I bought it due to the good reviews, tried it in store and liked it. I used it for a party on a summer night and it worked perfectly. It’s sweet and vanillaised, exquisite. What surprised me most was the longevity: on skin it lasted all night and on clothes, when I went to wash them, it still retained the scent. My skin is very difficult to accept all kinds of perfumes and with this I got it right. I love it!!!!
Without a doubt, you can smell that popcorn scent at the start, afterwards it’s less intense. It’s rich. I don’t know whether to say it’s a good perfume or a perfumazo… it’s potent but very sweet, it cloyes me a bit but I receive compliments. I use it from time to time and consider that, if you don’t like potent sweet perfumes, it’s better to have the 30ml bottle (that’s what I do with those I like but don’t use every day).
Marvellous, addictive, sweet, intense and current. It’s very original with those first moments of salty popcorn, to then transform into an embrace from an oriental queen and sweet. It’s a majestic perfume I recommend. I used the first bottle after a shower when arriving home after the day’s work. That moment of relaxation on the sofa with a scent full of good vibrations is comforting. Now I’ve bought it a second time and use it all the time, even to go to work, in small quantities because it’s intense. After getting to know Pure XS I’ve tried others with a similar dry down like Tous Onix and Tous Emerald. I enjoy it very much, it’s an excellent olfactory experience. I recommend it for autumn, winter and evening wear, to women who love sweet perfumes.
They recommended it saying it smelled of popcorn or salty vanilla, but no, it smells only of vanilla and generic sweetness found in any perfume X, with slight hints of orange blossom. That said, at least it’s not as cloying as those perfumes you don’t want to smell again.
I tried it for the first time in 2018 at a very eye-catching stand at the airport. I carried the scent strip in my pocket and kept taking it out. I fell in love and now I have my bottle which I take great care of. Although it’s intense for summer, I use it at night in any season to leave a sweet mark. It’s addictive; several people have complimented me even in large rooms. At first it’s very sweet vanilla which then leaves a woody trail. It makes me think of the night and of a woman who is sweet and sexy at the same time. It lasts incredibly long on clothes (more than a day), about 6 hours on skin, with high projection at the start.
The popcorn note is well present. It’s an addictive perfume, ideal for autumn (I use it daily because it’s not too intense). It’s sweet, classic but with a distinct touch, very pleasant to smell. The only criticism is that it leaves little trail, so I don’t use it at night for that reason. People have complimented it, but not much. In summary, it’s worth it if it’s on discount: ideal for day-to-day in autumn/winter, leaves little trail, lasts 4-5 hours on skin but lasts about 8 on clothes.
I like it; it’s sweet and creamy, in the good girl or scandal vein. However, I don’t smell popcorn in it, but rather peanuts (?). It’s very winter and evening wear.
I came to review this perfume, which is moving (and very sexy), and hopefully, without falling into my olfactory bipolarity (hormones or because I’m a musician? I don’t know), it will make it into my favourites. However, I’ve read @espartaco’s review and I don’t think I have anything more to add. It’s worth reading and believing it wholeheartedly.
I confess I arrived super excited, but beware: don’t buy it blindly. It’s unique and inevitably draws attention. For me, it’s excessively cloying, perhaps due to my environment. I sense a bit of popcorn, and to be honest, it reminds me of a caramelised candy; I find it an interesting perfume.
Bought it on a friend’s recommendation after she gave me a decant. I loved the dry down and that popcorn note had me hooked. What a shock to discover that, despite knowing it had been reformulated, the popcorn note had vanished completely. I’ll keep trying it, but I feel misled. The batch code is from this March, in case anyone is doubting whether to buy it.
I bought it blindly and found it very ugly, excessively sweet. I don’t know if it’s the popcorn note that I dislike, but it really repels me.
I bought it blindly thinking the popcorn note wouldn’t be so prominent, but I’ve never smelled a perfume THIS cloying; I can’t stand it.
One of the best gourmands. I don’t detect the popcorn note, but it’s super sweet. Floral accords are also noticeable. It’s seductive and for evening wear; however, it was my first expensive perfume and I used it for everything. IT DOESN’T COME OFF THE CLOTHES; once you spray it, it’s there forever.
Very rich, with a warm feel; a sweetness that isn’t cloying but is definitely gourmand. Very linear; it’s like Olympéa but without its initial majesty. It’s among my most-used scents, after Insolence, Angels and Jimmy Choo.
A perfume that evokes self-love. It’s perfect for feeling in love with life and everything around you. Only if you have a strong personality will you feel comfortable with this fragrance. You certainly won’t go unnoticed and will infect others with your trail.
One of the best perfumes in the world, in my opinion. Buy it; it’s worth it!
Very fruity at first and overwhelmingly sweet on my skin; it reminds me of Yes I Am, which I couldn’t finish because it was far too cloying. For night outs, something occasional, certainly not for daily wear; I find it can be very intense.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who smells different. In the shop, I loved it; it smelled of super-gourmand popcorn, I fell in love, and even thought it had a vibe similar to Belle de Parfum, so I decided to buy it. When I received it a few days later, it was awful: a rancid, sour alcohol scent, with no popcorn, vanilla, or anything promised. I also tried a Sapphire fabric spray that mimicked this perfume, and it lacked the popcorn note too; it smells exactly like the original. What a pity; it wasn’t expired or anything, I don’t understand what happened in the store 🙁
A classic gourmand. Rich, with a nice bottle and packaging… the salty popcorn note is striking, though the perfume stands out for being sweet without being vulgar or cloying. It suits almost everyone, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
The best perfume in the world, period. If you’re craving something gourmand, sweet and original, this is yours. It’s authentic and full of personality; I’ve been collecting for years and nothing has pleased me more or as much.
Ever since I heard it the first time, I liked it for how special I find it. I’m not into overly sweet gourmand perfumes, but this one fell in love with me. My boyfriend, knowing I liked it and he did too, gave it to me. I just sprayed it and it’s a scent that, although sweet, is very nice; I don’t notice it being sickly. I reiterate that I prefer other styles, but this sweetness is lovely, sir!
I told my partner in a shop to tell me which one they liked more and they chose this. It’s a very commercial perfume (not therefore bad) and very current, a typical nocturnal vanilla style like Belle or Black Opium. However, what strikes me powerfully is the sweet-salty effect thanks to the popcorn note. The most perceptible note in all phases is that of sweetened popcorn. I slightly notice some floral from the ylang-ylang. I love it because it’s very cosy, a good roller and at the same time attractive.
What I don’t like about this fragrance isn’t the scent, which is pleasant and sure to be liked by someone: it’s sweet, vanilla with that slight touch of popcorn. What disgusts me is its almost non-existent intensity and short longevity. Not even for sleeping or personal enjoyment; it only smells good right after spraying, pressing your nose to your hand. It doesn’t improve much on clothes either. It’s a pity because that popcorn scent made me feel so tempted… lucky I got it in an exchange.
This perfume is delicious; I don’t understand why I took so long to try it. The opening is clearly freshly made popcorn, but that aroma doesn’t last; it transforms quickly into very soft and warm honey biscuits (although honey isn’t declared). On my skin, the longevity and trail are good.
It’s a sensual, captivating and addictive perfume because of that goat milk scent. I wore it once to the cinema and it was delightful. The downside is that it doesn’t leave a trail on my skin; although it smells nice, I had to apply a lot so it wouldn’t fade. I wore it in the middle of summer: at first it smells strongly of goat milk, then it fades and is only detectable up close.
It’s a pity because the notes seem interesting and some are unusual, but the perfume I tried didn’t attract me. Yes, it was sweet and feminine, but I don’t know whether it was the ylang-ylang or the popcorn notes that went wrong due to oxidation. The trail became almost unpleasant.
Hello, does anyone know if there’s a dupe for this fragrance? Thanks.
Vidal10 can be found at Perfumarte.
I absolutely love it! The first time I tried it, I was fascinated. That aroma of popcorn with super sweet caramel yet captivating is unique. In my experience, it’s one of the fragrances that flatters me most and lasts the longest on my skin. 100% recommended.
For every taste there’s a colour, but this one smells awful. I bought it blindly because of the previous box and tried it at Primor: I didn’t even open it when it arrived. Nothing sweet, caramel or sickly as others say; for me it’s a disaster. I like sweet scents like Bianco Latte or Black Opium, but this has nothing to do with them. Don’t buy without testing first.
The sweet popcorn scent lasts minutes, leaving then warm butter with sugar. This accord drops and by the hour coconut and vanilla predominate, not sunscreen, but woody coconut. As it settles, the orange blossom appears. Nothing to object to regarding projection and duration: it’s a beast. I tested it for a month with high expectations, but it didn’t work for me. I found it cheap, probably due to that vanilla with Play-Doh hints that sounds artificial and cuts costs (D&G, I’m looking at you and the destruction of Sicily). I see it as feminine, for mid-season, informal, specifically for the club. Pleasant: 4/10, Interesting: 2/10, Versatile: 7/10, Original: 7/10.
I bought it over a month ago. When I opened it I didn’t like it and put it away. Today I took it out to try it and I liked it a lot. It will stay for this autumn. It arrived in summer and I found it tiring, but today with fresh weather it’s a gem. Thank goodness I didn’t wear it out. It’s batch 201i, not reformulated, with a velvet box. I’m not an expert, but I notice lots of vanilla, a little powdery without exaggeration, everything blends well well. I don’t feel orange blossom, but I do smell the coconut, the yellow flower and the delicious musk. I never found a smell of tortillas; I think those who notice it have olfactory problems.
I just realised it has been discontinued (at least in Mexico), or production has stopped. If it’s a reformulation, it will be worse. I have a bottle from the first batch with a velvet box; exquisite aroma, ultra feminine. The salty popcorn note feels nice, with creamy vanilla and coconut. Definitely for autumn and winter, not for heat. I don’t know what neural damage those who say it smells like tortillas have; it’s a beautiful perfume, sweet but not for girls, it’s for a playful and sensual woman.
Beware of testers; today I smelled several in poor condition. I recommend testing it on the skin before buying. Yes, the popcorn is noticeable when you spray it, then it evolves and the trail several hours later is between fruity and floral.
A substantial perfume, nocturnal and sensual. It feels vanilla-like but not gourmand; the warm popcorn opening is very peculiar. It lasts almost all day on my skin, although I reapply in the afternoon so it regains its trail. It generates compliments and makes me feel sexy. I love it.
I used it again after a break. It is the epitome of a vanilla scent, so warm and sweet, enveloping and sexy. Ideal as a signature scent for autumn and winter, or for casual outings on summer nights.
I bought it blind and I have no regrets, 10/10. It’s very wearable, sweet and sexy, with a little salty touch. I love it; it makes me feel super feminine.
Perhaps it evolved, but when I bought it I couldn’t stop smelling the popcorn; I got tired of it. Now I notice that floral side of the ylang-ylang with a sandalwood base, it’s madness! Like a cheaper, extra feminine version of Paula’s Ibiza Eclectic with popcorn at the start.
I adore it! My favourites are the ones that change like a chameleon, such as this one. The notes come out at intervals: coconut, ylang-ylang, musk, popcorn, evolving over hours. What a delight. It smells sweet, salty, tropical, floral, warm, intense, lasts long, projects well, and is ultra sexy. A gem, a staple in my collection.
I bought decants and this fragrance didn’t agree with me due to the popcorn note. Although I know they are salty and noticeable, that salty note just doesn’t suit me. After two hours, it dries down and the coconut appears with a powdery touch; I’m not sure if it’s the same note. By five hours, close to the skin, it smells sweeter and remains powdery. I liked the coconut, but the rest not so much. Tastes are personal, but don’t buy blindly.
