This citrus scent, which the olfactory pyramid insists is sour apple, drives me mad. It smells the same from start to finish for me and my nose aches as if it were bleach. It must be a note I simply can’t tolerate. I’m sorry, but I can’t handle it.
This citrus scent, which by the olfactory pyramid I swear is sour apple, kills me. It smells to me from start to finish and gives me a noseache as if it were bleach. There must be a note I simply can’t tolerate. I’m sorry, I just can’t handle it.
Something unexpected happened today: it’s the third time I’ve worn it and it seemed to smell off, yet I was showered with compliments. It seems my nose wasn’t up for this perfume today; it really doesn’t smell the same as other times.
Following the Anglo-Saxon rating system: Scent 6/10, Sillage 9/10, Longevity 6/10 (around 6 hours). Final average 7/10.
The scent feels a bit synthetic; sometimes it gives the impression of those large rolls of plastic. Perhaps the sour orange is to blame, along with other ingredients; it’s an intrusive smell that can even make me feel dizzy. I hope to finish it soon so I can swap it for something more pleasant. I give it 5/10.
Good fragrance for hot weather; I used it in the summer here in Santiago de Chile and it smelled very well… it has a huge opening, fresh, citrusy, with the bitter orange and apple very marked and original. The tea and vetiver give a soft, interesting woody blend as minutes pass, and of course, a slightly synthetic note like plastic appears, as Maniac Fragrance notes, but it’s still pleasing. Sillage is important for about four to five hours, then closer to the skin and on clothes.
Now having a bit more experience with this fragrance, I must say something curious: when I’m already in the shower after removing the scent of this fragrance, it reminds me of the Azzaro Pour Homme aroma; it reminds me absolutely of the classic Azzaro already mentioned. Perhaps others have noticed the same, but for me, it happens every time and is very evident.
Duration and fixation are superb; I notice it’s a bit synthetic but generally, I like it quite a bit and it’s a successful blind buy. It lasts forever and is a fragrance for the summer season that goes very well. Oh, and by the way, I like it more than the Original Chrome.
The Legend of Chrome. This perfume is a curious variable of Chrome. It smells different from the original but retains certain notes from the fragrance it derives from. The detail is that it has a somewhat artificial scent, but that doesn’t necessarily have to be bad. For me, the most attractive feature is its modernist packaging, which shows what it is: an advance within modern masculine and woody perfumes. Very good, 4.5/5.
Now that summer is arriving here in southern Texas and northern Mexico, my acquisitions are trending towards citrus and fruity scents. Let’s see if the Azzaro legend is urban or alive as commentators say. Initially, there’s an intense herbal touch; perhaps the tea note is the most predominant. Gradually, it softens with that soapy touch, maybe the musk, and in the trail, a woody note is noticeable, presumably cedar. As the opening intensity fades, a metallic touch appears, very predominant in synthetics, which mixed with the woody notes gives a slight apple hint, but to be frank, it smells more like plastic, synthetic, and artificial, like when you open a new product in plastic packaging. Fixation and sillage are a bit more intense than normal, but they don’t compare to its cousins Azzaro Visit and Chrome, which are much more intense, with sillage and longevity well over five hours comfortably. The bottle has a youthful and elegant style, rating the fragrance as teenage, yet it’s compatible for all ages. By its appearance, it conveys an elegant, clean, enveloping, and intoxicating scent. Preferably for summer, day and night, outdoor events, or the office, as it’s not overwhelming. In conclusion, it’s a very common scent, not reaching special status; for me, it’s not a Masterpiece, as the name LEGEND feels a bit too grand.
I got a sample recently and, in my opinion, it has a somewhat classic scent, without being formal or boring. I’d use it on summer holidays; when I smell this, I imagine myself relaxed by the sea enjoying a good break. If you’re looking for something fresh that makes you feel clean, don’t hesitate; this fragrance has bottled sea water. Best regards.
It’s a bomb for summer, like someone grabbing you and spraying you with a firehose full of ice. Suitable only for daytime use if you want to get the most out of it. If you want to feel fresh all day and smell good, I highly recommend it. Watch out not to overapply, as it becomes aggressive and synthetic.
This perfume is a bomb for summer, as if you were sprayed with a firehose full of ice. Daytime use only if you want to get the most out of it. If you want to feel fresh all day and well-scented, I recommend it. Watch out: don’t overapply, as it becomes aggressive and synthetic.
I had high expectations; it’s hard to find lasting citrus or fruity colognes, and reviews said it had good staying power, so I bought it. The scent didn’t impress me; it felt like the same artificial line as Perry Ellis 360°, although it’s not the same fragrance, they share a base. This one is a bit more citrusy and bitter, but the synthetic touch takes away the magic. Scent 5/10, Longevity 8/10 (over 8 hours), Sillage 6/10, and value for money 8/10.
I bought it blind and honestly, I expected more. The scent isn’t real and lingers in those base notes that are starting to bore me. It shifts between the ‘little apple’, the ‘tea’, and the ‘bitter orange’, with occasional sweet touches of tonka, plus that omnipresent musk or ambroxan. Still, it came out very cheap, and for the heat, we’ll use it indoors.
It smells synthetic but has a hook. The opening is a sharp apple with tea and bitter orange, the most prominent notes. Then, after two hours, tonka adds a subtle, creamy sweetness. Be careful not to overapply; it becomes heavy and more artificial. Two sprays are enough. It projects well for 2-3 hours and lasts over six, typical of an EDT. It’s versatile, accessible, and suitable all year round (except very formal events), though it suits heat better. It reminds me of Chanel Allure Homme Sport, albeit with lower-quality ingredients but better performance. Try it first; you might not like it despite its low cost. I bought the 125ml at a good price and can’t ask for more.
The scent feels synthetic but is interesting. The opening features a very sharp apple alongside tea and bitter orange, which I detect most. It’s linear, and after a few hours, a subtle sweetness emerges from the tonka, giving it a creamy touch. Be careful with the sprays, as it becomes heavy and more synthetic; two sprays are enough. It projects well for 2-3 hours and has good longevity (6h+) for an EDT. Versatile, accessible, and wearable all year round (except for very formal events), but it suits heat better. It reminds me of Chanel Allure Homme Sport, with lower ingredient quality but better performance. It’s worth trying before buying; I purchased the 125ml version at a good price, and you can’t ask for more.
It is very synthetic, I won’t deny that, but let’s not deny it’s also very good. If one day you wake up tired and, after a shower, apply this perfume because the bath didn’t do its job, this scent will certainly wake you up. It’s a genuine hit of freshness and lasting energy that will accompany you all day. The apple and bergamot make a well-refreshing explosion.
I remember this was the first flanker of ‘Chrome’. It does seem synthetic, though it’s more comfortable than the original, without that metallic vibe that can sometimes be annoying, especially if overapplied. It’s probably not aquatic, but the notes remind me of sun and pool. Originally I wore it at night, but I prefer it during the day, especially in the afternoon. It has moderate sillage, although in the first three hours it’s potent. Be careful not to overapply; although it lacks the metallic note, the synthetic aspect can be irritating. On the plus side, it’s good value compared to other flankers in the line. You can’t find it in regular stores as they only stock the latest models at $80-90. ‘Chrome Legend’ is available at discount stores like Walmart or wholesalers like Sam’s for $30-35. Sometimes they have a perfumery section with surprises.
I don’t know much about perfumery, but I’m a fan. I’ve been using it for a month and gave it to my mother because she loved it. I bought another one yesterday and first wore it just a few hours ago. I adore it; I detect a rich sweetness that comes in waves. I don’t know what causes it, but I compare it to burning sugar, yet so delicious. I don’t know what others think, but for me, it’s an affordable and very rich fragrance. I bought it blind the first time. I’m not criticising anyone; as they say, to each their own. Everyone has their taste, but I’d give it a 9 out of 10.
I’m not an expert, but I absolutely love it. The projection and sillage are spectacular, very long-lasting yet not overpowering. It lasts so long that the next day it’s still emitting that exquisite scent. Very masculine and versatile. Without a doubt, it’s in my top 3. The only downside: it’s extremely hard to find; apparently, they don’t manufacture it on a large scale.
The 2015 reformulated version has nothing to do with the original, where you could smell the woods and flowers. The new one smells very much like plastic…
I’m not sure what’s going on. It was supposedly discontinued in 2011, but I found it last week in a discount shop for $35. The interesting thing is they’ve swapped the cap for a cheap plastic one, typical of late reformulations. But the fragrance is another story: I presume it’s been reformulated. The performance is even better than 10 years ago when I first bought it. It smells stronger, projects better and the longevity is good, even after a shower. I don’t know who pulled the miracle off, but they’ve done a great favour. It used to smell great, now it smells great and even stronger.
A rich, talc-like masculine scent. It’s an easy-to-wear and assimilate essence, uncomplicated, practical, clean, and versatile that stands out from the crowd without being intrusive or complex. It’s a long-lasting aroma that develops very well. I perceive it as a mature essence with a certain seriousness, suitable for men aged 25 and above. I wear it in the morning at work and at informal meetings; it’s good for semi-open spaces due to its broad and lasting trail. It has a stimulating, astringent, and slightly sweet aroma. Vetiver, moss, and tea stand out. It delivers and is reasonably priced; the only downside is that it’s hard to find.
Rich masculine musk. Easy to wear, uncomplicated, clean and versatile; it stands out without being intrusive. Long-lasting and well-developed. It feels mature and serious, ideal for men aged 25 and above. I wear it at the office for informal meetings; perfect for semi-open spaces thanks to its wide trail. Wow! It’s the first day I’ve worn it, and personally, it’s not a big deal, but I’ve received two compliments from women today. Apparently, they love it, so if you want to smell good with the fairer sex, this is the fragrance to choose. Versatile for all seasons, excellent for the office or as a signature scent. A blind buy recommended! A hidden gem from Azzaro.
Wow! The first time I wore it, I didn’t think much of it, but I’ve already received two compliments from women. They really like it, so if you want to smell good around the fairer sex, this is the fragrance to go for. Versatile for all seasons, excellent for the office or as a signature scent. Highly recommended blind buy. A hidden gem from Azzaro!
A super summery scent that wakes you up and gives you a boost. Once it dries down, you get notes of tea and woods with a soft, relaxing musk. It draws compliments from the opposite sex. The only downside is the disaster that’s been done with the new bottle and its cap.
Summer-fresh and lasts over 12 hours without being overpowering.
It’s not unpleasant, it throws me a bit with everything related to the Invictus vibe, youthful, fresh and with a sweet touch. It doesn’t last as long for me as I’ve read here, but the truth is that for a summer day it goes well. Now, that does seem very normal, very correct, but it’s not a scent that stands out at all.
As per many reviews, it resembles Invictus Legend. It’s very fresh and revitalising for the mornings. Trail is acceptable but longevity is very poor.
Back in 2017 I had a bottle of this fragrance. By then it was already being said that it was discontinued. I wonder if those ‘myths’ of discontinuation are fostered by the companies themselves, which users then replicate on forums and manage to make the fragrance more popular. The same thing happened here in Argentina with Ultraviolet by Paco Rabanne, supposedly discontinued years ago, but it’s still available here. At least, until very recently. Returning to Chrome Legend, the thing is I managed to get it again and it really smells the same as I remembered, aside from the cap change (the current one looks very precarious and untidy compared to the previous one). For me, it has the air of the classic Chrome and also ‘Pure Chrome’. It’s a subtle beach fragrance, slightly fresh with a musky/musky connotation and that smells like sun tan lotion. The performance (in both versions, both the vintage with the more elegant cap and the current one with the more precarious cap) is, in my experience, VERY insufficient.
I bought this fragrance blindly, as a birthday gift for my husband. And it was a total hit. It became a staple for him. I detect a lot of a tangerine-type aroma (must be the bitter orange), but it’s very well blended with the rest of the notes, making it a very pleasant scent throughout the fragrance’s performance. Additionally, it has excellent longevity on his skin. I recommend it 100%.
I love it, it’s powerful and brings back good memories. Women have given me compliments when I wear it and men love it too, they’ve told me, as if they wanted to have it… But well, there must be a reason, the fragrance DELIVERS.
Super potent fragrance, the green apple note is noticeable, along with the bitter oranges and at the base the musk. It opens very citrusy but then settles into something very woody and finishes with that musk. It lasts a long time on skin, more than 5 hours, leaves a good trail and projects quite well. It’s a fragrance that won’t disappoint and you’ll be showered with compliments.
It causes nausea, as if it were entering your brain and rejecting the scent.
I’ve used it for many years and I was always impressed that, despite being herbal and fruity, it’s too potent. If you’re sensitive to scents or detest heavy trails, this isn’t for you. Since its launch it has very fruity notes, but in my opinion the tea leaves stand out more. Its longevity is over 8 hours. I consider it a blend between Invictus Legend and Voyage.

A good fragrance without a doubt, one of those that earns compliments, giving off a gentleman vibe, nothing of the current cloying sweetness that’s already driving me mad. I think Azzaro made a massive mistake by changing the format; the current cap is horrible and gives the impression of being a lower-tier fragrance, whereas for me, at least, it’s among the best of the Chrome line and I’ve tried almost all of them. I’m not giving it ‘I love it’ solely because of the new format.
Chrome Legend by Azzaro is a fragrance that knows no grey areas: you either love it or hate it, period. In my case, the first thing that came to mind was that smell of Fabuloso floor cleaner mixed with air freshener, nothing more. It’s not negative, but I warn you it’s not for those seeking something conventional. The opening is potent and makes it clear it’s not designed to please everyone. I don’t think women will like it much, but I do recognise its brutal longevity: on my skin it lasts up to 8 hours with an intense trail for the first 3. My advice: test it before buying. It’s not universal and its character can clash if you’re not prepared. The good news is the price is accessible; sometimes a decant costs almost the same as the bottle, so if you jump in blindly, you won’t lose much. In the worst case, use it as an air freshener for the house and believe me, it gives the room a nice air. Personally, I’m in a middle ground: it doesn’t disgust me, but it also doesn’t invite me to use it. It’s not one I choose with pleasure, simply it sits there in my collection waiting, although it rarely gets to come out. Not because it’s bad, but because I have options that convince me more. Something I do want to point out: although many categorise it as a summer scent due to its marine notes, I honestly don’t perceive it that way. To me, it smells more like a retro fragrance from the 80s or 90s, with that nostalgic air that can be appealing if you’re into those vintage vibes. In summary: it delivers, has good longevity, projection, and a price that invites you to take a risk. But beware, it’s not for everyone. If I had to rate it, I’d give it a 7 out of 10. I wouldn’t call it ‘meh’, nor would I put it in my top list. Let’s say it’s a ‘meh-good’. And yes, I still think it smells like Fabuloso with a spray. That’s my experience, and with honesty, that’s how I’m sharing it. Scent: 6.5 | Originality: 7 | Trail: 8.2 | Projection: 8 | Longevity: 9 | Versatility: 7 | Formality: Casual
