Descripción

Invictus Legend by Rabanne is an aromatic woody fragrance for men. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by Domitille Michalon Bertier and Nicolas Beaulieu. Its top notes unfold with marine accents, sea salt and grapefruit; the heart reveals a harmony of bay leaf, geranium and spices; while the base anchors the essence with red amber and guaiac wood.

  • MASTERPIECE. THE BEST INVICTUS OF ALL. COMBINES THE BEST OF THE PREVIOUS ONES. I REGRET BUYING THE 50ML ONE, BUT BEING AN EAU DE PARFUM, TWO SPRAYS ON THE NECK WILL BE ENOUGH FOR YOU AND THOSE CLOSE TO YOU TO SMELL IT. IT’S BRUTAL. IN AUTUMN AT 20 DEGREES, IT LASTS OVER FIVE HOURS; AFTER SIX THE INTENSITY DROPS SLIGHTLY. IT’S SWEET AT THE START AND SALTY IN THE DRY-DOWN. TRULY AN ESSENCE BOMB. YOU CAN SMELL THE LAUREL, NOT LIKE THE ORIGINAL BUT IT’S THERE. I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO THESE PERFUMERS WHO MANAGED TO KEEP THE INVICTUS ESSENCE AND TAKE IT ONE STEP FURTHER. SUMMER? YES, BUT AT NIGHT. SPRING? DAY AND NIGHT. AUTUMN? DAY AND NIGHT. WINTER? I’D WEAR IT DAILY AS I’M NOT SURE IT’D STAND OUT AS MUCH ON THE SKIN AT NIGHT; I FEEL THE COLD WOULD DIM IT A LITTLE. BUT IT’S A MATTER OF SPRAYING MORE, BUT BE CAREFUL! IT’S A POTENT EAU DE PARFUM. PACO RABANNE HAS DONE IT AGAIN, AND IN AN EXTRAORDINARY WAY.

  • Invictus Legend reminds me of that typical deodorant or marine gel smell. I’d wear it in the morning for running or the gym, but not for dates, important events, or work. The longevity and intensity are good, and although I like the middle notes, the opening doesn’t convince me. It has more presence than the original, but given the price and utility, I don’t plan to buy it.

  • A strange fragrance: at a metre the trail is rich, but up close to the skin it smells odd (maybe it’s just me). In my case, the trail lasts an hour and a bit and the longevity about eight hours. It’s very similar to the Yves Saint Laurent Y EDP that I also own.

  • typpeorange835

Yesterday I sprayed two sprays on my forearm and today, as of now, it still smells. Naturally, very up close, but if you bring your nose near, there are still traces left. This is a bomb.

  • Very_gentleman

It’s fruity. I thought it would be a bomb lasting five or six hours, but in reality it lasts about three. I do recommend it for summer or autumn. I’m currently at the beach and it works well because it’s fruity and the performance increases by about five hours. In cold weather it becomes scarce, like all summer fragrances.

  • Rich aroma from start to finish. Suitable for all year round, standing out at the beach thanks to its tropical touch and on spring and summer nights. It holds up well in autumn and winter. I have a bottle from 2021 and it lasts over nine hours, so I’d give it 8.5/10 for performance.

  • Strong, fruity, and sweet opening, totally for summer. After two hours, the projection and trail drop to the level of an average fragrance. Update 2022: Rich aroma for the first hour, then mediocre. I wouldn’t recommend it; if no one smells it after an hour, there’s no point in wearing it.

  • A fresh, herbal, and sweet scent without being cloying. The opening is tropical mango with an acidic touch like passion fruit, a pinch of salt, and a woody base. It projects strongly for the first two hours and then lingers on the skin for another six, like an Eau de Parfum, but with constant bursts of that charming smell. It’s a flanker that generates compliments. It goes great on warm days, evenings, nights, summer, spring, and even for office Fridays or weekends. Yes, in the dry-down phase it reminds me of 1 Million Lucky with a salty and amber touch.

  • andreguilera

A fruity, fresh, and youthful fragrance perfect for daily wear. The opening mixes Invictus and Le Beau. As it dries down, it smells like 1 Million Lucky but with marine notes.

  • Invictus Legend is one of the freshest options in the range. It has that chic, sticky sweetness with a marine touch typical of the original, but adds a sharper salty note than the Aqua. Its signature is the underlying tropical aroma. Projection and longevity are moderate, as you’d expect for the price. Watch out: up close it smells odd and unpleasant, so don’t over-spray and avoid being too close to people. In short, the sweet, salty, and tropical balance makes it ideal for summer.

  • Aromatic delight. I read somewhere that no one perceives it after one or two hours… Wtfff? If that scent lasts until the next day, hehe. For me, it’s the best from PR along with XS Night.

  • Paul Madison Brown

It’s truly a spectacular fragrance. The first time I perceived it was in a sample they gave me after buying the 212 Vip Black by Carolina Herrera. I remember I was reading a book and applied a few sprays of the Invictus Legend sample; I was very impressed because this fragrance transported me inexorably to a place that was both fresh and warm at the same time.

  • morrisong

Total disappointment after seeing people say it had great longevity. Less than 2 hours projecting moderately, and from then on only close to the skin until it disappears by the fourth hour. It could be considered a fraud to sell a perfume that only has the name.

  • NandoHolgado

I bought this fragrance in 2019, when I wasn’t an expert yet and was getting my driving licence. It seemed like a perfect flanker because my brother used the Intense and I didn’t want to smell the same as him. It projected enormously, lasted a long time, and I always received compliments; everything was shades of blue (hehe). I finished the bottle and a few months ago, about 4 or 5 months, I remembered the good times and bought it again. At first I thought everything was the same, but it wasn’t. It has been a victim of a reformulation: the salty, citrusy, and graceful opening lasts at most an hour. Then there’s a soapy and sticky sensation that no one perceives, and by 4 hours I have to press my nose against my skin to smell it. Today I applied it at 8, and now at 12:11, it doesn’t smell beyond the skin. It makes me very angry to have 100ml of a perfume that smells great but lasts ridiculously little. What a pity 🙁

Invictus Legend is a fruity, aromatic, and woody fragrance. The opening is fruity and sweet, very faithful to the Paco Rabanne style; in fact, sometimes it seems that several fragrances from their group, such as those from Puig, resemble each other, as if they had something of Black XS or the new Phantom, but it moves further away from the original Invictus. Over time, it loses a bit of freshness and becomes more spiced and aromatic, although it remains fresh and sweet, but with a greater degree of maturity than the original or Aqua. It’s versatile, less youthful than the original, which makes it suitable for slightly more formal occasions, but it remains jovial and pleasant. Ideal for spring, autumn, or winter. Performance: about 8 hours with me with regular projection. Recommended for fans of Paco Rabanne and Carolina Herrera looking for something cheerful but with a touch of maturity.

  • poblete.erik@gmail.com

My reviews can be a bit hard to understand. In my view, it’s the best in the Invictus range, it has a scent that attracts enormously, it’s clean and versatile. Both its longevity and projection make it an excellent purchase. I recommend it without any reservations.

  • In my opinion, I’m head over heels. It smells delicious, it’s strong, and I’ve received many compliments; it leaves a wonderful trail. As for longevity, it lasts the longest by far: I applied 3 sprays at 9 pm, returned home at 6 am, slept, and when I woke up at 1 pm my pillow still smelled of it. Highly recommended. Note: in summer, if you apply too much and aren’t in a ventilated place, it can be suffocating.

  • I just bought it because I had been longing for it and I absolutely loved it. It’s sweet and fresh, though not as much as Victory in the opening; this one is fresher at first and dries down to become warm, sweet, and salty. It’s my favourite after Platinum. Recommended for day and night, summer or winter, and it’s elegant. A complete gem. I agree with others: it is more mature and elegant than Classic.

  • Beto Tornes

I tried it as a decant, and to be honest, it’s the only Invictus that hasn’t sat well with me. The opening is rich, but then it becomes a bit salty; it’s not unpleasant, but it doesn’t give me good vibes. Furthermore, it lasted only about four hours before I couldn’t detect a trace. It disappointed me greatly, as I had read it was the best in the line, but it’s nothing like that. My top picks remain: Platinum, Victory, Classic, and Legend.

  • FabiánZote88

Out of the hundreds of fragrances I have owned, this was the only one that drove me crazy; my ex-girlfriend wanted to try it the moment I mentioned it, and when I say crazy, I mean crazy. I love it, sweet notes but above all marine and salty. From my point of view, it can even suffocate with too much heat. Spring and summer nights ufff, even in autumn it could be used without problems. For me, it will always be a 10 out of 10.

  • I have it and it’s a super versatile perfume that brings many compliments, ideal for those beachy heatwaves.

  • charlie85

Few jovial perfumes for summer night parties are good and long-lasting. This is clearly one of them. If you are going to buy an Invictus, let it be this one. It’s still sold in some places in Argentina, only the 50ml version. Recommended. 6/10.

  • Very rich and beautiful, I picked it up on offer in 50ml with that Champions logo. I had the original Invictus EDT since its launch and it lasted me a whole year. The scent is very similar but less fresh, and instead of taking away from it, that gives it more versatility than the original, which I only used in the heat and in the evening. I liked this Legend; I wasn’t surprised by its similarity to the original, but in winter here with the heat and mild climate, I find many occasions to use it, even at night. Good projection, better than the EDT, and the longevity is beastly: the EDT lasted me 4 hours on skin and this one already takes me to 8. Nothing to criticise except the price, which, although I got it on offer, is excessive for the original. Recommended? I don’t know… I love the Invictus scent, almost my signature for years, but it’s super mass-market and the smell is extremely well known, so it doesn’t surprise or generate compliments because everyone has an inspiration of this logo. Try it and if you truly love the scent, it’s worth the expense; otherwise, no.

  • Torrente80

What I notice most is the grapefruit in the opening, which gives it a citrusy and stimulating touch, while the laurel leaf and geranium notes in the base add masculinity. It’s a balanced and long-lasting combination for men.

  • MrNiceGuy

The best sweet scent for any occasion, it smells incredibly rich, and its longevity and projection are something I haven’t seen in other perfumes. I recommend it 100% as a signature; anyone who says otherwise should check where they buy their perfumes, lol. 10/10.

  • SALTY DELICIA smells rich, simple and fresh; it’s marine/salty/herbal/woody where the salty and marine notes dominate, a bit more sporty than the original but more serious as it lacks a flashy or fruity sweetness. It’s not very evolving: it opens fresh and then stays linear. It’s an honourable ‘Blue Fragrance’, easy to wear for everyday life, outings with friends, the gym, the beach, casual Fridays, or daytime dates where you want to smell rich and attract attention; ideal for heat and sun, though it also works in cold or at night. It has given me compliments like ‘you smell rich’ with no negative comments. Performance is very good: lasts 7-8 hours, projects strongly for the first 2 hours then drops but is still felt at a short distance with a wide trail that surprised me. The price isn’t cheap but it’s worth it if you like these scents; buy blind if you like marine and salty notes. Compliments 10, Longevity 8, Projection 10, Trail 10, Price 7, Total 9.

  • Alfredo Salvatierra

Very rich, masculine, fresh and marine, but it has a salty touch that doesn’t suit me; if I smell it from afar, it’s fine, but up close, directly on the skin, it turns into something spicy that I don’t like, although others might enjoy it. That’s the only thing that didn’t convince me. The longevity, projection, and trail are good. Personally, I recommend not buying it blind because there might be notes you don’t like. This applies not just to this perfume but to all: DO NOT BUY BLIND. Even with positive reviews, others might not like it; we all don’t have the same tastes. If you buy based on a good review, some notes might disgust you when you try it. That’s why you should try it first with decants to see all the stages: opening, dry down, and heart, as well as longevity, projection, and trail. So, try it completely for a few days and don’t let yourself be guided only by first impressions. Never buy blind.

INVICTUS LEGEND PR: The original’s DNA is there, but it transforms into an aquatic and marine version with a salty touch, making it super fresh and blue. Although it seems discontinued, there’s a great inspiration today called Victorioso Myth by Maison Alhambra; keep your distance, but they are very similar, so for the price, you can’t go wrong. In the world of contemporary blues, it competes directly with Versace Dylan Blue, YSL Y, Nautica Voyage, 212 Men by Carolina Herrera, Bvlgari Aqva, Armani Acqua Di Gio, and others on the market. Undoubtedly, it’s a good fragrance: jovial, energising, clean and marine. It looks fabulous for mornings, afternoons, and hot nights; it’s not very elegant but smells wonderful. In my opinion, it’s one of the two best Invictus fragrances, alongside the Platinum. An excellent choice for the heat with proven acceptance. Scent: 10. Projection: good, noticeable for 2 hours. Longevity: 6 hours on skin, 8 on clothes. Recommended.

  • Inmortal59

Sweet, very sweet. On my skin it smells like vanilla and a bit of talc; I don’t detect the salt, citrus, or laurel. I don’t consider it a pure summer scent; I use it more in spring. I think it suits those under 40 better, especially the younger demographic. It has excellent longevity and projection.

  • Sweet opening in the style of Invictus and a dry-down very similar to Lapidus Sport or Kouros Fraicheur. The laurel is very noticeable; it can be unpleasant, but not for me. It’s 100% masculine.

  • Leonardo Quiroz

Absolutely beastly, very good scent and lasts forever. I’ve worn it for 10 hours and it’s still projecting strongly. Ideal for summer.

  • RicardoPowa123

The new Invictus smells much cleaner, like soap and violet. This one doesn’t. This one is more festive and ultra-versatile.

  • It should be back; it was my first serious fragrance in 2019 and remains my favourite after trying hundreds… it’s a sweet-salty, potent, marine balance with incredible performance. I still have a 200ml bottle with 80-100ml left. I’ve tried clones but nothing comes close to this masterpiece. The Parfum is a bit similar, but worse, with those coconut and Victory Elixir tropical vanilla notes. I hate the direction designer fragrances have taken, although Aqua 2024 has redeemed them a little. I hope they bring back this jewel.

  • It’s probably one of the first to feature so much wood and ambroxan. Here comes the saturation. With heat, it overwhelms me; those metallic and dusty tones, along with synthetic wood and sea notes, get amplified and dull the grapefruit. I tolerate it better in the cold. Also, it has a sticky sweetness that I don’t like. I only see it for cold weather or outdoors; it’s not what I’m looking for. The performance is exactly what you’d want.

  • Testermexico

What I love most is the dry-down: it has a classic Invictus touch but with a lot of cleanliness. At first, the grapefruit is a bit strong and not as sweet as the EDT. The longevity is incredible: 2.5 hours of moderate projection, over 8 hours on the skin with bursts, and up to 12 hours before it fades.

  • Paul Madison Brown

I have it and don’t use it much. It’s very long-lasting but the scent is invasive. A single spray on my shirt is strong and lasts all winter. It’s better for summer if you want to smell like grapefruit, but it feels a bit old-fashioned for anyone over 30.

  • I own both Elixir and Legend. Elixir makes me feel mega-masculine and confident; my friends say it smells great, but in real life, no one asks. Some even cover their noses because it’s too projective, like someone threw pepper at you. If you wear it close to the skin, use just a single touch. I’d rather try Elixir Le Male, which earns more compliments. Legend, on the other hand, does get me noticed; even my cousins hug me longer asking what I’m wearing. For outdoor summer wear, use three sprays: neck and shoulders. Women tend to prefer citrus and aquatic notes, so Legend is the best daytime option.

  • Ricardo-powa

Legend is much fresher than the Parfum, which smells more like flowers and soap; they are completely different.
