Domitille Michalon Bertier is a highly qualified senior perfumer at IFF, with more than two decades of experience in the fragrance industry. She received her perfumery training at the renowned perfumery school ISIPCA and joined IFF as an apprentice in 1994. She progressed through the ranks and was promoted to Senior Perfumer in 2007. Throughout her career, Domitille has worked with numerous prestigious brands, such as Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Dior, Lancôme, Marc Jacobs, Viktor&Rolf and many more. Some of her most famous creations are Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb, Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight in Paris and Marc Jacobs Perfect. Domitille is inspired by a variety of sources, such as cooking, art, travel and reading. She is known for transcribing words, inspirations and memories into perfumes, associating ideas and using her library of odours and notes that she has created and kept. Domitille is interested in working with natural ingredients and continuously explores new ingredients to enrich her palette. When asked about her favourite scent, Domitille mentioned the smell of iris concrete and expressed her desire to work with a natural absolute of popcorn. She also shared an original association of Timur pepper and vetiver. Domitille is Vice President of Perfumery at IFF, and is recognised for her intuition, passion, perseverance and her skills in fragrance and creativity. She graduated from ISIPCA in 1992-1994, and was part of the YSL class.
