tremendously synthetic and alcoholic. The aroma is nothing special and bears no resemblance to Bvlgari Aqva Marine (which is wonderful) nor to Replica’s Sailing Day. I use it as a bathroom air freshener; that is where I leave it.

  • By the way: The EsSential is my opinion and is just as valid as yours; besides, I’m not much of a niche perfume fan ;D We probably have very different tastes, as the one from this brand I liked most was the Neroli Intense, which doesn’t smell like ‘baby powder’ at all (that smells like Bvlgari Petit et Mamans), but rather like a classic Mediterranean fragrance, type 4711. And I still think the Acqua smells like air freshener. Best wishes.

  • david_david

Be careful: this perfume isn’t the typical fresh aquatic scent to wear over a T-shirt in the heat; it’s much more than that. I consider it a hidden gem for any season, including winter. It has a floral prominence that gives it a different character and deepens the more volatile aquatic nuances. I imagine the ingredients are low quality given the price, but I like its composition. It would be a sellable product five or six times over if it performed better and invested in fixation to prolong its poor longevity (little trail and then right up against the skin). It was so attractive that, taking advantage of the price, I bought a second bottle because I think I’ll use it a lot throughout the year. But I’ll end as I began: be careful, the name is quite misleading.

  • Caprice des dieux

I bought it blindly because of the price. The rose scent stands out from start to finish; it reminds me of the rose water my mother used to use to clean her face. To me, it feels 100% feminine, although there are men’s perfumes that integrate rose better. Anyway, the scent is pleasant, even if it doesn’t last long… if you like to feel roses right up against your skin, this is for you.

  • Ignacio Bravo

It smells like Kenzo, but you get five bottles for the price. If you like that scent, buy five and reapply as much as you like, because it doesn’t last very long.

  • I like it, but it’s not overpowering, and it doesn’t need to be. I won’t ask for more than it already gives; it’s very good. I’d say it’s the most ‘masculine’ of the brand, although they are all quite unisex. It has a good balance overall, with all the notes coming through clearly, and there’s a nice harmony between the watery roses, the green notes, and the sandalwood. Rich and enjoyable.

  • Good perfume, slightly vintage (90s) due to its resemblance to Kenzo pour Homme; it’s aquatic, but with a rose that is too marked and strong. It’s not for buying blindly, but for those who love Kenzo, it’s an excellent option. It has good longevity and projection at an affordable price.

  • LosPerfumesDeJavi

It’s called Acqua and it smells exactly like that. It’s a very affordable perfume I didn’t know about until one day, while testing a friend’s collection at home, I bumped into it with my nose. Immediately, the smell of plastic from arm bands and floaties, along with the pool chlorine, came to mind, transporting me back to childhood. Its notes include rose, aquatic, lavender, cypress, pine, moss, and white musk, among others. I struggle to differentiate them because, as I say, they take me back to that plastic floatie smell with chlorine. When I need something to refresh me and take me to the pool, this is the one I choose. I’ve loved it and use it a lot this summer.

  • lefabrizio

Delicious! It’s a scent you identify with a certain age, but in this Jeanne en Provence version, there’s something more special, surely due to that combination of notes or that rose which feels so intense. It lasts about 5 or 6 hours when worn well, and if you apply several sprays, it’s noticeable. What I adore about this house is that, despite the price, they all have quality and something distinctive. I think ACQUA is my favourite: spring-summer is a 10/10.

  • Leandro Matias

The perfect inspiration for Kenzo Homme (the 90s bathwater fragrance) was my signature in my teens; I loved it and still do, even though it doesn’t last as before. That’s why, before spending triple on the original, I’m going with this: it smells 90% the same and the performance is almost identical.

  • Smell before you buy is the golden rule! Reviews promised rose and a poolside scent, so I went to test it. The assistant sprayed it on a card, and I wish I could erase that overpowering rose cream aroma that stuck in my nose for over ten minutes. Even while walking through the shopping centre with the sample, that rose dominated; there was no trace of the rich plastic or chlorinated water I was expecting. What a pity, as I was looking for that holiday vibe the comments sold. I know it smells different on paper than on skin, but that intense rose made me turn back. I returned to the shop, refused to take it, but I appreciated the assistant’s attention, something the fragrance itself failed to deliver.

  • Never buy a fragrance without smelling it first! An indispensable axiom. Reading the comments, the smell of plastic floaters and pool water combined with roses caught my attention, so I went to a perfumer. After the assistant sprayed it onto a card, I could not shake the scent of rose cream from my nostrils for more than ten minutes. Even though I walked around the shopping centre with the card, the intense rose scent predominated, with no trace of the rich plastic or the spa pool smell. A pity, as I expected a certain aroma associated with this fragrance based on the reviews. I know every fragrance smells differently on paper than on the skin. But that imperative rose made me back down. On returning, I declined to take it, but I appreciated the assistant’s time and courtesy, which I did not find in the heavy rose of this perfume.
