An abrupt opening of some kind of 80s nitro-musk, Jovan Musk style. After 10-15 minutes, that musk fades in intensity and timid white flowers appear, along with a slight sweet vanilla touch. The longevity is scarce, just over two hours, and it remains right on the skin with little to no trail, except for those first 15 minutes of musky opening. Neither wow nor fail. Totally dispensable.
The opening is peculiar. Once it dries down, it smells of soft lavender, musky, with a hint of vanilla. The performance is very discreet, but I don’t mind much, as I’m not a huge lavender fan. It’s supposed to be a clean scent, like sheets drying in the sun under a blue sky, which usually translates to subtlety, and here it is. This house offers neither eternity nor megatonnes. At first it didn’t convince me, but little by little it is winning me over, despite the lavender. As always, give it a try. For the price, it’s not a great risk.
It’s true it doesn’t last a second, but to me it feels like a very pleasant sigh of relief. Suddenly I realised exactly what it reminds me of. Those 70s and 80s bath gels like Pravia Hay. The one from back then, which smelled so much and so well as the bar soaps of the same brand and had a lovely radioactive green colour, might also remind one of Legrain Moussel shower gel… that’s the direction it’s going. This sensation, not “just out of the shower” but rather being in the shower itself (no exaggeration), fades very quickly and it makes me sad because it’s a real treat. The wild greenery of the Caribbean in your home settles down to leave a clean, fresh, slightly synthetic musk, and above all CLEAN, SPOTLESS (now it seems you’ve just got out of the shower but it hasn’t been more than a minute or so), which sits quite right on the skin so as not to annoy oneself or others. But what a wonderful sensation! Fragrances like this are also necessary in life. For going to the shops. Or for a quick appointment. Or for a visit to the doctor. It also finds me relaxing for sleep because it has that something that transports me to childhood and such comforting, simple things. Life is full of such moments, more than “top” ones, and that’s why I greatly appreciate the freshness and unpretentious simplicity of perfumes like Lin Blanc. For that very reason, it has won me over 🙂 They are needed.
