Descripción
The Icon Elixir by Antonio Banderas is a men's fragrance from the olfactive family launched in 2023. The nose behind this creation is Coralie Spicher. The top notes unfold spices, citrus, cardamom and ginger; the heart reveals marine notes, lavender and sea salt; while the base settles with musk and woody notes.

Smells 95% like Bad Boy Le Parfum (some say it’s like Bad Boy Cobalt)… but it doesn’t matter. It’s definitely a dupe.
Another thing, it doesn’t smell like the other AB Icons. It’s ideal for everyday use, at the office or for going out without much rush, but I wouldn’t wear it for a special night. For the price it has, it’s a good purchase.
Hello, Icon Elixir isn’t an extraordinary perfume, but it has that DNA that women love in an incredible way; my wife prefers it over Bvlgari Man in Black and Spicebomb EDT. It doesn’t last long, but it’s super affordable and you can get away with wearing a lot.
Quite good for daily use and hot days. Personally, it doesn’t have much projection, but it has good longevity, depending on each person’s pH. Very good fragrance, recommended.
Good fragrance for the price; I love the smell although it’s generic; it has that Invictus vibe. It’s a well-crafted scent, citrusy, fruity and marine, with a slightly sweet bubblegum smell that I like. It’s similar to Invictus Platinum but without that green touch of the Paco Rabanne version. It doesn’t seem equal to Bad Boy Cobalt, perhaps because I don’t like the noticeable pepper there, unlike the The Icon Elixir which is more fruity. It lasts and projects moderately: two hours with a good trail, then it sticks to the skin and lasts 6 or 7 hours. In terms of value for money, I love it; it’s the best in the line, but nothing special as it’s a generic, typical youthful scent.
Decent fragrance for the price: 20€ for 100ml. For me, it’s the best of the three; although the EDT is different, both are the best, while the EDP doesn’t convince me. In terms of longevity and performance, it wins, lasting around 6-7 hours. The trail and projection are moderate to low (about one metre, 90-120 minutes), but it’s not bad. On a summer day, I wore it at 7 AM and by 9 PM, after sweating at the gym, it started projecting and leaving a trail. I was blown away: at 14 hours it was still there. It’s versatile, easy to wear, noticeable but not invasive, intimate and perfect for everyday use, even with a suit. It’s a common, mainstream scent, but not bad for that. I compared it to Versace Dylan Blue and they are 80-85% similar in the dry down; this one is sweeter, sparkling and more youthful. It also reminds me of Montblanc Legend EDP, which is deeper, darker, more elegant, with unbeatable leather and violet notes. Good fragrance, I give it a 6/10.
The price is fair. For us Chileans, there’s a lost sibling called Eminence Acqua that costs half the price, although The Icon lasts longer, is more complex, and less youthful. If you have the Eminence, don’t miss out on this one.
I’ve worn this almost exclusively for the past year. It has that sweet yet masculine balance, fresh and clean. The top notes are spicy and rich, but the heart is the best part: sweet and masculine, a delicious blend. The base notes fade quickly, almost imperceptibly. It’s one of my favourites, ideal for younger men and the scent I’d like to be remembered by.
Smells good, similar to Invictus but with a more marine and fresh opening, like freshly applied deodorant. Once it dries down, the musk stands out without being too spicy or too spiced, just right. If you’re looking for something affordable and uncomplicated, it’s a great option.
Where can I get this in Spain?
It is a good fragrance for its price, there are better ones, but for me it has a special factor: it is the one my grandfather used.
It reminds me a lot of Allure Sport when dry; could you confirm this? Or is it just me?
This The Icon is a wearable perfume, not my favourite from the line. It is fresh and nice, but it doesn’t attract much attention. Its opening does not please me; it feels very synthetic, rubbery, like rubber (though I think it is the salty notes), then it fades and the citrus and marine notes begin. I think it is a good alternative for casual things and spring or summer days.
One of the best from Antonio Banderas: good, handsome and cheap. I have received many compliments with it; honestly, I give it 9/10.
It is like an Invictus Platinum but at a quarter of the price, recommended.
It stands completely apart from the scents of its two previous siblings. If you like the DNA of Invictus, this is for you and at a quarter of the price. It is a naturally marine fragrance that, with the musk and woody base, gains an exquisite body, even for formal occasions. It is much more noticeable in climates above 20 degrees, but I have used it in the cold and the compliments still come, especially from girls. In my opinion, the best of the The Icon family.
Many say it resembles Invictus Platinum or Bad Boy Cobalt, but if you are looking for the budget version of those, this is not it. Perhaps only the first five minutes share notes; afterwards, lavender takes over and it has nothing to do with them. It offers performance matching the price, being a versatile and generic version of the line, but don’t expect a shower of compliments.
A great budget option for everyday wear for young people. I don’t think it has a very wide trail, but it guarantees smelling good with moderate longevity on the skin.
Very nice scent with good longevity and moderate trail/projection. Marine, salty, masculine and seductive with citrus notes. Ideal for young men aged 15 to 35, perfect for going out at night in spring or summer.
I applied it at 8:30 pm and it was still on my skin the next day. It leaves a nice trail, though the projection isn’t strong. I loved the aroma and so did my partner; I highly recommend it. As of today, it is my favourite from the Antonio Banderas range, alongside Blue Seduction. I would place The Icon EDT in third position.
The Icon Elixir by Antonio Banderas is a rather good option for a low-cost perfume. It has a pleasant scent and acceptable performance in terms of longevity and projection. It’s not the most sophisticated, but it does a good job for its price.
This perfume is rich, tasty, fresh, and slightly woody; it looks spectacular. Very good for everyday wear and special occasions. It serves for day and night, super versatile, and delivers in every season. There’s no age limit and you’ll receive several compliments. It projects well for the first two hours and makes you feel noticed. It’s not a beastmode, but if you reapply with a decant, you’re set. It has an excellent price and is a sure winner; it won’t disappoint you.
The Icon Elixir has body and follows the line of new perfumes: it starts with citrus notes loaded with cardamom and warm spices, then turns sweet with a musky touch and woods, while the cardamom remains. I didn’t notice much salt or aquatic notes; I did sense the lavender and citrus which make it more wearable. It’s good, easy, and suitable for any age, very versatile. What I find disappointing is that it lasts a mere breath, about 3 hours, and projects for an hour. It’s sad that A.B releases quality items that never last. If you find it cheap, it’s a safe buy; you just have to reapply. Perhaps it was my pH. Scent 7.5/10, Price 8/10, Longevity 3/10, Versatility 9/10, for ages 15-30.
It’s a rare fragrance: it opens very fresh, but its entire dry-down becomes sweet and warm, which is why I think it suits any weather.
I bought this for this summer and used it at a wedding. In my opinion, it’s a very good option: it smells fresh and marine. At first, I sensed a salty touch (probably my pH), but once dry, it leaves a fresh marine scent that is very masculine. It’s safe and easy for everyday wear or an afternoon outing. It’s not a beastmode, but it has good performance for its accessible price (it lasted me about 6 hours). If you’re looking for something marine like Invictus and economical, especially with the deodorant included, it’s a solid choice.
It was my first purchase and I must say it’s super versatile; it works just as well with a suit as it does for going out. It’s citrusy and woody. When I finish this bottle, I’ll definitely buy it again.
For me, it has nothing to do with Invictus Platinum. It resembles the original Invictus a bit more, along with Ultra Male.
What a fantastic scent, I absolutely love it! It’s versatile enough for anything, though I think it really shines in the heat. Sweet, salty, and classy without being cloying. Bravo! The only downside is the longevity and projection could be better, especially here where it’s so hot. On my skin and in this climate, it lasts a moderate amount of time, which justifies its low price. If anyone knows of something that smells similar but lasts longer, I’d be grateful. I tried IPR, but they aren’t the same for me. I’ll keep an eye on Odyssey Aqua by Armaf.
It doesn’t last at all. It’s delicious, but I don’t recommend throwing money away on something that fades in an hour.
Smells exactly like Invictus Platinum and lasts a long time. Once dry, it reminds me of Legend Spirit by Montblanc; it’s a blend of the two, though it also recalls classics like Halloween Hero or Cobalt by CH, all from that same line. To me, it leans more towards Platinum and Spirit. It lasts about 6-7 hours; it’s not a beast but it holds its own. The projection is short but noticeable. A super fresh aroma for extreme heat, youthful for ages 15 to 30, ideal for daily wear, and great value.
Undoubtedly, regarding the scent strictly, it is a very rich fragrance: marine, masculine, clean, with lavender, salt, and musk. For daily use in spring and summer, super versatile. Now, regarding longevity and projection, it leaves much to be desired (3h on skin and low trail); however, given it hovers around 20 dollars, you can’t ask for more. If it had more consistency, it would be a top perfume. Final note: 7.75
One of my first and favourite perfumes. My wife loves it. It’s not heavy, it’s rich, fresh, ideal after a shower, the gym, the office… in short, for daily use. It’s not exorbitant; in Argentina it can be found for 40/50 thousand pesos everywhere, even on instalments. The longevity isn’t the best (max 3 hours), but you carry a rollerball and apply when needed. The trail is noticeable, but it doesn’t overwhelm
It has something I love, perhaps fresh notes that make you feel like you’ve just stepped out of the shower. Women find it appealing, fresh, and subtle, calling attention without being intrusively annoying. Given its price and scent, highly recommended
Very rich aroma, very similar to Invictus Platinum but with short longevity. In short, it’s a rich perfume for everyday life, cheap in my country (Argentina), and you need to carry a rollerball to reapply
I have four Antonio Banderas perfumes: Blue Seduction and King of Seduction for daily wear, and The Icon EDT and Elixir for gatherings or night outings in spring and summer. They never fail. For autumn and winter, I go for designer scents, sweet and potent
Rich fragrance. The opening can be a bit synthetic, but the dry down is rich for what it costs
It’s a perfume that, although declared masculine, a girl would wear it easily due to its citrus fruits and spices. It has good performance, around 5 hours, although it lasts longer on clothes. The blend of fruits, spices, and wood is phenomenal. Women love it. It’s very versatile, but better in cool or cold climates. You buy it with your eyes closed. 100% recommended
This is my first review and I chose this perfume because it was the first one I bought. I’m not an expert, but in this world it becomes addictive. The scent on the cap is fresh, marine, with a spicy touch. The opening is explosive, mixing citrus and synthetic spices but not for that reason bad. Then it becomes warm and sweet due to the cardamom, losing freshness. As the heart arrives, the spice lowers and the marine notes and lavender rise (it smells like lavender soap to me, I like it). The musk gives a sensation of clean, masculine laundry. Drying down, light woody notes. It suits everything: work, uni, friends, or dates. I recommend it for spring or autumn; in summer it might feel heavy due to the warm base. Strong trail at the start but moderate later. Projection 1h to 1h30. Longevity around 5h on skin. Daily and informal use. Age 20-25 years. It’s rich, clean, versatile, and good value (40k in Argentina). It feels made for a young man; I don’t think it’s unisex. Women like it because it’s clean. Ultimately, that’s my impression
I bought it already owning the EDT version of The Icon, but to be honest, I didn’t like it as much; it smells much sweeter and has a softer trail than the original. The original feels more distinguished and is the one I wear to work, whereas I can’t see any situation where this is better than the original or the EDP
The youngest in the The Icon line, reminiscent of the delicious Invictus Acqua but with a medicinal base that doesn’t quite convince me compared to Legend Spirit, although it is the most vibrant of all thanks to that energetic DNA. Undoubtedly it has the best performance in the collection: clean, sweet, with a trail and average longevity; I couldn’t ask for more. Scent 9/10, Price 8/10, Projection 8/10, Longevity 8/10
