Kenzo Homme Fresh by Kenzo is an aromatic fragrance for men. Launched in 2006, this composition evokes the freshness of urban nature with a balanced structure between citrus, florals and woods. Its olfactive profile unfolds in three stages: a vibrant opening of bergamot, lemon and cardamom; a floral and green heart featuring carnations, jasmine and lily of the valley; and a woody, spiced base that includes sandalwood, vetiver and patchouli. The creation is signed by perfumer Olivier Cresp.

I tried it a few days ago. It smells very good, though I found it hilarious that the first thing it reminded me of was a freshly cleaned bathroom. Here in Mexico there’s a disinfectant called Pinol and… this perfume smells exactly like that with a bit of citrus juice. It’s not bad, but if you’re someone who gets heavily scented by soap when you bathe, it doesn’t matter how much you wear it: it just smells clean and nothing else.
I passed through the shopping centre and they applied it to my arm alongside Kenzo Night. Terrible; it smells like cleaning fluid, a cheap-sounding scent, too synthetic, and I can’t imagine anyone spraying it on me and offering a compliment.
I’m not sure if this is the same as Frais or if they’ve changed the name, or perhaps it’s not on Fragrantica. Anyway, I tried it and it’s lovely: basically the classic original with a fresher twist. Smells good.
