I swear I’m passionate about this fragrance. It’s very fresh, woody with notable citrus tones, a fantastic blend of sensations. I see it as versatile and ideal for spring and summer.
I absolutely love it! I might use it as my signature scent. My pH is strong, and few fragrances last on me, but this exceeded my expectations. Fresh aroma, minty, with a touch of sweetness from the patchouli. Versatile for any occasion, though perhaps more suitable for someone over 20. A very good option for the office.
I absolutely love it; it’s neither heavy nor suffocating. It starts sweet and soft without being cloying. Rich and fresh, a sweet blend with herbal notes that smells delicious. As it dries down, the herbal aspect stands out, leaving that incredibly rich sweet trail. It smells fantastic. Paco Rabanne never disappoints; I enjoy all their fragrances. It’s not a massive surprise or groundbreaking, but it’s spectacular and appeals to almost everyone. I’ll likely repurchase because it’s so well-balanced. Finding sweet fragrances that aren’t heavy, are fresh, herbal, and long-lasting is difficult. I see it more for autumn, winter, and spring; in summer, only for cool evenings. It’s not a powerhouse in projection, but it has good longevity and a trail within a bubble of over a metre. For cold climates between 15 and 20 degrees, 15 to 20 sprays; in heat, half that, between 6 and 8. Note: Longevity 8.5, projects over a metre, lasts more than 6 hours. Fixation 9, it’s luxurious on my skin. Trail 8.5, scents a metre away, perfect so it doesn’t feel heavy. Versatility 9, suitable for almost any occasion, dates or casual outings. Scent 10, it’s a proper stinker that smells fantastic with a capital F.
For now. I’ve worn it for a few days and it reminds me greatly of an 80s or 90s deodorant, like the ‘Uomo Internazionale’ from a catalogue… I don’t like it at all. EDIT: After using it for months, it presents a green and dry opening, a sweet heart, and a somewhat synthetic vibe, yet it projects energy. The base also follows suit.
Excellent perfume. I used to detest Rabanne’s classic Invictus and Legend because, while they last, I found them too sweet. With Platinum, the first time I wore it, I sensed a minty note that felt mature. Using it daily, especially for those of us from Mexico, it resembles Boing Mango but with a powdery kick and a hint of alcohol. It’s my go-to for going out in the heat; it doesn’t need reapplying and lasts incredibly long. Women under 40 have complimented it. Best regards.
It resembles Quorum Silver. If you want to know what this fragrance smells like, just try the Silver.
My mistake was believing the YouTubers, hahaha. It has all the DNA of the classic Invictus plus a fake boozy twist. Not worth it; it’s just more of the same. A 6/10: it doesn’t smell bad but it’s boring. The only Invictus worth buying is Victory.
It’s a bit like the original Invictus but enough to tell it’s a different fragrance. Fresh and impactful at first spray, with moderate longevity on my skin. Once dried down, it’s very similar to Azzaro Wanted by Night.
Total freshness for the office; it was my faithful companion until it ran out. Potent upon first spray, long-lasting yet not overpowering, the absinthe note doesn’t smell of alcohol. Ideal for a blind buy if you’re looking for something good for work or university in the heat, though it doesn’t bring anything new to the market.
Brilliant fragrance! It opens with mint, grapefruit and absinthe, giving it freshness and a slightly boozy touch, before evolving into a minty, sweet scent with exquisite lavender that invites you closer. It smells different from the generic ones. Lasts 8+ hours and on clothes for weeks. Projection is normal within your bubble. Versatile for everyday wear, school or the office: it doesn’t bother but you notice it. Highly recommended.
I didn’t like it at all. At first it was fresh and powerful, seeming to be on the right track. But as it dried down, an overpowering smell invaded me, like anise or medicinal, very strong and invasive. It seemed I might like it before, but I don’t. It has great projection and duration, but it’s one of the Invictus I liked the least because of that peculiar dry-down.
One of my favourite Invictus, heading for my second bottle. Along with Victory Elixir, they are two absolute gems worth trying. They fit perfectly because of how different they are. Among the best of recent years and, to make matters worse, great performance.
I didn’t like it when I first tried it, but I’m gradually understanding it. It’s sweet, fresh, and slightly fruity, like a cocktail. It’s not heavy, but the sweetness is sharp and loud, so I see it more for going out at night. Additionally, it has an alcoholic note that I don’t see as suitable for studying or going to the office.
Very good for everyday wear. It has a note that sits between salty and green. I perceive it as ‘rough’, astringent, which gives it a serious tone and less sweetness than other flankers or the classic. If I were to describe it simply, it would be an Invictus ‘Sport’. Very good fixation, duration, and high to medium projection.
I’ve had it for 3 months and only used it 5 or 6 days. It’s not that I don’t like it, but I don’t see the ‘fresh’ description. To me it’s artificial and projects too much with just 2 sprays. To repeat, it’s not bad, it’s a matter of taste, but it hasn’t convinced me.
Good fragrance, it doesn’t turn my head, but it delivers and isn’t too generic.
Rich fragrance. I met it on the bus: a guy sat next to me and I got hit by the trail. At first I thought ‘ok, it smells nice’, but over time it became richer until I thought ‘wow, I really like it’. I was encouraged to ask what perfume it was and that’s how I bought it. Note: it has a resemblance to YSL.
Delicious. The opening is spectacular and it stays that way as it dries down.
Total surprise I won’t forget. I bought it blindly due to the ridiculous price and recommendations. The opening is sublime: sweet, fruity, and mentholated, very refreshing. It’s not innovative, but it’s well-made and doesn’t bother anyone. It doesn’t evolve much; it stays on that toned-down sweetness with a woody touch that doesn’t overpower the greenery of the Platinum, so don’t expect the cedar and patchouli to shine. Performance: with 6-8 sprays it lasts about 8 hours. Moderate projection for the first 4 hours, then just a personal bubble until it fades. You’ll receive compliments, but it won’t revolutionise noses. I recommend it as a signature because you don’t offend anyone and you feel good. Not for parties with lots of people because cheaper perfumes will overpower it. 7.5/10.
I bought this for the notes, hoping the mint would stand out, for my husband. In the end, it’s a light Invictus flanker with a sweet and fresh charge, but it doesn’t highlight the mint as I expected; instead, it features cypress, grapefruit, and lavender. I was enchanted by the scent on my skin, but he found it too sweet and preferred not to wear it again, which breaks my heart. Furthermore, the projection lasted over 8 hours after application and remained close to the skin for more than a day. If you like sweet men’s fragrances without being overpowering, this is your option. Although Invictus isn’t the peak for me, I appreciate that this flanker carries part of its DNA and that sugary touch that even I would wear.
Fresh and sweet aroma, super fruity. It’s very noticeable, almost like a mangonada, which is what they call it in Mexico. It works all year round and is my signature scent. Lasts 7 or 8 hours with good projection.
Absinthe, pure absinthe. I’m a fan, defying the prediction that an evolved nose would stop appreciating the original and its flankers. After the ‘Victory’ releases that didn’t suit me, I regained faith in the brand with Platinum, but it disappointed. It doesn’t smell like the original DNA, which isn’t bad, but its aroma certainly is. If you introduce notes like absinthe from the start, there’s no evolution, and that’s what happens here. During its short life, it feels constantly tinged with an unpleasant camphor note. The base is overly green, with mint and a trite patchouli. In short, it smells like a shot of absinthe with mint and nothing else. It’s slightly sweet and fresh, perhaps the only thing it shares with its father, but very little of either. I don’t see it for summer or winter, nor formal or playful for parties. I don’t understand how people say everyone loves it. DO NOT BUY BLINDLY. Performance doesn’t match Rabanne: on my skin it lasts a maximum of 8 hours, but from the second hour onwards, you only notice it if someone comes close. Sillage and projection are moderate, lasting a maximum of an hour. In conclusion, it smells of absinthe, mint, and little more. Performance is barely acceptable, and I wouldn’t talk about compliments. Invictus will always be and remain the original; I hope they stop releasing flankers that have little to do with its DNA. – Scent: 4/10 – Longevity: 7/10 – Projection: 6/10 – Sillage: 6/10 – Versatility: 7/10 – Compliments: 5/10
Delicious fragrance, one of Paco Rabanne’s best.
I like the scent; it’s like canned mango. It doesn’t drive me wild, but women love it; I’ve received many compliments. In my social circle, these tropical scents really stand out. The opening recalls Paris Hilton for Men slightly, while dried it has that classic Invictus air. Performance ranges from normal to heavy: 5–7 sprays last 6 hours on skin and all day on clothes; 9–11 sprays last 7–8 hours on skin and until the next day on clothes.
I prefer this to the original; it has become my signature scent.
Fresh, slightly green, mentholated, marine with a hint of salt. It also has a sweet, sexy touch that could earn you compliments. This Invictus Platinum is the ultimate versatile scent: day-to-day, dates, friends, gym—it never fails. 100% recommended.
I tried it with hope, but it just doesn’t work for me. The opening was pleasant, but once dried, it smells like soap, akin to shaving foam, and gives me a headache. It’s not excessively fresh or formal, yet it suits daily office wear.
Let me down; neither fresh nor elegant. The first two minutes are fine, but after five minutes it becomes heavy and gives me a headache. I wanted a different Invictus after using the regular Hawas, but I wouldn’t recommend it. I regret spending 80,000 pesos blindly based on reviews.
A different take on the original. Excellent for daytime wear in enclosed spaces. Think shirt without a tie.
Tested on skin and dries quickly; very rich. A green scent that reminds me of H24 by Hermes and CH Paradise.
Exquisite aroma, sweet without reaching cloying. If you like mint, it’s for you, because at first opening it goes with the grapefruit. For a date, you make it perfect or for parties.
This perfume offers something different, it’s not disruptive or anything of the world. In fact, its opening is sweet and citrusy like a yellow grapefruit with sugar and mint, somewhat soapy with a touch of grape at the bottom (perhaps it’s the lavender). The citrus goes very quickly and the cypress takes strength, very identifiable although richer than in nature, mentholated and soapy. This cypress gives it something I don’t usually smell in trend perfumes. I like it a lot, it’s for daily use, for the office without being very formal. I give it a 7.5.
It’s not bad but it’s the same as so many others. For the price or putting a bit more into it, there are thousands of better options. The opening doesn’t like it, it smells of pomade that older people put on for bone pain; yes it’s fresh, mentholated and somewhat citrusy, but it has that pomade smell. Then the dry-down is much better with the sweet cypress and patchouli, without reaching panacea status. Yes, it projects and lasts like very few fragrances, especially at this price. Very mentholated and sweet always; if that’s what you want, it’s for you, otherwise better follow your path.
Everything is perfect in this creation, although it only lasts an hour. Why doesn’t it last longer?
Excellent perfume, good projection and longevity. I bought it in 2022. What a pity they’ve discontinued it.
Totally informal fragrance, suitable for the day but I see it as fresh for going out at night, dancing or clubbing in a white shirt. Decent trail and low longevity, a maximum of about 4 hours. It’s one of the few times the Arabic version (Armaf Odyssey Aqua) beats the original. Smells of soft fruity mango with a sticky green base that gives freshness thanks to the mint. I recommend it for blind buys or as a gift only for someone young, under 35. Rating: 8.4/10.
Total perfection, useful for any time of day.
This Invictus Platinum along with the Parfum are the two best in the line, by far. The Elixir starts well but then doesn’t convince me, Victory Black smells of vulgar cinnamon, Aqua is a horror and Absolu isn’t worth it. I don’t understand why they discontinued this Platinum; it’s some of the best from Rabanne: excellent opening and dry-down, very versatile. To me it smells aromatic and herbal, like little herbs with a soft sweetness, very pleasant and not annoying. Very good for winter and autumn, or cool spring nights. Lasts a lot and projects well, it’s not a beast but if you atomise it well it lasts notably. People like ultra-repetitive aromas, but compared to the mega-sweet ones coming out everywhere, this is good. They’re mad they’re still selling Victory Black and not this.
What a shame it’s discontinued, but without a doubt it’s my favourite from Rabanne. Ideal for daily wear in extreme heat, it’s a gem. The longevity is very good, honestly a 10/10 at least for daytime.
What a fragrance, super citrusy and green with a sweet touch that goes down a treat. Lasts 7-8 hours with good projection and trail for the first two hours. One of the best Invictus flankers; I’m going to try to find a backup as I think they’re going to discontinue it.
